Installation
To remove the mount plate from the
shield, loosen the captive screw using
a T10 Torx Screwdriver. Then, separate
the mount plate from the shield.

Place the mount plate above the camera and use it to mark
wall mount holes.
For a solid material like wood or metal, drill 1/8 inch pilot
holes. Drive mounting screws directly into the pilot holes.
For masonry, drill 1/4 inch holes. Insert plastic anchors into
holes and drive mounting screws into the anchors.

Installation
To mount the shield, align the fins on
the bottom of the shield with the slots
in the mount plate.
Tighten the shield’s captive screw
using a T10 Torx screwdriver.

Camera adjustment
If the camera needs adjustment, the shield must be removed.
Refer to the adjustment procedure associated with your Verkada camera.
The shield may be remounted during adjustment in order to visualize the
change in view, though IR reflections without the camera’s cover are not
indicative of those that may be experienced during regular night view.

Dome Camera
For best night vision performance:
●Direct the IR emitters away from the
shield by tilting the lens module down at
least 30 degrees.
●Minimize the number of reflective
surfaces around the camera.
If reflected IR is still visible, tilting the lens
module further down will improve the
night vision performance.
Fisheye Camera
The lens module of fisheye cameras
cannot be adjusted. Installation with
Verkada Angle Mount is required to tilt the
camera down.
Avoid overhangs and reflective surfaces
nearby.
