1. Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM
Touch Display, displaying Generator information. WhisperPower has designed
and built your WP50ARM Touch Display to the highest standards for years of
dependable and accurate service.
WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM Touch Display displays Generator data. Please
read this manual carefully and follow these instructions for installation, congu-
ration, and usage of the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM in order to ensure
optimal performance.
1.1. FirmwareRevision
This manual corresponds to WP50ARM PICCOLO rmware revision 1.2.
1.2. WP50ARMFeatures
The WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM has the following features:
• Displays Generator information
• Operate Generator (Start/Stop) by user
• Setting of Display parameters by user
1.3. Quick Install
Installing the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM Touch Display involves the fol-
lowing steps.
Please refer to the individual sections for additional details.
1. Unpack the Box (Section 2.1)
2. Mount the WP50ARM (Section 2.2)
3. Connect the WP50ARM (Section 2.3)
4. Checking connections (Section 2.4)

2. Installation
2.1. UnpackingtheBox
When unpacking the box containing the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM
Touch Display,
you should nd the following items:
1 – WP50ARM WhisperPower Touch Display
1 – WP50ARM User’s Manual
1 – RJ45 Cable
If any of these items are missing or damaged, please contact WhisperPower.
2.2. MountingtheWhisperPowerPiccoloWP50ARMTouchDisplay
Attach the WP50ARM securely to the vessel.
2.3. ConnectingtheWhisperPowerPiccoloWP50ARMTouchDisplay
The WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM Touch Displays provide a WhisperCon-
nect connection for the generator; these connection can be found on the back
of the device. The device is powered by an external power source ranging from
6-42V DC.
2.4. CheckingConnections
Once the connection to the generator have been completed, power can be
supplied to the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM Touch Display. Check to see
that information is being properly transmitted by observing the GENERATOR
screen. Refer to Section 4, “Troubleshooting”, if no information appears.

3. Conguring the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM
Touch Display
As shipped from the factory, the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM Touch Dis-
plays don’t require any special conguration and will work for most applications.
Congurations with more than one WhisperPower WP50ARM display is possible,
for these special congurations please contact WhisperPower.
3.1. Mainscreen
On the Main screen buttons are provided to enter the Generator and Settings
screens.

3.1.1. GENERATOR screen
On the Generator screen the generator status is shown. The generator can
be turned on and o. The output voltage, current, power and RPM is shown
together with the historical and maintenance runtimes. Further the starter battery
voltage is shown.
3.1.2. SETTINGS screen
On the Settings screen buttons are shown to access the Maintenance, System,
Language and Display screens.

3.2. Maintenancescreen
On the Maintenance screen the User Level of the WP50ARM can be set from
User to Expert and Installer. These User Levels are protected by password to
ensure proper setting of the WP50ARM installation.
3.3. Systemscreen
On the system screen a button is provided to reboot the WhisperPower Piccolo
WP50ARM Touch Display.

3.4. Language screen
On the language screen a dropdown (English/German/Dutch) is provided to set
the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM Touch Display language.
3.5. Displayscreen
On the Display screen settings are provided for the screensaver and the dim-
ming of the screen. The screensaver can be turned on and o and a screensaver
timeout can be set. The dimming can be set on and o and a dimming level can
be set for day and night conditions.

4. Troubleshooting
Symptom Troubleshoong Procedure
Screen doesn’t turn on
Check the connecons to the WhisperPower Piccolo
WP50ARM Touch Display. Ensure that power is supplied
to the 6-42V DC connecon.
No Generator data
Check the WhisperConnect connecon from the
generator to the WhisperPower Piccolo WP50ARM Touch
Display.
