Accessing Door Hinges in Preparation for Door Removal.

NOTE: A step ladder may be needed to access hinges.

Refer to Refrigerator Doors and Drawer in the Use and Care Manual for complete instructions.
Door Removal and Replacement is depicted below. This information is intended as a supplement
when removing and installing the hinges.

Accessing Door Hinges
The left hinge cover includes a foil liner. Do not remove. See gure 2A.
With the refrigerator
disconnected from power,
remove the Phillips head screw
securing the left and right side
hinge cover to the cabinet. See
gures 1,1A and 2.

Remove the Phillips head
screw securing the “T” shaped
water tube cover to the cabinet,
see gure 3. Slide the cover
tab out of slot in the cabinet,
see gure 4.
Remove the cover to expose
the water tubes and wiring
harness, see gure 5.

Preparation for RC Left Door Removal
Installing Hinge Caps and Water Tube Cover
Install the “T” shaped water
tube cover rst. Align the slots
in the cover to the left and right
hinge plates and slide cover
into place, see gure 8.
At the same time make
sure the cover tab is
inserted into the slot into
the top of the cabinet
and then install Phillips
head screw, see gure 9.
Install the left and right
hinge covers.
Remove the 5’16” hinge screws and remove the doors. The freezer drawer removal is identical to
current French Door products. Refer to the Use and Care manual for details.
Disconnect John Guess tting, see
gure 6.
Unplug wire harness, see gure 7.
