Foreword
● The person who installs, operates or maintains the garage door
drive mechanism must read, understand and follow these
Operating Instructions.
● The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage or malfunctions
caused by failure to follow theses Operating Instructions.
● Make sure that these Operating Instructions are readily accessible
in the garage.
● W e reserve the right to make technical modifications to illustrations
and specifications in the Operating Instructions.
Normal Use
● The garage door drive mechanism is exclusively designed for ope-
ning and closing garage doors. Any other use does not constitute
normal use. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage resul-
ting from use other than normal use. The user accepts sole respon-
sibility for any risk thereby incurred.
● Only use the garage door drive mechanism if it is in perfect working
order.
● Only use the garage door drive mechanism in dry, non-hazardous
areas.
● The garage doors opener is intended for private use.
Safety Instructions
CAUTION! FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT
IN SERIOUS INJURIES.
Garage Door Drive Mechanism
● Never allow children to play with the door opening system. Keep
the remote control out of the reach of children.
● Observe and comply with the locally applicable accident prevention
regulations and EC standards.
● Only install the door drive mechanism on doors that have been
correctly aligned and counterweighted. A door that has not been
aligned correctly can cause serious injuries.
● If possible, locate the door opener at least 2.1 metres above the
ground.
● Check the door opener every month. The door should reverse its
direction of movement if it comes into contact with a 50 mm high
object on the ground. Check the door opener again if the opening
power setting or the end position has been changed. Faulty setting
of the opening mechanism may cause serious injury or death.
● If possible, only use the emergency trip control when the garage
door is closed. Do not use it if the door is open. Weak or broken
springs may cause the door to fall, which in turn may lead to seri-
ous injury or death.
● Always pull out the power plug before working on the door drive
mechanism.
● Never put your hand near the door when it is moving or near
moving parts.
● Keep children and handicapped persons away from the door.
Radio Remote Control
● Radio remote control is only permissible for equipment and systems
where radio remote control of transmitters or receivers results in no
risk to persons or property or where such risk is eliminated by other
safety devices.
● Do not use the manually-operated remote control near locations or
installations that are suscptible to radio interference (airports, hos -
pitals).
● Radio remote control may only be operated after a non-hazardous
force value has been set. This force must be set low enough to
ensure that the closing pressure poses no risk of injury (see
Section entitled Force Adjustment ).
● Radio remote control may only be used if movement of the door
can be supervised and there are no persons or objects in the area
of movement.
● Caution! closing edges pose risk of crushing and shearing.
● Keep the manually-operated remote control in a secure place to
prevent it being operated accidentally, e.g. by children.

Entra nement de porte de garage
● Ne jamais laisser les enfants utiliser l ouvre-porte ou jouer avec.

actionnØs par une source d Ønergie externe ZH 1/494 d avril 1989,

● Ne monter l entra nement de porte de garage que sur des portes de

storingen die optreden omdat de gebruiksaanwijzing niet werd

● Zorg ervoor dat deze gebruiksaanwijzing altijd binnen handbereik in
de garage ligt.
● Technische veranderingen ten opzichte van afbeeldingen en gege-
vens in de gebruiksaanwijzing voorbehouden.
Toepassing
● De garagepoortaandrijving (GTA) is uitsluitend bestemd voor het
openen en sluiten van garagepoorten. Een ander gebruik is niet in
overeensteming met de bestemming ervan. Voor schade die ont-
staat door een ander gebruik is de producent niet aansprakelijk.
Het risico draagt alleen de gebruiker.
● De garagepoortaandrijving is geproduceerd volgens de laatste
stand der techniek. Desondanks kunnen bij het gebruik ervan geva-
ren voor lichaam en leven van de gebruiker optreden.
● Garagepoortaandrijving alleen in technisch goede toestand
gebruiken.
● Garagepoortaandrijving alleen gebruiken in een droge ruimte en
niet op plaatsen, waar ontploffingsgevaar bestaat.

