SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.
Always use the Induction Hob on a flat,
stable, heat-resistant surface.
Do not use the appliance near or under
cupboards, curtains or combustible
materials.
Position the appliance 5-10cm away from
walls and other objects.
Only use pans with a diameter of 12-
26cm. Pans with a base larger than 26cm
may deform due to the heat created by
the Induction Hob.
Do not use oversized pans (e.g. catering
pans) as this will cause overheating and
damage to the Hob.
Ensure pan handles are positioned so they
cannot be knocked or caught.
Do not use a heat diffuser or place any
other material between the Hob and the
pan whilst in use.
The Induction Hob is not intended to be
operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
When using for the first time, your
Induction Hob may give off a ‘new’ smell
or vapour. This will dissipate after a few
uses.
Do not insert any objects into openings or
cover the appliance.
The Induction Hob will heat the pan very
rapidly; add food to the pan first before
turning the Hob on. Heating an empty
pan can discolour the metal and may warp
the base.
Do not touch the Hob whilst in operation
as it will become hot during use.
Do not place metal or magnetic items
(such as credit cards, computer discs etc.)
that may be affected by magnetic fields
onto the Hob.
Do not lift or move the Hob whilst in use.
Do not leave the Hob unattended when
in use.
If the Hob becomes cracked, switch off
immediately to avoid the possibility of
electric shock.
Always allow to cool completely before
cleaning.
Do not lubricate any parts or carry out
any maintenance or repair work other
than that shown in this manual, or as
advised by the DOMU Brands Customer
Care Helpline.
Use only as described in this manual
and do not exceed maximum capacity.
Use only DOMU Brands recommended
attachments.

Induction cooking uses an electromagnetic coil to
convert energy into heat. When the Hob is turned
on, and an induction-suitable pan is placed on top, a
magnetic field is generated which will heat the pan
and cook the food.
IMPORTANT: Only use flat-bottomed, induction-
suitable pans that are compatible with this Hob.
TIP: If you are unsure whether the cookware you have
is suitable for use with this appliance, test by holding
a magnet to the base of the pan; if you find that the
magnet sticks, the pan can be used on this Hob.
IMPORTANT: This Induction Hob is only suitable for
pans with a diameter of 12-26cm.
CAUTION: Metal cooking utensils are not
recommended since they can be heated through the
Induction Hob if left in the pan during cooking.

• Place the Induction Hob on a flat, stable and
heat-resistant surface.
• Sit induction-compatible cookware onto the
CERAMIC PLATE, ensuring it is positioned in
the centre for even heat distribution.
IMPORTANT: The Induction Hob is suitable for
stainless steel, enamel and cast iron cookware
with a diameter of 12cm-26cm. Do not use
pots or pans made from aluminium, copper or
aluminium alloy. Pans must have a smooth, flat
base.
• Add your food to the pan before placing the
pan on the Hob.
WARNING! The pan, with food inside, should
be placed on the Induction Hob before the
appliance is turned on.
WARNING! Do not place any empty cookware
onto the CERAMIC PLATE. Heating an empty
pot or pan will activate the overheating
protection and the appliance will turn off.
WARNING! Keep metal or magnetic-sensitive
items away from the Hob’s magnetic field.
• Plug the Induction Hob into a suitable mains
socket. The appliance will beep and the
fans will turn on. Press and hold the ON/
OFF BUTTON to turn on the appliance. The
indicator light above the button will illuminate.
• Press the FUNCTION BUTTON once; the LED

DISPLAY will show ‘240ºC’. Again, this can be
increased or decreased by pressing the ( ) or
( ) buttons (60ºC- 240ºC).
NOTE: The power or temperature settings can
be altered at any time during operation by
pressing the FUNCTION BUTTON and choosing
the desired function.
• Once the cooking process is complete, do not
disconnect the appliance from the mains until
the cooling fan has stopped.
CAUTION: When removing cookware from the
Induction Hob, ensure you lift rather than slide
across the CERAMIC PLATE to avoid damaging
the surface.
CAUTION: The Hob will remain hot for some
time after the removal of a pan. Always allow to
cool before touching or cleaning.
NOTE: The cooling fan will remain on after use
in order to cool internal parts which become
hot during operation. This is not a fault with the
appliance. Do not unplug the appliance during
the cooling process. The fan will stop running
after a few minutes.
• Wipe down the CERAMIC PLATE with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
CAUTION: Do not use abrasive cleaning products such as scouring pads to clean the CERAMIC PLATES
as this will damage the surface.
WARNING! Never immerse the Induction Hob or power cord in water or any other liquid.
• Dry thoroughly before storing in a cool, dry place with the power cord loosely coiled.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before carrying out
cleaning or maintenance.

HINTS & TIPS
It will take a few attempts at cooking with your Induction Hob to get used to how quickly and efficiently it works
and to adapt your cooking times accordingly.
The first few times you use the Induction Hob, it may seem to cook very quickly. For the first few uses, don’t use
the timer, stay with your food so that you can alter the heat if required.
Because the Induction Hob is so efficient, you may also want to start with a lower cooking temperature than you
usually would and increase gradually if necessary.
CAUTION: Even though the Induction Hob may not appear hot, do not touch the appliance until completely
cool as it may remain hot for some time after cooking.
