6. Operati n
6.1 Inserting a Mem ry Card
Make sure to insert a memory card before using your camera.
•Push the microSD card into the card s ot. The arrow on the cover
indicates how to insert the card.
•To take out the microSD card, gent y press the end of the memory card
and it wi pop up.

6.2 Charging the Camera
•To charge the camera, connect the USB s ot of the camera [3] to a USB
port of your computer with the inc uded USB cab e.
•The charging indicator [12] ights up when the camera is charging and
turns off when fu y charged. Charging takes about 2-4 hours. For an
optima charging process, make sure not to power the camera whi e
charging.
•The camera functions cannot be used whi e connected to your
computer.
•If the camera is turned on whi e connected to the computer, you can
access the fi es on the camera's SD card.
•See Safety Instructi ns above for detai s about battery disposa .
6.3 P wering the Camera On and Off
•P wering n the camera:
To turn on the camera, press and ho d the power button for 3
seconds.
•P wering ff the camera:
To turn off the camera, press the power button brief y.
•Aut matic shutd wn:
The camera wi automatica y shut down when id e. Defau t id e time is
5 minutes.
•Shutd wn at p wer sh rtage:
The disp ay wi show a battery icon when battery power is ow. P ease
charge in time. The camera wi automatica y shut down when battery
power is insufficient.
6.4 Indicat rs
•W rking Indicat r [11]:
The working indicator ights when the camera is powered on or being
used.
•Charging indicat r [12]:
The charging indicator ights when the interna battery is charging.

S ide the mode switch [7] to the eft or right and se ect the desired mode.

S ide the mode switch [7] to the midd e. Press the shutter button [6] or
touch the TFT disp ay [9] brief y to begin recording. Press again to stop.
Recording wi automatica y stop when the memory card is fu or when
power is insufficient.

S ide the mode switch [7] to the far right. Press the shutter button [6] or
touch the TFT disp ay [9] brief y to begin segment recording. Press again to
stop. Recording wi automatica y overwrite the o dest segment when the
memory card is fu , or stop when power is insufficient.

Other icons have the same function as the video-taking mode. Note that
the disp ay wi shut down during recording in order to save power.

6.7 Deleting the Selected File
Brief y press the icon. Se ect [Yes] or [No].
6.8 Date and Time Setting
1. C ick the icon on the disp ay.
2. Set date and time.
3. Press the shutter button [6] to confirm.
6.9 C nnecting the Camera t Y ur C mputer
You can manage fi es on the SD card by connecting the camera to a
computer. To do so:
1. Switch on the camera.
2. Connect the USB s ot of the camera [3] to a USB port of your
computer with the inc uded USB cab e.
•The camera appears as a removab e disk on your computer.
•The camera saves the fi es in the fo owing fo ders:
opictures and videos: I:\DCIM\100MEDIA
ovideos in vehic e mode: I:\DCIM\RECORDER

The camera functions cannot be used whi e the camera is connected to your
computer.
When done, safe y remove the device from your computer:

1. C ick the icon Safe y Remove Hardware in the notification area at
the right of the taskbar and c ick the device that you want to remove.

1. In the Finder, c ick the Eject icon next to the device.
2. Unp ug the device from the USB port.
7. Waterpr f H using
The camera comes with a waterproof housing. It is recommended to test the
housing without the camera before use.
•Before sea ing the waterproof case, make sure the camera housing’s
rubber sea is c ean. A sing e hair or grain of sand can cause a eak. You
can test the housing by c osing the case without inserting the camera.
Submerse the case comp ete y in water for about a minute. Remove the
case from the water, dry off its exterior with a towe , then open the
case. If the entire interior is dry, the case is safe for use under water.
•Remember to put the camera in the desired mode before inserting the
camera in the waterproof case. There is no externa button to change
the camera mode.
•After every use in sa t water, you wi need to rinse the outside of the
housing with non-sa t water and dry it. Not doing this can eventua y
cause corrosion of the hinge pin and sa t bui d-up in the sea , which can
cause fai ure.
•To c ean the sea , rinse in fresh water and shake dry. Drying the sea
with a c oth may cause the sea to eak. Re-insta the sea into the
grooves in the backdoor of the housing.