W ordt het niet nageleefd, kan dat tot ernstige verwondingen
leiden.
Garagepoortaandrijving
● Laat het deuropeningssysteem nooit bedienen door kinderen en
laat ze er nooit mee spelen. Hou de afstandsbediening altijd buiten
het bereik van kinderen.
● Richtlijn mechanisch aangedreven ramen, deuren en poorten ZH
1/494 van april 1989 van de ongevallenverzekering opvolgen en
naleven.
● Voorschriften ter voorkoming van ongevallen en geldige EG-nor-
men in de verschillende landen opvolgen en naleven.
● Poortaandrijving op correct ingestelde en in evenwicht gebrachte
garagepoorten monteren. Een verkeerd ingestelde poort zou ernsti-
ge verwondingen kunnen veroorzaken.
● Da garagepoortaandrijving mag alleen door vakkundige personen
worden gementeerd, aangesloten en voor de eerste keer in wer-
king worden gezet.
● Indien mogelijk moet u de deuropener minimum 2,1 m boven de
vloer monteren.
● V r werkzaamheden aan de poortaandrijving eerst de stekker uit
de contactoos nemen.
● De deuropener moet elke maand gecontroleerd worden. Als de
deur in contact komt met een 50 mm hoog voorwerp op de grond,
moet ze van richting veranderen. De deuropener moet altijd opni-
euw gecontroleerd worden wanneer men de openingskracht of ein-
dposities gewijzigd heeft. Het verkeerd instellen van het openings-
mechanisme kan tot ernstige en zelfs dodelijke verwondingen lei-
den.
● Gebruik indien mogelijk de noodschakelaar uitsluitend wanneer de
garagedeur gesloten is en vermijd het gebruik ervan wanneer de
deur open is. Verzwakte of gebroken veren kunnen ertoe leiden
dat de deur valt, wat tot ernstige en zelfs dodelijke verwondingen
kan leiden.
● Nooit in een lopende poort of bewegende delen grijpen.
● Om de vier weken nakijken of de veiligheids- en beschermvoorzie-
ningen veilig werken en indien nodig defecten verhelpen.
● Om de vier weken nakijken of de poortopener veilig functioneert.
● Da garage pas binnenrijden als de poort helemaal geopend is.
Radiobesturing
● De radiobesturing is alleen toegestaan voor apparaten en voorzie-
ningen waarbij de radiobesturing van zender en ontvanger geen
gevaar vormen voor personen of dingen of dat risico door andere
veiligheidsvoorzieningen is gedekt.
● Handzender niet inschakelen op radiotechnisch gevoelige plaatsen
of complexen (vliegveld, ziekenhuis).
● Da radiobesturing mag alleen in werking worden gezet wanneer
aan de garagepoortaandrijving een ongevaarlijke krachtwaarde is
ingesteld. De krachtwaarde moet zo laag ingesteld zijn dat de sluit-
kracht verwondingsgevaar uitsluit (zie hoofdstuk krachtinstelling).
● De radiobesturing mag alleen gebruikt worden wanneer de bewe-
ging van de poort kan worden overzien en zich geen personen of
voorwerpen in het bewegingsveld bevinden.
● Voorzichtig! Aan de sluitkanten bestaat kneus- en knelgevaar.
● Handzender zo bewaren dat onopzettelijke inwerkingstelling, bijv.
door kinderen, uitgesloten is.

I. ASSEMBLY ON THE FLOOR
A

●Lay out all of the parts as shown on the garage floor, with the control
unit( 4) inside the garage. Make sure the required tools are to hand.
●Always make sure that the chain is completely clipped into the black
chain case.

●Push the motor with its chain (1) into one of the tracks ( 2). Make sure
that the contact springs are in the track.
●Push the other two tracks (2) as far as they will go onto tracks ( 3) until
the stop lugs resist. This produces a single, continuous track.
●Push the red switch marked H (10 ) into the track with the tip pointing
towards the motor (1).
●Push the chain through the opening in the switch (10 ).

●Insert the bolts ( 12 a ) into the ceiling support ( 12 b ). Mount the angle
iron( 12c ) onto the ceiling support ( 12b ) using the nuts ( 1 2d ) and lock -
ing washers (12e).
●Push the ceiling support (12b ) into the track, from the rear.
●Using the chain joint ( 5), connect the chain to the bolt on the control
unit( 4). Push in the guide cladding on the track (2), from the rear, up to
the stop bolt.
●Important the wiring grommet must be located at the bottom of the
control unit ( 4 ).

●Push the red switch marked V ( 11 ) into the other side of the track.
●Fit the chain bolt ( 15a ) to the chain by means of the chain joint ( 5) and
push the lintel fitting ( 14 ) into the track (with the open side facing up).
●Push the chain bolt through the opening in the lintel fitting ( 14 ).
E
●Fit the washer ( 15b ), the spring ( 1 5c ) and the M8 nut (15d ) to the
chain bolt ( 15a ).
●Tighten the nut ( 1 5d ) down as far as the mark on the lintel fitting ( 14 ).
Note: Hold the chain in position with a screwdriver whilst tightening
(but not inserted into the chain joint ).
●Then push the chain and the chain bolt right to the side of the track.

●Attach the two roof/wall angle irons ( 16a ) using the screws (16b ) and
the nut ( 16 c ) tothelintelfitting( 14 ), but do not tighten fully yet.
G
●If the motor ( 1) does not run free, disengage it by a single pull on the
emergency unlocking device (17).
●Fit the door bracket ( 13a ) and the pulley arm (13b ) to the motor ( 1) as
shown, using the bolt and retaining clip ( 13d).
II. FITTING THE DRIVE TO THE GARAGE ROOF
●Turn the whole assembled unit so that the opening in the track is
facing down. Unlock the door and disconnect all of the locking devices
so that they cannot interfere with the movement of the door.
●Make sure that the garage door runs smoothly over its complete travel
in both directions. If required, the door should be adjusted before the
assembled drive unit is fitted.

