Remove key number from keys.
The key number is specified in the vehicle
docum ents and in the C ar Pass 3.
Alloy wheels 3, towing equip ment 3: make
a note of the key identifier cod es.
Elec tronic imm obiliser, radio 3: The code
numb ers are specified in the Car Pass and
Radio Pass 3respectiv ely.
Do not keep the Car Pass and Radio Pass in
the vehicle.

Seat adjustment 3:

Pull lever atside
Lift lever and remove weight from seat to
raise it or press down on seat with body
weight to lower it.
N ever adjust the driver's seat whilst driving.
It could move in an uncontrolled manner
when the lever has been pulled.

Fi tting seat belt :
Smoothly pull from inertia reel,
guide over shoulder
and engage in buckle
The belt must not be twisted at any point.
The lap belt must fit snugly across the
body. The sea t backrest m ust not be
inclined too far ba ck.
To release belt, press red button on belt
buckle.

Swivel lever on underside of mirrorhousing
to reduce dazzle at night.
Adjusting automatic anti-dazzle

Dazz le at night is automatically reduced.
The mirror does not reduce dazzle when:
zthe ignition is switched off,
zreverse gear is engaged or selector lever
is set to R,

lev er automatically returns to its original
position. This will not hap pen when making
a minor steering manoeuvre such as
changing lane.
When lane changing, move lever to
resis ta nce po in t. W hen re leas ed , the le ve r
will spring back.

To aid location of the pushbutton, the red
surfac e is illuminated w hen the ignition is
on. When the button is pressed , its control
indicator flashes in time with the hazard
warning lamp s.

Setting wip er interval to a value between
2 and 15 seconds:

The interval remains stored until the next
cha ng e or the ignition is switched off.
Switching the ignition off and moving the
stalk to $ sets the interval to 7 seconds.
Automatic wiper with rain sensor 3:
Move lever up

Automatic wiping $: The rain sensor
detects the amount of w ater on the
windscreen and automatically regulates
th e wind scre en wipe rs.
Push lever down to switch off.

selected manually.

Operating windscreen and
headlamp wash systems 3:
Pull stalk tow ards steering wheel
The w ip ers will swipe for a few strokes.
The headlamp wash system 3can be
operated when the lights are on.
On vehicles fitted with rain sensors 3,
operate the windscreen wash system at
reg ular intervals to keep the sensor area
clean.
