PRE-COMMISSIONING ASSEMBLY INSPECTION
The protection against condensation prevents water from the heating network from entering the boiler
when the water in the boiler has cooled below 58 °C.
The electronics installed into the boiler enable the control of the mixing valve, which ensures the correct
mixing of cold water from the storage tank and hot water from the furnace. When the water in the lower
part of the storage tank starts to rise above 60 °C, the mixing valve starts to open, which allows a greater
exchange of energy between the furnace and the water storage tank.
For full operation of the boiler it is mandatory to install a three-way mixing valve 5/4'' with motor drive
(e.g. PROMIX AVC05 5Nm, 2 min, 230V and flow pumps 25-60-180) or the exact equivalent of the one
described. The diameter of the pipe between the boiler and the water storage tank must be 35 mm in
diameter. In the event that the equipment installed is not in accordance with the requirements, the
manufacturer shall not be held liable for any malfunctioning of the boiler. However, the person
authorised to start the boiler has the right to cancel the boiler start-up. Any costs incurred in connection
with this shall be borne by the customer themself or by the person who installed the boiler.

INSPECTION OF THE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE STS SAFETY VALVE
MINIMUM WALL CLEARANCE
In order for the manufacturer to ensure trouble-free operation and maintenance of the boiler, it is
prohibited to start the boiler if the minimum wall clearances are not complied with.

ELECTRONICS PREPARATION
For the first start-up of the boiler and also for subsequent firing, it is essential that the wood is
properly dry. It is necessary to explain to the customer that the optimum humidity for firing is
14%. Up to 20% is still acceptable, anything more than that has a bad effect on the performance of
the furnace!
We explain to the client in what order to load firewood, kindling, ignition cubes, paper, ... It is
recommended not to display burning using a gas gun. Demonstration of combustion using a gas
gun is discouraged.
Before starting, we need to change the first parameter, which determines the allowed ignition
time. When the time set in parameter P00 has elapsed, the furnace will sound an alarm in case of
too low fumes. Set the P00 value at Vivi GT to 35.
Initially, OFF is displayed on the top screen. To get to the parameter change menu, you must first
unlock the electronics.
The procedure for unlocking the electronics is as follows
1. Hold the bottom right button no. 3 MENU on the keyboard for 3 seconds.
TEN is displayed on the upper screen and OFF is displayed on the lower screen (if OFF is
flashing, press button no. 3 MENU briefly again to make it stop flashing)
2. Press the button no. 4 and select "P1A" and by pressing the key no. 3 activate the flashing
3. With button no. 4 continue (10:03). In between and at the end, confirm with the button
no. 3
Repeat the same procedure for "P1d" (10:03)
4. Hold the button no. 3 (MENU) 3 seconds to exit the menu
The electronics are now unlocked. In the following steps we will enter the parameter list and
set the parameter P00. The same procedure applies to changing other parameters.
5. Press and hold for 3 seconds the button no. 5 to enter the parameters
6. Cycle through the parameters with the button no. 2 (+) and button no. 6 (-)
7. With button no. 5 we start changing the value and confirm the changes

8. The parameter menu is closed by pressing the key no. 5 for 3s or more
After the parameters have been changed, it is necessary to lock the electronics for safety reasons.
This is done by repeating steps 1-4 and changing the values for P1A and P1d (different from
10:03).
Now the furnace is ready for start-up. First, perform a dry run. The purpose of this is to check that
all electronic components are working correctly. Start-up and control procedure:
•Close the door and press the power button (no. 1). Blov is displayed on the screen and the
seconds count down below. At this stage, check if the fan is rotating.
•The next step is to check the primary and secondary air flaps. Look through the lid (with
the λcut out) to see if the flaps have started to open. The upper flap regulates the primary
air and the lower flap the secondary air. The opening procedure at switch-on is as follows:
oThe lower flap remains closed.
oTop hatch opens to 100%
When the sensor detects a fire in the firebox, it starts to regulate both flaps. In the first
stage, the primary air flap will be almost fully open (it must reach a fume temperature of
180 °C). When the boiler reaches an operating temperature of 180 °C, it starts to close the
primary air flap and open the secondary air flap.
Check that the mixing valve backflow preventer is correctly connected (at this stage it must
be actuated by the electronics).
•Next comes the start-up. Explain to the customer which button to press for start-up, how
to load the wood and the recommended burning procedure.
We explain to the customer that the door must be closed at all times, except when refuelling. To
control the combustion, press the button no. 2, with which the temperature of the fumes and the
return duct are checked. If this temperature does not rise within the first 15 minutes, then repeat
the firing process.
FUEL
The fuel used in the boiler must be firewood with a maximum length of 500 mm and an average diameter
of 10 cm. Round pieces of wood smaller than 8 cm are not split, but can be placed between the firewood.
All types of wood with a maximum moisture content of 20% can be burned. The boiler output is
determined by the type and dryness of the firewood.

Wooden planks can only be inserted between the firewood and must not be the first layer, as they
cover the combustion opening in the grate. The finer material can only be used as a filler for the
space between the firewood, but in no case in the lower layer. The smaller the material, the less
you can mix in.
Inappropriate fuels
Moist fuels with more than 20% water are not allowed. They cause water to accumulate,
corroding the walls of the boiler's filling chamber. It is also forbidden to burn rubbish, paper and
cardboard (for kindling only), wood dust, sawdust, pieces of wood smaller than a thumb, coal,
coke and substances prohibited by the relevant air pollution law, such as old railway sleepers,
plastic sheets, impregnated wood, etc.

CONNECTING THE BOILER TO THE ELECTRICITY GRID
The connection of the boiler to the electricity grid and the input/output components (valves, pump,
sensors...) is done via the terminal connectors, as shown in the figure below.

UPDATE TO THE LATEST VERSION OF THE SOFTWARE
VIVA GT –SW_28012020
Process, innovations and what it includes:
First, disconnect the electrical voltage from the boiler, connect the calibration sensors and reconnect the
electrical voltage. We take into account that the water in the boiler should be below 30°C.
1.) Place the fume sensor in the correct
position. Keep him in the cocoon,
deep in the ribs.
2.) Insert the stick with the latest version of
the programs into the USB slot and first
plug the power supply (12V, 1A) into the
Bootloader
3.) Connect the connecting cable to the
RJ25 connector
4.) Check the registration and correct reading of
the USB stick (symbol appears)
and press FLASHBOOT

7.) When the program is loaded, disconnect the bootloader and connect the display. First, make sure
that the calibration sensors are aligned and show the same values (a difference of + - 3°C is
allowed).
8.) Enter the entry code in the P1A and P1d menus and exit the menu. Press the MENU key (right
below) and the possibility of setting the water in the boiler (85°C) is available. Pressing the same
key again will cause the Lambda probe to be calibrated. The display shows "CALB –00". When the
+ key is pressed, the calibration of the Lambda probe is triggered. It is necessary to know that the
boiler temperature must be below 30°C. Once this operation is finished, the process is complete.
When it comes to this version of the program, it is important to note that:
-The Lambda probe through the Belimo motors maintains 180 °C of fumes by closing the primary
flap. This parameter is an integral part of the "hidden" parameters and cannot be modified.
-If the fume temperature exceeds 190 °C, the boiler starts to modulate, thus reducing the boiler
output.
-The output of the boiler is no longer visible on the display
IMPORTANT!
The SW_28012020 program version is currently not uploading to Vivo GT with Flamtronic lambda probe.
6.) With the + and - keys, select the program
for the appropriate boiler and confirm it
with the MENU key
5.) It is imperative that we wait for the sensors
to be calibrated correctly
