LimitedWarranty for Cast Iron Boilers:
Weil-McLain warrants that its cast iron boilers are free from
defectsin material andworkmanship for oneyearfrom thedate
ofinstallation. Ifanypartsarefoundtobedefectiveinmanufacture,
Weil-McLainwill provide replacementof such defectiveparts.
SecondThroughTenthYear-(ResidentialWater/Steam)
SecondThroughTenthYear-(CommercialWater/Steam)
LimitedWarranty for cast iron sections:
Weil-McLainwarrantsthatthecastironsectionsofits waterand
steam boilersarefree fromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanship
fromthedate ofinstallationforthesecondthroughthe tenthyear.
If,during such time period,any section is foundtobe defective,
Weil-McLain will provide replacement for the original cast iron
section(s).
EleventhYear and Beyond - (ResidentialWater Only)
Limited Warranty for Cast Iron Sections:
Weil-McLainwarrantsthatthecastironsectionsofits residential
waterboilers arefree fromdefectsin materialand workmanship
forthe eleventh yearandbeyond fromthedate of installation.If,
duringsuch time period,anysection(s) isfoundto be defective,
Weil-McLain will provide replacement for the original cast iron
section(s)uponthepaymentof aproportionate chargebasedon
thetimethe boilerhasbeen inservice. Theproportionate charge
will be equal to the appropriate percentage of the list price of
suchsection(s)at the time the warranty claimismade, and will
bedeterminedasfollows:
11th year - 5%; 12th year - 10%; 13th year - 15%;
14th year - 20%; 15th year - 25%; 16th year - 30%;
17th year - 35%; 18th year - 40%; 19th year - 45%;
20th year - 50%; 21st year - 55%; 22nd year - 60%;
23rd year - 65%; 24th year - 70%; 25th year and
beyond - 75%.
All Residential & Commercial Cast Iron Boilers
These warranties are subject to the condition that the boiler
musthavebeen installedbya heatingcontractorwhose principal
occupationisthesaleandinstallationofplumbing,heatingand/or
airconditioningequipment.
These warranties do not cover:
1. Componentsthat are part oftheheating systems, but
werenot furnishedbyWeil-McLainas a partofthe boiler.
2. Theworkmanshipof anyinstaller ofWeil-McLain’sboilers.
Inaddition, this warrantydoesnot assume any liabilityof
anynaturefor unsatisfactory performance caused by
improperinstallation.
3. Anycosts for labor for removalandreinstallation of the
allegeddefective part,transportation to Weil-McLain,if
necessary,andany other materials necessary to perform
theexchange.
4. Improperburner adjustments, control settings,careor
maintenance. Informationisincludedintheinstallation
Instructions,Owner’sInformationManualand/or Start-up,
Serviceand Maintenance Instructions, andotherprinted
technicalmaterialfurnishedbyWeil-McLainwiththeboiler.
5. Boilersoperatedwithcombustion aircontaminated
externallyby chemical vapors orwithimproper fuel
additives,or with water conditionswhichmay have
causedunusual deposits in the cast ironsections.
Thesewarrantiesextendonlytothefirstretailpurchaserof the boiler
andonlytoaboilerthathasnotbeen movedfrom itsoriginal installation
site.
THE WARRANTIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE IN LIEU OF ALL
OTHERWARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT
NOTLIMITEDTO ANY IMPLIEDWARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULARPURPOSE ANDMERCHANTABILITY. WEIL-McLAIN
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ANY LIABILITY FOR
CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR PUNITIVE
DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED
WARRANTY.
Forprompt productwarranty claims,notify theinstallerwho, inturn, will
notifytheWeil-McLaindistributorfrom whomhe purchasedthe boiler. If
thisaction does not resultinwarranty resolution, contact Weil-McLain
Consumer Relations Department, 500 Blaine Street, Michigan City,
Indiana46360-2388,withdetailsinsupportofthewarrantyclaim. Alleged
defective part or parts must be returned through trade channels in
accordancewiththeWeil-McLainprocedurecurrentlyinforceforhandling
returned goods for the purpose of inspection to determine cause of
failure. Weil-McLainwillfurnishnewpart(s)toanauthorizedWeil-McLain
distributorwho,inturnwillfurnishthenewpart(s)totheheatingcontractor