●Measure the centre of the garage door and mark it on the face of the
door and also on the lintel above the door.
●Open the door slowly and note where it comes closest to the roof
(including the rubber strip, where fitted). This point, the highest point of
the door s travel, must be at least 3 5 m m from the roof. Close the door.
I
●Depending on the space available, the drive assembly can be
mounted on the lintel (frame) or the roof (as close to the lintel as pos -
sible). Mark and drill holes 7 4 m m to the right and left of the middle of
the door and 20 50 mm above the highest point of the door s travel
(10 mm diameter holes for concrete, 5 mm diameter for wood).
●Important take the thickness of the lintel or roof into account!
●Insert plugs ( 1 6d ), raise the drive assembly at the front and secure the
angle irons ( 16a ) using the wood screws ( 16f ) and washers (16e).

●Raise the drive assembly at the rear and support on a ladder.
●Push the motor backwards. The gap between the control unit (4)
and the roof bracket ( 12c ) can be adjusted to anything between
0 600 mm depending on the particular garage roof. Adjust the roof
bracket ( 12c ) vertically to ensure that the door does not rub against the
track in its travel and adjust the assembly to the centre of the door at
the same time. Mark the holes and drill (in concrete 10 m m diameter,
in wood 5 m m diameter). Insert plugs (12f ) and secure the roof bracket
(12c ) with the screws ( 12h ) and washers (12g).
●Important take the thickness of the lintel or roof into account!
If required, the projecting ends of the angle irons can be cut off with
a hacksaw.

●Close the door again. Fully tighten the screw (16b ) and the nut ( 16c ).
Push the motor (1) forward towards the lintel. Hold the door bracket
(13a ) in position on the door and centre it. The angle can be fitted to
the door bracket in a variety of ways, depending on the type of door.
Predrill 5 mm diameter holes. Secure the door bracket (13a) with the
four screws (13e ). If required, other screws than those supplied may
be used to ensure the bracket is secure.
●Assembly of machinery attachment for Crawford Private. Asemble
machinery attachment as per Picture 1. Put the upper and below parts
of the machinery attachment together and lock with screws, as shown
in Picture 2. The machinery attachment is always to be placed at the
middle of the top section.

●Install the internal wall switch. The operator must have an unobstruct-
ed view to the door. Do not attach the key set within the area of motion
of the door. Attach wall switch (9) at a suitable location, at least 1600
m m from floor level.
Lay the two-core cable (8) and connect up the white and brown wires
to the wall switch ( 9 ).
●Attach the antenna (7) to the ceiling at right angles to the direction
of transmission.

●Push switch V ( 11 ) right up to the motor ( 1 ) and tighten the retaining
screw. Open the door fully.
●Push switch H ( 10 ) right up to the motor ( 1) and tighten the retaining
screw. Connect the motor (1) by a single pull on the emergency
unlocking device (17 ).

●Plug in the mains cable (6). The light must flash. (If the light fails to
flash, refer to the section on Cancelling Power Values ). To allow it
to learn the correct power values, the drive must operate through
a complete opening and closing cycle to ensure that it registers the
required power for both directions of travel. The drive can be activated
for this purpose by pressing the wall switch ( 9 ) or using the remote
control ( 20 ). The integrated light flashes during this learning procedure.
The light only remains on permanently when the required power has
been learned for both directions.
●Check the end positions for opening and closing. If needed, install
a limit switch (10/11) for the open and closed end positions.

take out the bridge at terminal 1+2.

DEALING WITH OBSTRUCTIONS
●If the door encounters an obstruction when it is closing, the drive rever -
ses approx. 10 cm and then stops in this position. For reasons
of safety, the next starting signal causes the door to move only in the
Open direction, until the upper end-point in its travel has been reach -
ed. At this point, both directions of travel are enabled again. The same
applies in the opposite direction for any obstruction encountered during
opening. If the door should come up against an obstruction in both
directions, for reasons of safety the drive mechanism switches over to
dead-man operating mode, i.e. the light flashes and the drive only
operates for as long as the wall-mounted control button is held down.
Once the obstruction has been cleared, the door can be brought to one
of the end-points of its travel in dead-man operating mode. At this point
the drive returns to its normal operating mode.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
●Chains and tracks that become very dirty should be cleaned with a
clean cloth.
●Lubricate the chain once a year with chain lubricant e.g. WD 40.
●Check that all screws and bolts are tightened. Tighten, additionally,
where necessary.
●Check the safety control every four weeks.
●Check the door springs each year.
DISASSEMBLY
●The sequence of operations is identical to that described in the Section
entitled Installation but in reverse order.
●The setting procedures described are not applicable.
W ARRANTY AND AFTER-SALES SERVICE
●If you require after-sales service, spare parts or accessories, please
contact your specialist retailer.
Important: - In the event the main cable to the 800 N tractive force
drive becomes damaged, the equipment should be sent to the manu-
facturer (the main cable is not replaceable).

●On the LIMIT OF POWER potentiometer (19), the upper limit of tole -
rance can be set. This is the amount of power, in addition to the pro -
grammed power, which may be applied, in order to open or close the
door. The maximum power between the door and the case may not
exceed 150 N. At the left stop bolt of the potentiometer, the additional
tolerated power is approximately 1.5 kg; at the right stop, it is 18 kg.
W ARNING ! For your own safety, the power tolerance should be kept
as low as possible to ensure that any obstruction s are recognized
rapidly and safely.

