VERDE LED - RESIDENTIAL LIGHT CIVIC
USER GUIDE:
The purpose of this user guide is to explain the necessary steps for the proper use of a LED Downlight and
to assure peak performance of this product. It is intended for use as reference by a fully qualified
electrician or technician. This document should never be considered a substitute for any provision of a
regulation or state and/or local code. Please read this entire manual to fully understand and safely use this

This guide contains important information about installing and operating your new LED Downlight safely
and accurately.

Declaration of the product:
Each package box includes LED Downlight 1pc, LED driver 1pc integrated in luminaire.
CAUTION:
1. Risk of fire or electric shock. Ensure that the power supply is off when installation is carried out.
2. The light source of this luminaire shall be only replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent
or a similar qualified person
3. The control gear of this luminaire shall be only replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent
or a similar qualified person
4. Before installation the fully qualified installer must determine whether the power supply is in
the electrical input range stated in the Product Parameters table (see below) of the luminaire.
5. Do not remove the LED light or LED driver cover.
6. Any constructive change of the luminaire or driver is not permitted.
7. Lamp suitable for 50Hz or 60Hz operation.
8. The device should be installed and operated by a qualified electrician or technician in accordance
with relevant local codes.
9. Do not use sharp tools near or on the surface of the device.
10. Lamp is suitable for dimming when operated with a dimmable driver.
11. Lamp is suitable for emergency operation when operated with an external emergency pack.
12. Ingress grade IP66, IK09 Driver IP20. Lamp to be used in outdoor conditions.
13. All VERDE products comply with surge immunity as specified by EN 61547:2009. However, the
Verde Warranty also requires additional surge protective devices to be installed on-site against
the effects caused by remote lightning strikes, inductive or capacitive coupling, and switching
surge voltages. These are typically installed at the main distribution and sub-distribution panels
and are to be maintained and operational always. Refer to industry experts such as

Unpacking:
1. Unpack and carefully examine the product.
2. Report any damage and save all packing materials if any part of the product was damaged during
transportation.
3. Do not attempt to use the apparatus if it is damaged.
User Responsibilities:
The responsibility to comply with all national and local laws, ordinances and regulations regarding to the
installation, maintenance and operation of the device lies with the buyer and handler of the device. These
parties may include, but are not limited to the contractor, installer, purchaser, owner and user of the
product. Consult Lighting Application Engineering services as needed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Ensure the mains are disconnected before handling the luminaire.
2. In case of replacing an existing light: Remove the existing light according to the manufacturer’s
instructions and disconnect it from the mains.
3. For dimmable installation you will need a 1-10V dimmer switch (not provided with the product). In
this case please follow the wiring instructions of your dimmer switch & take note of the input
voltages.
1. Connect the power cord reserved for the luminaire and the
power cord of the lamppost properly:
L (brown) to the fuse,
N (blue) to the neutral,
yellow green to ground.
The wiring should be waterproof.
2. Insert the lamp lever arm into the lamp
and rotate the lamp to the desired direction
(the arrow on the lamp marks the direction of light distribution).
3. Please lock the three M8 nuts with a screwdriver.
4. For maintenance and replacement:
please unplug the four rubber plugs on the lamp,
unscrew the screws in the four holes with a screwdriver, and
separate the base from the lamp body.

Maintenance
•For the lifespan of this product and safer use, please clean and maintain this product regularly.
•When cleaning the lamp, please wash it with a soft cloth dipped in soapy water, and then wipe it
with a soft and clean cloth.
•Do not use volatile chemical liquids such as alcohol, gasoline and insecticides to wipe it. Otherwise,
it may damage the lamps and affect the service life.
Precautions for Use
•The installation must be finished before the lights are turned on.
•Under no circumstances should the luminaires be directly mounted on the surface of ordinary
combustible materials.
•Please do not cover the luminaries with any objects.
•Do not use the product in a closed environment.
•Only a professional can maintain luminaires, non-professionals should not do the maintenance.
•The external wiring of this luminaire adopts a X-type connection. If the external flexible cable or
wire of this luminaire is damaged, it should be replaced with flexible cable or wire specially
provided by the manufacturer or its service agents.
•Declaration: This type of LED streetlamp complies with the non-hazardous requirements of
photobiological safety standards IEC 62471 :2006.
