Unlock luggage compartment:

The luggage compartment is unlocked and
can be opened within 5 minutes.
If the luggage compartment is not opened
within 5 m inutes, it is automatically loc ked
again.

If reve rse ge ar is se lected with the
passenger side mirror switch pressed, the
passenger side outside rear view mirror
automatically adjusts itself to point to the
rear tyres as a parking aid (not when
towing caravan/trailer).

Manually: Press lightly.
Electric 3(both mirror switches must not b e
latched into position):

rear view mirrors swivel in.
Push four-way to the left: outside rear view
mirrors swivel out.
The mirrors can a lso be swivelled in from
the outside: Press button pon remote
control or turn key toward rear of vehicle in
driver’s door lock and hold.
Swivelling only allowed at speeds of up to
4 mph (7 km /h).

Draw seat belt smoothly from
inertia reel,
guide over shoulder
and engage in buckle
The b elt must not be twisted at any point.
The lap belt must lie snugly against the
body. The backrest must not be tilted bac k
too far (recomm ended tilting angle
approx. 25°).
To release belt, press red button on belt
buckle.

Main and dipped beam switch:
Main beam = Push stalk forward
Dipped beam = Push stalk forward
again
You can also switch from main beam to
dipped bea m by pulling the stalk towards
the steering wheel.

Operating door-to-door lighting1) 3:
Key to position 0 and remove,
open driver’s door,
pull turn signal stalk towards ste ering
wheel
Dippe d beam and the reversing lamps light
up for an add itional 30 seconds after the
driver’s door is c losed .
If the driver’s d oor is left op en, the lamps
will go out after two minutes.
The door-to-door lighting can be cancelled
by inserting the k ey in the ignition sw itch or
by pulling the turn signal stalk to steering
wheel again.
Operating turn signal lamps:
Right = Stalk all the way up
Left = Stalk all the way down
The turn signal stalk returns to its orig inal
position after use. When the steering wheel
is s traightened up, the turn s ignal lamps
are automatically cancelled.
Switch turn signal off ma nually by
op erating stalk aga in in same direction.
Whe n chang ing lanes, tap stalk until
resistance is felt: the resp ective turn signal
will flash three times.
Hold the stalk if you want the turn signals
to flash longer.
Operating parking lamps:
Light switch to position 0,
remove ignition key,
move turn signal stalk
fully upwards or downwards
As a check,a warning buzzer sounds and
the turn signal control indicator on the
respective side illuminates.
To switch them off, switch on ignition.

Cruise control operation:
Press button on stalk
Switch on: ta p button m.
Switch off: tap button §.
Resume at stored

Hazar d warn ing li gh ts :
On = Press ¨
Off = Press ¨again
To aid location of the pushbutton, the red
surface is illuminated when the ignition is
switched on. When the button is pressed,
its control indicator flashes in time with the
ha zard warning lamps.

Automatic wiping $: The rain sensor
detects the amount of water on the
wind screen and automa tica lly reg ulates
the windscreen wiper. The sensitivity of the
system can be adjusted using the adjuster
wheel:
Less sensitive = to the left
More sensitive = to the right

Operating windscreen and
headlamp wash sys tem s 3:
Pull stalk towards s teering wheel
The wiper w ill swipe for a few strok es.
The he adlamp was h sy ste m 3is ready for
operation whenthe lights are switched on.
Wash fluid is sprayed onto the headlamps
(twice ). Su bs equ e ntly th e he adlamp wash
system is blocked for 2 minutes.
The he adlamp was h sy ste m is de activate d
if wash fluid is low.
On vehicles fitted with rain sensors 3,
ope rate th e win dscre en w ash s ys tem at
regular intervals, to keep the sensor area
clean.