●Check that the driver system can be stopped during opening and clos-
ing movements, by a light press of the hand against the door,at
a height of 100 mm above floor level. During the descending move-
ment, the drive system should change direction, moving the door
approximately 100 mm in the opposite direction.
N.B: Garages with only one point of entry must be fitted with a
bowden cable for emergency unlocking (from the outside) if there
is a power failure.
III. CONTROL UNIT
OCANCELLING POWER VALUES
●Once the drive has been installed and connected up to the mains
supply, the integrated light flashes indicating that the drive has still not
learned any power values. If the light fails to flash because the drive
has already learned power values e.g. in the course of tests carried
out under no-load conditions these values must first be cancelled.
●Proceed by prising off the cover ( 18 ) over the light using a screwdriver.
Using a narrow-pointed object as a tool, hold down the code relay but-
ton (marked Code ) for approx. 3 seconds. The light begins to flash
as soon as the values are cancelled. Proceed as per the instructions
for Illustration N to teach the required power values. Replace the
cover over the light.
OCHANGING THE CODE
●Changing the code is necessary if, for example, a transmitter is lost.
●Proceed by prising off the cover over the light using a screwdriver.
The code relay button (marked CODE )must be held down until the
red LED (marked RADIO ) remains lit and the light goes out (approx.
8 seconds). Holding down the button for a shorter time cancels the
power values already learned.
●The remote control unit must now be re-encoded as indicated under
Encoding a New Remote Control Unit .
OCHANGING THE BULB IN THE CONTROL UNIT
●Pull out the mains cable (6) and loosen the lamp cover, using a screw
driver. Unscrew the bulb by turning it counterclockwise.
●Screw in a new bulb by turning it clockwise (24 V, 21 W, Ba 15 s).
QCHANGE BATTERY OF A REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
●When the battery is almost fully discharged, the control lamp will
flash when the button is pressed. At this point, the battery should
be replaced by a new one of the same kind. Open the remote control,
remove the old battery and insert the new one in exactly the same
position.
●Check that the poles are properly connected (+/ ).
●Dispose of the old battery in an environmentally-acceptable manner.
RPROGRAMMING A NEW REMOTE CONTROL UNIT
●The remote control unit supplied is factory-programmed with a code
selected at random from a range of ca.16,700,000 possible codes.
It does not require programming by the customer.
●If you should require an additional remote control, this must be pro-
grammed with your code.
●To programme the remote control unit proceed as follows: disconnect
the mains supply and unclip the lamp cover (18) with a scewdriver.
Unscrew the two screws on the control panel. Open and pull out the
circuit card.
●Open up the remote control and fit its contacts into the corresponding
contacts on the circuit card. Press the button to be coded on the remo-
te control until the control lamp on the circuit card goes out (approx. 2
3 secs.). Reverse the procedure to reassemble.
SVERSION WITHOUT OPTIONAL FUNCTIONS
The degree of back-jump on the gates after closing can be
adjusted.

II. MONTAGE DE L OUVRE-PORTE
SUR LE PLAFOND DU GARAGE
●Tourner l ouvre-porte, de telle sorte que l ouverture du rail soit dirigØe
vers le bas. DØverrouiller toutes les serrures et les blocages afin que la
porte puisse Œtre manoeuvrØe librement.
●VØrifier que la porte fonctionne sans difficultØ dans les deux sens.
Si nØcessaire, l ajuster nouveau avant de procØder au montage de
l ouvre-porte.

●Mesurer en haut le milieu de la porte et tracer le point correspondant
au niveau du linteau au-dessus de la porte.
●Ouvrir lentement la porte et dØterminer la plus petite distance entre
le bord supØrieur de la porte (joint caoutchouc compris le cas ØchØant)
et le plafond. Cette cote (la hauteur maximale de dØbattement de la
porte THP) doit Œtre d au moins 3 5 m m. Refermer la porte.

●Selon la place disponible, l ouvre-porte peut Œtre montØ sur le linteau
ou au plafond (le plus prŁs possible du linteau). Pour ce faire, repØrer
les trous percer 7 4 m m droite et gauche du milieu de la porte
et 20 50 mm au dessus de la hauteur maximale de dØbattement de
la porte THP (bØton : diam. 10 mm ; bois : diam. 5 mm).
●Attention ! : tenir compte de l Øpaisseur du linteau ou du plafond !
Mettre en place les chevilles ( 16d ), soulever l ouvre-porte l avant et
fixer les Øquerres en acier ( 18? ) l aide des vis bois ( 16f ) et les ron -
delles ( 16e ).

●Soulever l ouvre-porte l arriŁre et le poser sur une Øchelle.
●Tirer le chariot coulissant vers l arriŁre. Selon le plafond du garage,
la distance entre le bo tier de commande (4) et le support de plafond
(12c ) peut Œtre rØglØe entre 0 et 600 mm. Orienter verticalement le
support de plafond (12c ) de sorte ne pas frotter contre le rail durant
la course du mØcanisme, et aligner l ouvre-porte par rapport au milieu
de la porte. Tracer les trous, les percer (bØton : diam.10 mm ; bois :
diam. 5 mm). Mettre en place les chevilles (12f) et fixer le support de
plafond ( 1 2c ) avec les vis ( 1 2 h ) et les rondelles ( 1 2 g ).
●Attention ! : tenir compte de l Øpaisseur du plafond !
●Si les extrØmitØs des Øquerres en acier dØpassent, il est possible de
les raccourcir l aide d une scie mØtaux.

