manufactured in the U.S.A by Weaverline, LLC of
Churchtown, Penn ylvania, founded in 1965. When u ed
and maintained properly your inve tment will provide year
of dependable performance.
PURPOSE
The purpo e of thi manual i to a i t the operator in
maintaining and afely operating thi machine. It mu t be
carefully read and under tood before operating or
attempting any adju tment .
The photo and illu tration throughout thi manual were
current at the time of printing, but due to continuou
improvement, your machine may vary lightly. Weaverline,

Note: If bales are bound by w re nstead of str ng or
plast c, remove w re before plac ng the bales nto the
hopper.
PRE-OPERATION SAFETY CHECK
After go ng through the checkl st above and the operator
s sure the mach ne s operat ng properly, chopp ng may
beg n.
OPERATION
! CAUTION:
On models equ pped w th a gas eng ne the
muffler and the exhaust man fold become very
hot dur ng operat on and rema n hot for a
per od of t me after stopp ng the eng ne. Be
careful not to touch these tems wh le they are
hot. To avo d severe burns or f re hazards, let
the eng ne cool before transport ng or stor ng
th s p ece of equ pment.
! WARNING:
Be sure rotor s at rest before adjust ng
d scharge.
AGAIN, be sure to read th s manual completely
before operat ng or serv c ng th s p ece of equ pment!
Keep all sh elds n place and carefully follow decal
nstruct ons.
Make sure all electr cal connect ons are secure and n
good cond t on. H gh voltage arc ng can KILL.
Make sure all controls operate correctly.
Be sure that f re ext ngu sher s n place and fully
charged.
Check hopper for fore gn objects before apply ng
power.
Keep others away. Make sure only the operator s
near the mach ne dur ng operat on.
Make sure all connect ons are t ght and hoses n good
cond t on before apply ng pressure to the hydraul c
system.
After serv c ng, be sure to remove all tools and loose
objects from the mach ne.
Apply power to rotor and hopper. Check for
excess ve no se and v brat on.

To begin operation:
1. Make ure all hopper and rotor engaging
mechani m are di engaged.
2. Set grate to highe t po ition (Figure 4.)
3. Adju t di charge to de ired po ition.
4. Start the engine on ga powered model .
5. Turn on the electric motor, apply power on
the hydraulic unit or engage the rotor clutch
on ga powered model (Figure 2.)
6. Place the fir t bale or other material to be
chopped into the hopper.
Note: Cut and remove tring from bale
immediately after in erting into hopper. Any
ting or wire hould be removed from other
bundled material be ore in erting into
hopper.
7. Engage the clutch to tart the hopper
rotating (Figure 3)
8. Lower the grate o that the machine
operate moothly and produce de ired
length of cut.
Note: Moving the grate lever to the right will
lower the grate and moving the lever to the
left will rai e the grate (Figure 4.)
Adjusting the grate to a lower position
decreases cutting time while increasing
material length.
9. Continue to add bale (or other material)
when the hopper i 1/2 to 2/3 empty.
DURING OPERATION
To top operation:
1. Set grate to highe t po ition.
2. Stop hopper rotation.
3. Slowly reduce engine peed to idle.
4. Di engage rotor and or hut off power
upply.
For maintenance purpo e and to reduce
fire hazard, clean chopped material and
debri from machine immediately after each
u e. On machine equipped with ga oline
engine the fuel hut-off valve hould be
clo ed between u e .
Always wear approved eye protect on.
Do not attempt to remove any mater al or
obstruct ons from hopper or rotor wh le mach ne s
runn ng.
Never force mater als onto the rotor w th your hands,
feet or other objects.
Never stand n front of d scharge.
Keep hands, feet, and cloth ng away from mov ng
parts.
Keep all sh elds and guards n place.
Carefully follow decal nstruct ons (Replace decals
when badly worn or d ff cult to read.)
Do not open any covers or remove any sh elds wh le
rotor or hopper s rotat ng (Rotor cont nues to rotate
momentar ly after power has been shut off.)

CLEANING
Keeping the machine clean i an important part of
maintenance and will help to in ure proper operation.
In addition to general cleaning, the rotor and engine
(where applicable) hould receive pecial attention.
ROTOR
An accumulation of material uch a baler twine or
tring around the rotor can re ult in poor operation or
po ibly even rotor or bearing failure. Any uch
buildup hould be checked for and corrected prior to
each u e and more often if nece ary. Burning i not
a method that hould be u ed to remove material
from the rotor.
GAS ENGINE
Chopping paper, traw, hay or other material can
create large amount of du t. Thi make it
nece ary to clean the air filtering y tem more
frequently than recommended by the engine
manufacturer. It i be t to check the filter y tem prior
to each u e but at lea t once a week when u ing the
chopper on a daily ba i . Refer to engine manual for
cleaning in truction .
Allowing du t and debri to accumulate between
cooling fin will cau e an increa e in operating
temperature. A a re ult engine may uffer a lo of
power and increa e the po ibility of fire. A clean
engine will la t longer and deliver peak performance.
Follow the engine manufacturer’ in truction for
additional maintenance procedure .
GEAR BOX
See manufacturer’ in truction .
BEARINGS
The bearing are ealed and require no lubrication.
Build up of chopped material or other debri hould
be removed often to aid in preventing premature
bearing failure. If you do choo e to grea e the rotor
bearing , you hould grea e a maximum of one
pump of a grea e gun once every ix month .
ROTOR BLADE REPLACEMENT.
Refer to eparate in truction included with thi
manual.
Adju tment
GRATE STOP ADJUSTMENT
If any knife tip are triking the end rod on the
adju table grate while in it lowe t po ition the top
(two) mu t be adju ted. There hould be a minimum
of 1/16” (2 mm) between the grate end rod and all
knife tip . ( ee Figure 5) The top bolt are located
on the back ide of the rotor chamber and can be
reached from under the machine (Figure 6)

BELT INSTALLATION
V-belt hould be in talled a hown in figure 7 & 8.
All idler pulley hould ride on the flat ide of the
belt( ). Electric powered model are not equipped
with a double idler pulley a hown in figure 7.

DOOR ADJUSTMENT
If door will not tay in the po ition they were et
tighten the lock nut hown in figure 9.
