OPERATIONS

Memory Card
The rush Action Camera supports 2GB, 4GB, 8GB,
16GB and 32GB capacity micro SD, micro SDHC and
micro SDXC memory cards. While all speed class
ratings are compatible, Speed Class 4 or above is
recommended for high definition video recording use.
One of the listed micro SD cards must be installed
before using the rush Action Camera.
To insert SD card:
1. Slide memory card into card slot with label facing
color screen.
2. The card will click into place when fully inserted.
To remove SD card:
1. Place fingernail against edge of memory card and
lightly press further into camera.
2. Card will spring out far enough to be removed.

Battery
The included lithium-ion battery comes partially
charged. To charge, connect the included USB cable
to camera and connect the other end of the cable to a
power source such as a computer, 5 Volt wall charger
or Mobile power bank. No damage will occur to the
camera or battery if used prior to a full charge.

Power Button
Press and hold to turn camera ON. Screen comes
on when the camera is started.
Press and hold to turn camera OFF. Screen shows
rush image and then goes off when camera is turned off.
NOTE:
1. Pressing and holding the power button when
recording video may cause the video being
recorded to be lost. Press record button to stop
recording before powering camera off.
2. The power button is active in Car DVR Mode, while
the other buttons become LOCK buttons in DVR
mode to protect video from being overwritten in
loop mode.
White Light Button
Press to turn the white light ON/OFF when camera
is powered ON.
NOTE: The button is active in Car DVR Mode and it
also becomes a LOCK button in DVR mode to protect
video from being overwritten in loop mode.
Menu Button
• Long press to turn Menu Mode ON/OFF
• Short press to toggle between Image, Video, and
System settings.
• Short press to go back one level in Menu and
Replay mode.

When replaying videos or reviewing photos: Short
press to call the *File operations* window, you can
choose to “Return, Delete this file, Delete all files or
LOCK/UNLOCK (clear protection of files);
Long press to go directly to Photo/Video Mode.
Photo Button:
• Take Photo/Photos
• UP Button in Menu , Replay or Connect to PC
mode
Press to take a photo or a serial photo as
setting in Menu.
• Taking single photo
• Taking 3/5 photos
• Taking photo every 3 / 5 / 10 / 30 / 50 Sec.
The button works as UP button in:
Menu Mode/Replay Mode/Connect to PC Mode
Replay Button:
• SELECT Button in Menu , Replay or Connect to PC
mode.
• Short press to call replay function. First you can
see SD1/ SD2 selection options, and then in next
level you see Video/Photo selection options. Use
UP button and Down button to select from
options and files.

Record Button:
• Start/stop video or time lapse video recording
• DOWN Button in Menu , Replay or Connect to PC
mode
Press to start video recording. Press again to save
video and turn recording OFF.
Record normal video with section time set in Menu:
5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 30 minutes
Record time lapse video
The button works as DOWN button in:
Menu Mode/Replay Mode/Connect to PC Mode
Car DVR Mode
Action Camera is automatically in Car DVR mode when
mounted into windshield cradle and powered using
12V adaptor.
PC Playback
• Playback on PC (MS Windows) The videos can be
easily watched on your PC.
• Connect the camera to your PC by using the USB
Cable.
• Turn on the camera. Choose the card access with
the buttons “Photo and Video” and confirm with
the Play button. The PC will recognize the camera
as a hard drive.
• The display will show “Connect to PC” for a short
time.

TROUBLESHOOTING
About Powering ON/OFF
1. Unable to power on
• Check to make sure battery is installed correctly.
• Check to make sure battery is fully charged.
• Take out the battery, reinstall it and power the
device on.
2. Immediately powers OFF after being powered ON
• Check to make sure battery is fully charged.
• Subject to working temperature, the device may
automatically power off in order to protect itself;
related information will occur before powering off.
• The service life of the battery expires, please
replace it.
About Video/Photo
1. Unable to take videos/photos
• Please check if the storage card is full; if yes,
delete the unwanted videos or photos.
• Please check if <Auto shooting> is correctly set in
MENU settings.
2. Video interuption
• Check for proper Micro SD card type being used.
3. Unclear photo
• Check camera lens or dive box lens cover for dirt,
fingerprint, or other obstruction. Gently clean lens
and lens cover with a soft cloth.

