Installation Guide
Overview
1. Introduction
NVS04S is a Network Video Storage which records and keeps data with massi e and high resolution
for long term peorid by connection with MPEG-4 typed IP Camera, Ser er, HD products. In addition
this de ice has expandable storage capacity upto maximum 32TB through cascading additional 8
NVS04R using Cascade Network Port.
Connect the Pri ate port and IP Camera of NVS04S using Ethernet cable and turn on the power. Then it
is automatically connected without additional operation. Basic operation and configuration is controlled
and managed using bundle softward Control Center.

5.1. Power connection and o eration
(1) Connect LAN port of NVS04S to the network connected IP Camera as below.
(2) It starts booting with power on.
<ote>
1. It takes around 1 minute to boot NVS04S.
2. While it sties connection, 4 LEDs on the front panel starts lighting and all of them starts
flickering and the user can check HDD list at Disk Manager.
5.2. Connect in Private mode
(1) Connect the Ethernet cable between the Lan port and PC.
(2) Connect pri ate port of NVS04 and hub connected to IP Camera
(3) Connect the power to IP camera after connecting AC power to NVS04S
(4) Execute Control Center Configuration Tool program at PC and configure the IP
camera connected to each channel.
(Refer the channel configuration with IP Camera at Configuration Tool at “8.1.3.2 IP Camera”)

1. The user can connect Pri ate port and IP Camera directly.
2. IF the user configure the alue of “1. Cam ID” at IP Camera’s OSD menu to the rele ant channel
and it works.
3. When VS04S is connected to IP Camera v2.1.x.x, IP Camera changes its mode to recording
mode. Recording mode is limited to 2stream and the user can not change stream. When the user
wants to change stream at recording mode, the user needs to change saving configuration at the
recording channel of VS04S where the relevant IP camera is ma ed.
4. Version below IP Camera v2.1.x.x do not su ort recording mode and VS04S is not able to be
connected to it.
5. To change the mode from recording mode to normal mode, se arate VS04S from IP camera
and reboot.

5.3. Connecting in Public mode
(1) Connect Lan port to local network using Ethernet cable.
(2) Execute Control Center Configuration Tool program at PC and type the IP Address of IP camera
connected and ID, Password to connect it with NVS04S. (Refer the manual at “8.1.3.2 IP Camera” to
select channel of IP camera)
<ote>
1. One single NVS04S is a ailable to use Public and Pri ate mode using each port.
2. IP camera changes its mode from normal to recording mode when VS04S is connected with IP
Camera v2.1.x.x Recording mode is limited to 2stream and the user can not change stream.
When the user wants to change stream at recording mode, the user needs to change saving
configuration at the recording channel of VS04S where the relevant IP camera is ma ed.

6. Using Control Center
Control Center List is a NVS04S Management Software and it makes NVS04S installtion & setting more
easier throguth a PC which is connected with NVS04S in Network. All configuration could be handled in
OSD menu of NVS04S without a PC, howe er, Control Center makes the complete setting more simply.
6.1. Starting
To do setting NVS04S through Control Center, PC and NVS04S should be connected ia Network and installed
Contorl Center Lite on the PC.
6.1.1. PC system requirements for running Control Center

6.2. Installing Control Center
1) Execute “2.x.x.x Setup.exe” file in Control Center Set up CD.
To install Control Center, user le el of the PC should be Administrator mode.

2) Click “I Agree” button to accept the license agreement
3) Select components which wish to install and press “Next” button.
“WESP SDK” must be installed.
Control Center
Essential program should be installed to monitor ia accessing Webeye.
Playback
Playback program should be installed to playback quick recording file.
Config
Webeye configuration program should be installed.
WESP SDK

Schedule Backu
Sa ing program to store NVS04S’s data to sa e by schedule at PC should be installed.
Tools
MiniPlayer, Filecon erter, Onetime Password should be installed.
DirectX Setu
DirectX should be installed.

Registering at Windows start program to be executed.
4) Click the “Install” button after selecting a directory to be insatalled.
6.3. Log-In
Enter User Name, Password and press “Ok” button.
The factory default alue : User Name:Administrator, Password:admin

6.4. Monitor
Click on the icone to execute “Control Center Monitor” program.
Drag and drop the unit located at Local Area Units to My Units or click on My Units and
select “Add Unit” from pop up menu and registering box pops up. Or select add menu at Tool bar.
(Please check if the Add menu is diabled prior to change it.)

Static IP unit registeration
In case of registering unit by "Add Unit", input IP address on the message box and select "Find" button.
If its port number of unit is not 80, press "Ad anced" and re ise it. "OK" button will be acti e when
taking ser er information by ser er searching precess. Input user ID/PW and press "OK" button.
Basic information such as address is carried by drag and drop from Local Area Units. Input User
information and press "OK" button.
Dynamic IP Unit registration
In case of using Dynamic IP, register in Registration Ser er and manage it. Select "Dynamic IP Address"
radio button and input Registration Ser er and Serial Number and press "Find" button.
If search is ok, register user information.
Input WRS group ID and Registration Ser er and press "Find by group ID". If search is ok, units will be
listed up. Select Unit and input user information.
Unit information change
When changing registered unit information, select unit and "Edit Unit" and Dialog box will be displayed.
Or select "Edit" menu. user can change port no. and user information.
Delete Unit
To delete the registered Unit, select Unit and “Delete Unit” in pop-up menu. Or select “Delete” in
Toobar.

6.5. Configuration Tool
Click the icon on the desk top to run “Control Center Configuration Tool”.
