NOTICE
The plugs / sockets of the servoTEC-S2 FS and BL 4000-C series servo
controllers are not compatible with each other. There is a risk of the BL 41xx
being destroyed here!
Observe the enclosed metronix manual!
1Single-phase amplifier BL 4100
1.1 Braking resistor bridge BL 4100
The bridge for the internal braking resistor must not be present on the BL 41xx under
any circumstances. There is a risk of irreversible damage to the BL 41xx.

1.2 Swapping the top and bottom connectors BL 4100
The supply connector [X9] (top of the unit) and the motor connector [X6] (bottom of
the unit) of the BL 41xx are identical (no coding). Swapping the connections will cause
irreversible damage to the BL 41xx.

The supply of the BL 41xx [1] with Weidmüller plug [2] and the S2 1xx FS [3] with
Phoenix plug [4] is not compatible.
Notice: The [X9] plug of the S2 FS amplifier must not be plugged in to a BL 41xx!
The wrong pin assignment will lead to irreversible damage to the amplifier and to the
USB port of the parameterisation PC, if there is an electrical connection via USB cable!

Always connect the shielding before commissioning! If the shielding is not correct,
the EMC behaviour of the BL amplifier is more sensitive than with the servoTEC
amplifier. In addition, material damage to the USB port of the parameterisation PC is
possible.
2Assignment Sub-D socket [X1] (I/O communication)
Wiring pin 11 with 24V (as with servoTEC-S2 FS) leads to irreparable damage to the
device (e. g. by test console for servoTEC)!

1Parameterisation interfaces
Valid for BL 4000 with IEF-Werner parameter set.
1.) Download and install the "ServoCommander" programme from metronix.
Link: https://www.metronix.de/metronixweb/downloads/software/
The necessary drivers for the BL 4000 parameterisation interfaces are also
installed.
2.) Connect PC with LAN cable to [X21] „RTE0“.
IEF Default-IP: 10.1.16.254, Subnetmask: 255.255.00
3.) Open the "ServoCommander" program from metronix and select communication
interface "Ethernet“.

The PC requires a suitable, fixed IP setting, such as:
IP: 10.1.x.x, Subnetmask: 255.255.0.0
Notes:
•The USB interface [X19] is not recommended! It is only suitable for data
transmission without controller enable.
Attention: No galvanic isolation. No protection in case of reverse polarity of
24V / GND.
Danger for USB interface on PC!
•The interface [X18] "Ethernet" is automatically deactivated if [X21] Realtime
Ethernet (RTE0) is active (IEF default setting = [X21] active).