●Fermer la porte. Serrer fond la vis ( 16b ) et l Øcrou ( 1 6 c ). Repousser
le chariot ( 1 ) vers l avant en direction du linteau. Maintenir la ferrure de
porte ( 13a ) contre la porte et la centrer. Selon le type de porte, il est
possible de monter diffØremment l Øquerre au niveau de la ferrure de
porte. Percer des avant-trous (diam. 5 mm). Monter la ferrure de porte
(13a ) l aide des quatre vis ( 13e ). En cas de besoin, il est possible
d utiliser des vis plus courtes que celles fournies.
●Montage de la ferrure pour Crawford Private. Regardez la figure 1.
Mettez ensemble les partie infØrieure et supØrieure de la ferrure et
fixez la ferrure ( 13a ) avec 2 vis d aprŁs la figure 2. En cas de besoin, il
est possible d utiliser des vis plus courtes que celles fournies.

●Monter l interrupteur intØrieur ( 9 ) un endroit appropriØ une hauteur
d au moins 1600 mm du sol. L opØrateur doit avoir la vue dØgagØe sur
la porte. Ne pas installer le clavier dans l espace dØcrit par la porte.
Brancher le c ble 2 fils, blanc et marron, l interrupteur
●Positionner l antenne (7) au plafond du garage, perpendiculairement
la direction d Ømission (pour une portØe maximale).

●Repousser la coulisse de commutation « V »( 11) en butØe contre
le chariot ( 1 ) et serrer fond la vis de blocage. Ouvrir complŁ-tement
la porte.
●Repousser la coulisse de commutation « H »( 10 ) en butØe contre le
chariot ( 1 ) et serrer fond la vis de blocage. Embrayer le chariot ( 1) en
tirant sur le systŁme de dØverrouillage de secours (17 ).

Enficher le c ble de raccordement au rØseau (6). La lampe-tØmoin doit
clignoter. (Sie la lampe-tØmoin ne clignote pas, se rØfØrer au paragraphe
« effacement des paramŁtres de force ».) Pour apprendre l ouvre-porte
la force requise dans les deux directions, il faut qu il ait ef fectuØ une fois
un cycle complØt d ouverture et de fermeture. Le dØmarrage de l ouvre-
porte peut se faire cet effet au moyen du bouton-poussoir mural (9) ou
de l Ømetteur portatif ( 20 ). Pendant la phase d apprentissage, la lampe-
tØmoin intØgrØe clignote.

Contr ler les positions extrŒmes d ouverture et de fermeture. Contr ler au
besoin l interrupteur (10/11) de fin de course dans les positions extrŒmes
d ouverture et de fermeture.

Enlever le cache d Øclairage (18) avec un tournevis.
●Le potentiomŁtre de puissance « LIMIT OF POWER » (19) permet de
rØgler la limite de tolØrance de la force, autrement dit la force pouvant
s ajouter la force programmØe pour ouvrir ou fermer la porte. La
force entre porte et chambranle ne doit pas dØpasser 150 N. Quand
le potentiomŁtre est tournØ fond gauche, la limite de tolØrance est
d environ 1,5 kg ; fond droite, elle est de 18 kg.
A TTENTION ! Pour la sØcuritØ de l utilisateur, il faut que le rØglage de
la tolØrance de force soit aussi faible que possible afin de permettre
une dØtection rapide et fiable des obstacles.

