This kettle has been designed to give you safe and
ecient use and we would ask you to read all of these
instructions carefully to ensure that you obtain the best
results.
The new Terradur®-coating by Wesco
The Wesco Terradur®- waterkettle is made of high-quality
steel and is coated on the outside as well as on the inside
with Wesco Terradur®-coating.
This is an eco-friendly functional coating based on natural
inorganic raw materials. The extremely smooth surface is
easy to clean, heat- and acid-resistant. The Wesco Terra-
dur®-coating is scratch-resistant, nickel-free and eco-fri-
endly due to its durability.
Safety instructions
It is recommended that you do not leave the kettle unat-
tended whilst heating. Please refrain from filling your
kettle above the maximum water level (max. below spout).
Please avoid boiling small amounts of water as this will
cause the kettle to boil dry. In the unlikely event that the
kettle has boiled dry, turn the heat o and allow to cool
before handling. Don’t heat the kettle without water in it!
Handle, lid and whistle may become hot after prolonged
heating. The use of oven gloves or a cloth is advised.
Before placing the kettle on the hob, please ensure that
the lid is pushed down firmly and that the whistle is posi-
tioned firmly on the spout. This will ensure that sucient
pressure is able to build up and cause a whistle at boiling
point. Be cautious when removing the lid or the whistle
immediately after boiling as the steam escaping from the
kettle may hurt your hands. Remove the whistle laterally
to avoid the escaping steam.
Before use
Ensure all labels and stickers are removed. Before first
use, fill the kettle with cold water to the maximum filling
level below the spout. Boil for two minutes. Allow to cool
and empty the kettle. This procedure should be repeated
two times. After that wash in warm soapy water, paying
particular attention to the inside rim of the kettle body,
lid, spout and whistle. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

During use
Select heating ring to correspond with the size of the base
of the kettle and place the kettle on center of the burner.
Please use medium flame resp. heat setting on every kind
of hob (gas, electric, ceramic-top, induction). Do not use
high temperature settings! On gas hobs make sure that the
flames are not allowed to extend up the sides of the kettle.
This might damage the plastic parts of the kettle.
As soon as the water is boiling (upon whistling tone) the
kettle can be removed from the hob. Please wait 10 - 20
seconds after boiling before pouring out the water. After
the kettle has been used, allow it to cool before filling cold
water in it.
For cleaning the kettle we recommend dishwashing liquid
and water, a dish-cloth or a non-abrasive sponge. Do not
use abrasive cleaners. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Cleaning
in the dishwasher is not recommended.
Mineral deposits in the kettle can be easily removed by fil-
ling the kettle half with water and adding the juice of half
a lemon and two tablespoons of baking soda. Then boil the
water for approx. 4 - 5 minutes. After that rinse and dry
thoroughly.
If you comply with these care and use guidelines they will
ensure that you enjoy successful and long lasting use of
your kettle.

Die neue Terradur®-Beschichtung von Wesco
Der Wesco Terradur®-Wasserkessel wird aus hochwertigem
Stahl gefertigt und ist sowohl innen als auch außen mit
der Terradur®-Oberflächenbeschichtung versehen.
Dies ist eine umweltfreundliche langlebige
Funktionsbeschichtung auf Basis natürlicher, anorgani-
scher Rohstoe.
Die sehr glatte Oberfläche ist extrem pflegeleicht, tempe-
raturbeständig und säureresistent. Die Terradur®-Ober-
flächenbeschichtung ist außerdem besonders kratzfest,
nickelfrei, 100 % geschmacksneutral und aufgrund ihrer
Langlebigkeit sehr umweltfreundlich.
Allgemeine Sicherheitsvorschriften
Lassen Sie den Kessel während des Kochens niemals unbe-
aufsichtigt.
Befüllen Sie den Kessel bis maximal unterhalb des Ausgus-
ses.
Erhitzen Sie keine kleinen Wassermengen, da dies dazu
führen kann, dass der Kessel trocken kocht. Sollte dies
einmal passieren, stellen Sie die Herdplatte ab und warten
Sie ab, bis der Kessel abgekühlt ist, bevor Sie ihn berüh-
ren. Erhitzen Sie den Kessel nicht, wenn er leer ist!
Gri, Deckel und Flöte können nach längerer Erwärmung
heiß werden, bitte benutzen Sie Topfhandschuhe.
Bevor Sie den Kessel auf den Ofen setzen, achten Sie dar-
auf, dass der Deckel festgedrückt ist und die Flöte fest auf
der Tülle sitzt. Damit wird sichergestellt, dass sich genug
Dampfdruck entwickeln kann, um die Flöte beim Erreichen
des Siedepunkts ertönen zu lassen. Vorsicht beim Önen
des Deckels bzw. beim Abnehmen der Flöte direkt nach
dem Kochen. Der austretende Wasserdampf kann Ihre Hän-
de verletzen. Zum Abnehmen die Flöte seitlich abziehen.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch beachten
Entfernen Sie das Verpackungsmaterial. Vor dem ersten
Gebrauch füllen Sie den Kessel mit kaltem Wasser bis max.
unterhalb des Ausgusses. Kochen Sie das Wasser für zwei
Minuten. Lassen Sie den Kessel abkühlen und leeren Sie
ihn. Dieser Vorgang sollte noch zweimal wiederholt wer-
den. Danach waschen Sie den Kessel in warmer Seifenlau-
ge, insbesondere das Innere, den Deckel, die Tülle und die
Flöte. Danach sorgfältig abspülen und trocknen.

Während des Gebrauchs
Wählen Sie eine Herdplatte, deren Durchmesser der des
Kessels entspricht und platzieren Sie den Kessel in der
Mitte der Wärmequelle.
Verwenden Sie auf allen Herdarten (Gas, Elektro, Kera-
mikkochfeld, Induktion) stets die mittlere Hitze bzw. die
mittlere Gasflamme. Bitte nicht zu starke Hitze benutzen!
Bei Gasherden darauf achten, dass keine Flammen seitlich
am Kessel hochschlagen. Dies könnte die Kunststoteile
beschädigen.
Wenn das Wasser kocht (beim Flötenton), nehmen Sie den
Kessel vom Herd. Warten Sie vor dem Ausgießen ca. 10 -
20 Sekunden bis das Wasser nicht mehr kocht. Warten Sie
nach Benutzung des Kessels bis dieser abgekühlt ist, bevor
Sie ihn erneut mit kaltem Wasser befüllen.
Zur Reinigung des Kessels empfehlen wir nur Spülmittel
und Wasser, ein Spültuch oder einen weichen Schwamm.
Bitte keine Scheuermittel benutzen! Den Kessel nach der
Reinigung sorgfältig trocknen, insbesondere den Flöten-
aufsatz. Die Reinigung des Kessels in der Spülmaschine
wird nicht empfohlen.
Kalkablagerungen im Kessel können leicht entfernt wer-
den, indem der Kessel zur Hälfte mit Wasser gefüllt wird,
der Saft einer halben Zitrone und zwei Esslöel Natron
dazugegeben werden. Dann das Wasser ca. 4 - 5 Minuten
kochen lassen. Danach ausspülen und sorgfältig abtrock-
nen.
Wenn Sie die oben angegebenen Pflege- und Gebrauchs-
anweisungen berücksichtigen, werden Sie sich lange
an Ihrem neuen Wesco Terradur®-Wasserkessel erfreuen