4. The video jerks when playing on the PC directly
from camera.
• The USB connection is too slow. Download the file
to the PC first.
• The micro SD Card is too slow. Use one of the
recommended micro SD Cards.
• The computer is too slow. Connect the camera to
a TV with the AV Cable.
• The data rate is too high for the computer. Reduce
data rate to “standard”.
5. The video is rotated 180o
• Use setup configuration to rotate the picture.
About Replay
1. Unable to replay
• Check for proper installation of micro SD card.
• No file in the storage card, no replay.
• Video or photo with file name changed cannot be
replayed.
• After the folder is changed, no replay.

2. White dots appear on image
• Dust or other particles may cause reflection if
camera is used in the dark and does not indicate a
failure of the device.
• Check camera lens or dive box lens cover for dust
or other particles. Gently clean lens and lens cover
with a soft cloth.
About Display
1. Date and time not correctly displayed
• Change Settings in the Setup.
2. Display shows “error“
• The memory card is not working correctly. Format
the memory card. Card is possibly damaged.

WARRANTY INFORMATION
Consumer Warranty
This Whistler product is warranted to the original purchaser for a period of
one (1) year from the date of original purchase against all defects in materials
and workmanship, when purchased from an authorized Whistler retailer. This
limited warranty is void if the unit is abused, misused, modified, installed
improperly, or if the housing and/or serial numbers have been removed.
There are no express warranties covering this product other than those set
forth in this warranty. All express or implied warranties for this product are
limited to one (1) year. Whistler is not liable for damages arising from the use,
misuse, or operation of this product including but not limited to loss of time,
inconvenience, loss of use of your product or property damage caused by
your product or its failure to work, or any other incidental or consequential
damages including personal injury.

Service Under Warranty
During the warranty period, defective units will be repaired or replaced
(with the same or a comparable model), at Whistler’s option, without charge
to the purchaser when returned prepaid, with dated proof of purchase to
the address below. Units returned without dated proof of purchase will be
considered out of warranty and therefore are not covered by the described
Limited Warranty. (Refer to Service Out of Warranty section.)
Due to the specialized equipment necessary for testing Whistler products,
there are no authorized service centers other than Whistler. When returning a
unit for service under warranty, please follow these instructions:
1. Ship the unit in the original carton or in a suitable sturdy equivalent,
fully insured, with return receipt requested to:

WARRANTY INFORMATION
IMPORTANT: Whistler will not assume responsibility for loss or damage
incurred in shipping. Therefore, please ship your unit insured with return
receipt requested. CODs will not be accepted!
2. Include with your unit the following information, clearly printed:
• Your name and physical street address for shipping (no PO Boxes),
a daytime telephone number, and an email address (if applicable).
• A detailed description of the problem (e.g.,“device will not power ON”).
• A copy of your dated proof of purchase or bill of sale.
3. Be certain your unit is returned with its serial number. Units without
serial numbers are not covered under warranty.
IMPORTANT: To validate that your unit is within the warranty period,
make sure you keep a copy of your dated proof of purchase. For
warranty verification purposes, a copy of your dated store receipt must
accompany any Whistler product sent in for warranty work.
Service Out Of Warranty
Units will be repaired at “out of warranty” service rates when:
• The unit’s original warranty has expired.
• A dated proof of purchase is not supplied.
• The unit has been returned without its serial number.
• The unit has been misused, abused, modified, installed improperly,
or had its housing removed.
The minimum out of warranty service fee for your Whistler rush Action
Camera is $125.00 (U.S.). If you require out of warranty service, please
return your unit as outlined in the section “Service Under Warranty”
along with a cashier’s check or money order in the amount of $125.00.
Payment may also be made by MasterCard, VISA or American Express.
Personal checks are not accepted.

In the event repairs cannot be covered by the minimum service fee,
you will be contacted by a Whistler technical service specialist who will
outline options available to you.
IMPORTANT: When returning your unit for service, be certain to include
a daytime telephone number and an email address (if applicable).