●VØrifier si le systŁme d entra nement s arrŒte bien l ouverture et la
fermeture en appuyant lØgŁrement avec la main sur la porte 100 mm
au moins du sol. Quand la porte se ferme, le systŁme d entra nement
doit inverser le sens de dØplacement et ouvrir la porte de 100 mm
environ.
Attention : lorsqu il n y a pas de second accŁs au garage, prØvoir
un dispositif de dØverrouillage d urgence c ble (de l extØrieur) en
cas de coupure de courant.
III.L METTEUR
OEFFACEMENT DES PARAM¨TRES DE FORCE
●AprŁs le montage de l ouvre-porte et son raccordement au rØseau, la
lampe-tØmoi intØgrØe clignote, signalant ainsi qu aucun apprentissage
des paramŁtres de force n a eu lieu. Si la lampe-tØmoin ne clignote
pas parce que l apprentissage correspondant pour l ouvre-porte a dØj
ØtØ ef fectuØ, par exemple par des essais de fontionnement vide, il
convient d effacer au prØalable les paramŁtres de forde ainsi enre-
gistrØs. Enlever le cache d Øclairage ( 16 ) avec un tournevis. Avec un
objet mince, appuyer pendant environ 3 s sur le bouton-poussoir de
changement de code (marquØ « Code »). DŁs que les paramŁtres de
force sont effacØs, la lampe-tØmoin commence clignoter. Pour
apprendre l ouvre-porte la force requise, procØder comme indiquØ
sous la Figure N. Remettre le cache d Øclairage en place.
OCHANGEMENT DE CODE
●
Le changement de code est par exemple requis en cas de perte de
l Ømetteur portatil.
●
Enlever cet ef fet le chache d Øclairage avec un tournevis. Maintenir
impØrativement le bouton-poussoir (marquØ « C O D E ») jusqu ce que la
diode Ølectroluminescente rouge (marquØe « RADIO ») reste allumØe en
permanence et que l Øclairage s Øteigne (aprŁs environ 8 s).
●
Le fait d appuyer moins longtemps sur le bouton poussoir (marquØ
«code») aurait pour effetdeffacer les paramiŁtres de force enregistrØs au
cours de l appresentissage. Il convient ensuite de coder nouveau la
commande distance comme indiquØ sous « codage d une nouvelle tØlØ-
commande».
OREMPLACEMENT DE L AMPOULE DANS L UNIT DE
COMMANDE
●DØbrancher le c ble d alimentation (6) et enlever le cache d Øclairage
avec un tournevis. DØvisser l amoule dans le sens contraire des aiguil-
les d une montre.
●V isser une ampoule neuve dans le sens des aiguilles d une montre
(24 V, 21 W, Ba 15 s).
QREMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE DE L EMETTEUR
●Lorsque la pile est presque dØchargØe, la diode de contr le clignote
lors de l actionnement de la touche. Dans ce cas, il faut remplacer
la pile par une autre du mŒme type. Pour ce faire, ouvrir l Ømetteur,
retirer la pile dØchargØe et remettre en place une pile neuve.
●Respecter la polaritØ (+/-) !
●La pile usagØe ne doit pas Œtre jetØe dans une poubelle.Codage d un
nouvel Ømetteur
RCODAGE D UN NOUVEL METTEUR
●L Ømetteur fourni est dØj codØ en usine (parmi environ 16,7 millions
de possibilitØs) et ne nØcessite pas de codage. Si vous utilisez un
Ømetteur supplØmentaire, ce dernier doit alors Œtre programmØ avec
votre code.
●Pour ce faire, dØbrancher la prise de courant et dØclipser le capot
transparent (18 ) en faisant levier avec un tournevis. DØvisser les deux
vis du support de commande (19) et retirer ce dernier avec la platine.
●Ouvrir l Ømetteur et l enficher dans les contacts correspondants de
la commande. Maintenir enfoncØe la touche voulue (la touche coder)
de l Ømetteur jusqu ce que le tØmoin de la commande s Øteigne
(2 3 secondes). Le montage s effectue dans l ordre inverse.

●Si la porte bute sur un obstacle en cours de fermeture, l ouvre-porte

10 cm. l impulsion de dØmarrage suivante, la porte termine sa cour -
se uniquement dans le sens de l ouverture, pour des raisons de sØcu-
ritØ, jusqu atteindre la position de fin de course supØrieure. Cela est
Øgalement valable en sens inverse lorsque la porte bute sur un obstac-
le lors de son ouverture. Si la porte bute sur un obstacle dans les deux
directions, l entra nement, pour des raisions de securitØ, commute
automatiquement en fonctionnement dit d homme mort, c est- -dire
avec clignotement de la lampe-tØmoin et commande de la porte uni-
quement par actionnement du bouton-poussoir mural. AprŁs Ølimina-
tion de l obstacle, on peut dØplacer la porte sa position de fin de
course en fonctionnement d homme mort. Ensuite, la porte continue
fonctionner comme d habitude.
ENTRETIEN
●Si la cha ne ou le passage de cha ne est fortement sali, nettoyer avec
un chif fon.
●Huiler la cha ne une fois par an.
●VØrifier que les vis et boulons sont serrØs. Serrer au besoin.
●Contr ler la commande de sØcuritØ toutes les quatre semaines.
●Contr ler les ressorts de porte une fois par an.
D MONTAGE
●Pour le dØmontage, on suivra les instructions dØcrites dans le chapitre
« Installation » mais en ordre inverse. La procØdure de mise au point

II. MONTAGE VAN DE AANDRIJVER AAN HET
PLAFOND VAN DE GARAGE
●Draai de aandrijver zo dat de opening van de rail naar je toe wijst.
Ontgrendel alle sloten zodat de deur vrij kan worden bewogen.
●Controleer of de deur soepel open en dicht gaat. Indien nodig moet
de deur voor de montage van de aandrijver opnieuw afgesteld worden.

