Setup Instructions
Placement
Because bass frequencies are
omnidirectional you may place the S8
subwoofer anywhere within your home
theatre / listening room with good results.
Voll recommends placement near to your AV
receiver to minimise cable loss.

If your amplifier / AV Receiver has a “Sub Out”, “LFE” or “Pre Out” then it is
recommended to use the “AV SUB IN” input on the S8 with a mono RCA
cable. If you have a stereo pre out you can use just the L or R side with
acceptable results.
If your amplifier doesn’t have a subwoofer or pre-out you may use the high
level input on the S8. Simply use 4mm banana plugs or bare speaker wire
to connect your amplifier and speakers to the S8 as shown below.
Port Plug
Bundled with the S8 is a foam port plug.
Please experiment with the plug removed
and inserted. Plug removed will result in
lower bass extension. Plug inserted will
result in punchier sounding bass.
