A) OPENING THE PACKAGE
Please check carefully whether there is any damage with the box before you open it.
Put it on a flat surface with the arrow upward. Rip away the sealed tape and open the
carton, then you’ll find:
1) One amplifier - Voxativ A211
2) Tubes: 2 x 6SL7, 2 x 6SN7, 2 x 211
3) one power supply cord
4) one operation manual
5) one Remote control unit
Note: Be sure to use this amplifier only at rated voltage. Please check whether the
rated voltage marking on the back plate corresponds to your line voltage. If not,
please contact your dealer.
Suggestion: Please keep the carton and the other wrappings well, perhaps you’ll use
them when you will move the amplifier.
B) INSTALLING THE TUBES
Refer to the installation illustrations on graph 1, install the tubes to the suitable

C) CONNECTING
Connect the signal output of your CD Player to one the RCA input sockets with a high
quality screened signal cable. Voxativ cabling is recommended.
Check the impedance of your speakers and connect the positive (+) cable to the 8 or
16 Ohm terminal on the rear panel. The negative (-) cable must be connected to the
0-Ohm (black) terminal.
Note: To prevent damage to the circuit, never short-circuit positive (+) and negative (-)
speaker terminals.
Connect the power cord to the AC Input on the rear panel and then connect it to your
power outlet.
Note: The receptacle which the amplifier power cord is connected to must be the
3-pin grounding type.
Be sure to use at rated voltage. Please check whether the rated voltage marking on the
back plate corresponds to your line voltage. If not, please contact your dealer.
Preamp out: This Preamp-out section is especially made to drive the Voxativ 9.87
Loudspeaker System. It can also be used to drive any other device like active
crossovers or additional power amplifiers. The preamp out is volume controlled.

D) TURNING ON
When you are sure all connections are correct and the volume of the amplifier is set to
minimum, press the power knob on the front panel. The power-LED will light up and
show you that the unit is running in preheat mode. After a delay of 60 seconds the
amplifier is in work condition.
Be sure that your source is set to play and right-turn up the volume.
Select your input by using the input selector by turning to the left.
Note: To prevent damage to your amplifier or speaker, never disconnect the input or
power cable during the unit is running.

Remote control: This amplifier is equipped with a 48-step attenuator. This is motor
driven and can be steered by the remote control unit that is included.

V BIAS AND HUM ADJUSTMENT 211 - TUBES
For setting the bias a voltage- or multi-meter and a small screwdriver are required.
The measuring range of your meter must be set to 2V DC. There are two test point
terminals close to the 211 tubes to connect the test leads of your multi meter.
Be sure to adjust the volume to the lowest position and turn on the amplifier. After
waiting about 5 minutes connect your DC-voltmeter to the test points of one of the
211 tube. To increase the bias turn the bias potentiometer above the test points
clockwise. Therefor you need a small screwdriver. The measured value must be about
0.65V DC.
After bias adjustment the hum balance must be checked. Use the small screwdriver
and turn the hum-potentiometer in this direction where you can hear the lowest hum
level in your speaker.
Repeat the bias and hum adjustment after 20 minutes again until the appropriate
values are reached.

VI TROUBLESHOOTING
Basic troubleshooting of an amplifier is similar to troubleshooting of any other
electrical or electronic equipment. Always check the most obvious possible causes
first. To give you a few ideas of what to look for, check the following.
Problem
Cause
Remedy
No power when POWER is
pressed.
Mains plug not inserted
correctly.
The fuse is broken.
Plug in securely.
Replace the fuse with a good
one of the same model.
The location of music is not
fine.
L and R of input or output are
mistaken or positive and
negative of speaker terminal is
mistaken.
Reconnect it.
No sound.
Vo l u m e c o n t r o l i s s e t t o
minimum.
Source Selector set to wrong.
Speakers are not connected.
Wrong input is selected.
Turn up the volume.
Check Selector.
Check speaker cables.
Check input selection.
The noise is overloud.
Not fine signal shielded cable.
The signal cable, power supply
cord and the video frequency
cable are placed too close or
get tangled up.
Components or circuits are in
trouble.
Replace the signal cable with a
good one.
Put the connections in good
order. Keep the signal cable
away from the others.