●Het midden van de deur aan de bovenkant opmeten en boven de deur
op de bovendorpel aantekenen.
●De deur langzaam openen en hierbij de kleinste afstand van de boven-
kant van de deur (inclusief rubber strip, indien aanwezig) ten opzichte
van het plafond bepalen. Deze maat (het hoogste punt van de deur)
moet minimaal 3 5 mm bedragen. Sluit de deur weer.
I
●Afhankelijk van de aanwezige ruimte kan de aandrijver aan de boven-
dorpel of het plafond (zo dicht mogelijk bij de bovendorpel) gemonte-
erd worden. Hiervoor op 7 4 m m afstand rechts en links van het mid-
den van de deur en 20 50 mm boven het hoogste punkt van de deur
de boorgaten aftekenen en boren (in beton 10 mm, in hout 5 mm).
●LET OP! Controleer of de muren/dak bestand zijn tegen de bevesti -
ging. Plaats de bevestigingspluggen (16d) in de openingen, til de
aandrijver vooraan omhoog en zet de hoekijzers (16a) vast met de
houtschroeven (16f) en de onderlegringen (16e ).

●Aandrijver achteraan omhoog tillen en op een ladder leggen.
●Duw de loopwagen achterwaarts. De afstand tussen het besturings-
huis ( 4 ) en de plafondhouder (12c ) kan afhankelijk van het plafond van
0 600 mm worden versteld. Plafondhouder (12c) vertikaal zo uitlijnen
dat deze tijdens het lopen de rail niet raakt. Tegelijkertijd de aandrijver
t.o.v. het midden van de deur uitlijnen. Boringen aftekenen en boren (in
beton 10 mm, in hout 5 mm). Plaats de pluggen (12f) in de openingen
en schroef de dakbevestiging (12a ) vast met de schroeven (12h ) en de
onderlegringen (12g).
●LET OP !Let op de plafonddikt e !
●Eventueel kunnen uitstekende stukken hoekijzer met een ijzerzaag
worden ingekort.

●Sluit de deur. Haal de schroef ( 16b ) en de moer (16c) aan. Schuif de
loopwagen (1) naar voren in de richting van de bovendorpel. Hou de
trekstang met het poortbeslag (13a) tegen de poort en centreer op de
middellijn. Afhankelijk van het type deur kan de hoek op het deurbe-
slag anders worden gemonteerd. Gaten voorboren (5 m m). Zet het
poortbeslag (13a ) vast met de vier schroeven ( 13e ).
●Montage van aandrijver voor Crawford Private. Het deurbeslag
wordt voigens tekening 1 gemonteerd. Zet het poortbeslag (13a) vast
met 2 schroeven zoals aangeven op afbeelding 2. Het deurbeslag is
altijd in het midden van de bovenste deurblad-sektie bevestigd.

●Monteer de drukschakelaar (9) op een geschikte plaats, minstens 1600
m m vanaf de vloer. Bij het bedienen dient men vrij zicht op de deur te
hebben. Plaats de bedieningsknoppen niet binnen het bewegingsbere-
ik van de deur.
Sluit de witte en de bruine tweedraadskabel aan op de schakelaar.
●Trek de antenne (7) in de juiste hoek naar de zendrichting (voor een
maximum bereik) en bevestig ze aan het garageplafond.

●De schakelaar, V(11) geheel tegen de loopwagen (1) schuiven
en de klemschroef aandraaien. De deur geheel openen.
●De eindschakelaar H geheel tegen de loopwagen aanschuiven
en de klemschroef aandraaien. Door aan de noodontgrendeling (17)te
trekken de loopwagen (1) inschakelen.
N
●Steek de stekker in het stopkontakt (6). De lamp moet gaan knipperen.
( Wanneer de lamp niet knippert, volg de richtlijnen onder het wissen
van de krachtinstelling. ) Voor het in het geheugen opslaan va de
krachtinstelling moet de aandrijver een volledige heen- en- weergaan-
de beweging maken. Dit om de benodigde kracht in beide richtingen te
lerern. De aandrijver kan zowei met de drukschakelaar (9), als met de
handzender (20) opgestart worden. Tijdens het "inleren" van de kracht
zai de ingebouwde lamp knipperen.
●Controleer de eindposities voor openen en sluiten. Controleer indien

