Thank you for choosing Watershot as part of your underwater
imaging equipment.
This Watershot Underwater Housing is for the Canon EOS 5D MK II
digital SLR camera. Please be sure to read and understand this
manual and your camera’s manual before using.
Precautions
Watershot Housings are designed and rated for underwater
use. Before packaging and shipping, each Watershot
Housings is chamber pressure tested and checked for proper
operation. To ensure that your Watershot Housing maintains
optimum performance; in addition to the pre and post dive
handling recommendations, maintenance procedures and
recommended storage conditions, it is also necessary that
your Watershot Housing receives periodic servicing by
Watershot or an authorized Watershot service center.
Watershot cannot indemnify anyone for any loss or damage to
cameras or lenses caused either directly or indirectly by
mechanical malfunction or flooding of this product.
Should a flood occur due to malfunction, Watershot bears no
responsibility for incidental damages (relevant expenses
incurred to capture an image; travel, hotels, meals, etc.).

WARNING
DO NOT use any sharp object/tool to remove seals or O-rings.
Such objects could damage sealing surfaces and cause leakage.
Use only Watershot supplied O-ring lubricant. Any other O-ring
lubricant may cause O-ring deformation, and or damage which
may lead to water leakage.

Service
Watershot recommends periodic factory servicing of your
Housing annually or more frequently if used often. During the
warranty period, if the product or any of its components, are
damaged due to customer use, or abuse, the repair service,
labor and parts, will be billed at a standard service
rate. Standard and/or Annual service overhauls are not covered
under any warranty and will be billed at the normal service rate.
For service rates contact Watershot or your Watershot
authorized dealer.
THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE OF AND IN LIEU
OF ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, OF
MECHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE. THERE ARE NO OTHER
WARRANTIES, AGREEMENTS, OR UNDERSTANDINGS
WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THOSE SET FORTH IN THIS
WARRANTY. NO OTHER WARRANTY, ORAL OR WRITTEN,
IS AUTHORIZED OR HAS BEEN GIVEN BY WATERSHOT.
SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW FOR THE DISCLAIMER OF
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW
LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Warranty Conditions
Watershot's Limited Warranty provides the original owner that
this Watershot product is free from defects in material and
workmanship. This warranty is NOT transferable. Watershot agrees, at its
option, to either repair or replace the product with same or similar product
within One (1) year from date of original purchase. Proof of purchase
(sales receipt and/or warranty card) is required to obtain service or
replacement during the warranty period. Shipping cost of the product back
to Watershot for warranty service is the responsibility of the owner/
customer and will not be paid by Watershot. Standard ground freight for
return of repaired/replaced warranty products to the customer will be
covered by Watershot. Expedited return delivery is the sole responsibility of
the customer.
LIMITATION OF WARRANTY

STATES OR FOR PRODUCTS PURCHASED FROM USA
RETAILERS. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT

WATERSHOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL,

Maintenance
Insurance
1. After use and prior to storing the Housing, soak it in lukewarm water
for about 12 hours without the camera installed. While soaking,
periodically manipulate all of the dials and buttons several times, this
will aid in dissolving any salt deposits.
2. After soaking, towel dry, remove the Back Cover, remove and
lubricate the body seal and port O-ring, wipe off body seal and O-ring
contact surfaces with a clean soft cloth. DO NOT use alcohol,
thinner, benzene, solvents or any other cleaning agents on the
Housing, Lens Ports, body seal or O-ring.
3. DO NOT use any sharp object or tool to remove the Housing Body
Seal or Port O-ring. Such objects could damage sealing surfaces
and cause leakage.
4. Store the Camera Housing out of direct sunlight in a cool dry place.
5. Use only Watershot supplied O-ring lubricant. Any other O-ring
lubricant may cause O-ring deformation, and or damage which may
lead to water leakage.
6. Replace the Housing Body Seal and port O-ring annually. If the
Housing is stored with the Body Seal and O-ring installed, DO NOT
use the storage seal and O-ring while diving. The storage seal and
O-ring may become deformed over time and cause leakage.
7. While traveling via airline, remove either the Main Body Seal or the
Housing Lens Port to eliminate pressurizing the housing. If the
Housing is inadvertently pressurized it may become difficult to open.

Such objects could damage sealing surfaces and cause leakage.
Watershot recommends that you obtain insurance for your Housing,
Camera, Lenses, and other imaging equipment. Protecting your imaging
equipment from the risk of an unforeseen incident is always the best
policy.
