REQUIREMENTS
1. DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.
2. 18% gre card or spectrall neutral white card for white balancing the camera.
3. Leeming LUT Pro™ for the DJI Mavic 2 Pro.
SETUP
1. Connect to our drone and start the DJI companion app.
2. Press the Settings icon and go to the Camera tab (the middle icon).
3. Set Video Size to our preferred resolution. Recommended resolution is 4K HQ (a crop of the sensor) or 4K Full FOV (downscale of the full sensor). Pick our preferred framerate.
4. Video Format should be set to MP4. Set the Camera Video Coding to H.265 to enable 10bit recording.
5. Set Color to DLog-M and set St le to Custom with the following parameters: Sharpness (triangle) +2, Contrast (circle) 0, Saturation (square) 0. Due to the wa that the Mavic 2 Pro
handles noise reduction, ou need to set Sharpness +2 to effectivel turn it off. This will give ou a natural grain pattern with good detail, read to de-noise in post if needed.
6. For White Balance ou can set a Custom balance or use Auto. If our drone is pointed at a gre or white balance chart when ou select the Custom function, it will auto-start at the
balance it thinks is most neutral, so that’s a hand wa to use a neutral chart with the drone.
7. Now go to the Gear tab at the top of the Settings.
8. Set Histogram OFF and Overexposed ON. This will help ou to see which parts of the image are blown out b showing zebras on the overexposed areas. Set Storage Location to
SD Card, not Internal Storage, unless ou forgot our SD card!
9. Go to the Iris tab at the top of the Settings.
10. You can select M for Manual Exposure, to gain access to the various controls. Set our ISO, Aperture and Shutter as needed to correctl expose our image using the zebras to find
the ETTR clipping point before reducing exposure slightl until the zebras disappear. Best Aperture is around f4.0 for maximum sharpness.
You are now read to use Leeming LUT Pro™ with the maximum picture qualit available in camera. Be sure to read up on how to use ETTR (Expose To The Right) principles via the website