nodig de eindschakelaar (10/11) voor open en gesloten eindpositie.
O
●De lichtkap ( 18 ) met een schroevendraaler afklikken.
●Op de krachtpotentiometer LIMIT OF POWER (19) kan de boven-
tolerantie van de kracht worden ingesteld, d.w.z. de kracht die boven
de geprogrammeerde kracht mag worden uitgeoefend om de deur te
openen of te sluiten. De maximale kracht tussen deur en kozijn mag
niet meer bedragen dan 150 N. Bij de linkerstop van de potentiometer
bedraagt de getolereerde extra kracht ca 1,5 kg en bij de rechterstop
18 kg.
ATTENTIE!! Het instellen van deze kracht moet voor uw eigen veilig-
heid zo laag mogelijk zijn. Hierdoor zullen hindernissen veilig en
snei door de aandrijver herkend worden.
P
●Controleer of het aandrijfsysteem bij open- en sluitbeweging kan
worden tegengehouden door een lichte druk met de hand tegen de
deur, op een hoogte van ten minste 100 mm boven de vloer. Bij bene -
denwaartse beweging dient het aandrijfsysteem hierbij van richting te
veranderen en de deur ca 100 mm in tegenovergestelde richting te
bewegen.
LET OP ! Bij garages zonder tweede ingang moet er een noodont-
grendeling aan de buitenzijde van de garage gemonteerd worden,
dit in geval van stroomuitval (optioneel).
III. AFSTANDSBEDIENING
OHET WISSEN VAN DE KRACHTINSTELLING
●Nadat de sandrijver gemonteerd en de stekker in het stopcontact is
aangesloten, zai de ingebouwde lamp knipperen, en aangeven, dat de
aandrijver nog geen krachtsinstelling in het geheugen heeft. Mocht de
lamp niet branden, omdat de aandrijver b.v. al een proef heeft gedaan
zonder dat de garage deur is gemonteerd, dan moet eerst het geheu-
gen gewist worden. Verwijder de lichtkap ( 18 ) met de schroevendraa-
ler. De code- schakelaar gedurende 3 seconden indrukken (opschrift
CODE ),Ca 3 sekunder = circa 3 secondenzodra het gebeugen
gewist is, zal de lamp gaan knipperen. Nu de procedure volgen
volgens afbeelding N. Lichtkap monteren.
OHET DOOR SCHAKELEN VAN EEN CODE
●W anneer b.v. een handzender is verioren, dan is het nodig de code
door te schakelen.
●Ga als volgt te werk: Verwijder de lichtkap, de drukknop met het
opschrift " CODE"zolang ingedrukt houden (ca 8 sec.) totdat de rode
LED met het opschrift "RADIO" continu brandt en de verlichting uit
gaat Ca 8 s = circa 8 sec. Wanneer men te kort op deze knop drukt zai
de krachtinstelling uit het geheugen gaan.
●Aansluitend moet de handzender zoals omschreven onder " codering
van de nieuwe afstandsbediening" opnieuw gecodeerd worden.
OGLOEILAMPEN IN DE REGELEENHEID VERVANGEN
●Trek de netkabel (6) eruit en maak de lampenkap los met een schroe-
vendraaier. Schroef de gloeilamp tegen de klok in los.
●Schroef de nieuwe gloeilamp met de klok mee vast
(24 V, 21 W, Ba 15 s).
QHET VERVANGEN VAN DE BATTERIJEN IN DE
AFSTANDBEDINING
●Als de batterij bijna leeg is, knippert het controlelampje bij het indruk -
ken van de knop. In dat geval dient de batterij door een nieuwe batterij
van hetzelfde type te worden vervangen. De afstandbediening openen,
oude batterij eruit nemef en de nieuwe er op dezelfde wijze inzetten.
●Let op de correcte poolansluiting (+/ ).
●De lege batterij op milieuvriendelijke wijze opruimen.
RCODERING VAN DE NIEUWE AFSTANDBEDIENING
●De meegeleverde afstandbediening is reeds in de fabriek gecodeerd
(uit circa 16.7 miljoen mogelijkheden), u hoeft deze dus niet zelf in te
stellen. Als u nog een extra afstandbediening nodig heeft, moet deze
op uw code gezet worden.
●Hiervoor de stekker uit het stopkontakt halen en de lichtkap (18) met
een schroevedraaier losklikken. Beide schroeven uit de controlepaneel
draaien, en de besturingsunit eruit halen
●De afstandbediening openen en in de juiste contacten van de
besturingsunit steken. De gewenste (te coderen) toets van de afstand-
bediening net zolang indrukken tot het controlelampje uitgaat (ca. 2 3
sec). Monteren in omgekeerde volgorde.

OMHOOG
REAKTIE VAN DE AANDRIJVER BIJ OBSTAKELS
●W anneer de garagedeur bij het sluiten op een obstakel komt, dan zal
de aandrijver ca 10 cm omhoog gaan en in deze positje biijven staan.
Uit veiligheidsoverweging zal de garagedeur bij het opnieuw opstarten
alleen in de richtig "open" verder gaan. Eerst wanneer de deur volledig
open staat zal weer de normale werking van de aandrijver mogelijk zijn.
Het zelfde geldt in de richting "sluiten" in beide positie’s zai de aandrij -
ver echter alleen in de z.g.n. dodemans-bediening functioneren, dit
betekent dat het licht gaat knipperen en dat de aandrijver alleen maar
geaktiveerd kan worden door het (continu) indrukken van de drukknop.
De aandrijver zai pas weer normaal functioneren als de eindaanslag
bereikt is.
ONDERHOUD
●Een erg vuile ketting en kettingkanaal moeten schoongemaakt worden
met een doek.
●Smeer de ketting eenmaal per jaar met kettingolie.
●Controleer of alle schroeven en bouten aangehaald zijn. Haal aan indi-
en nodig.
●Controleer de veiligheidsbesturing om de vier weken.
●Controleer de deurveren jaarlijks.
DEMONTEREN
●Het demonteren moet op dezelfde manier gebeuren zoals beschreven
in het hofdstuk Installatie , maar in omgekeerde volgorde. Da daar
beschreven instelprocedure is niet van toepassing.

●Neem contact op met uw dealer indien u service, reserveonderdelen of
accessoires nodig heeft.
Opm. :W anneer de netkabel naar de aandrijfeenheid met een trek-
kracht van 800 N beschadigd is, moet ze naar de leverancier gestuurd
