(a) Xircom warrantsto the original purchaser that:

When purchased,the Pocket EthernetAdapter
III
(the “Adapter”),
including the Xircom
AC
power adapter,
is
free from defects in
material and workmanship;and
2.
For
two
years from the purchasedate,the sohareaccompanying
the Adapter (the “Software”)and the Adapter itself will
perform
as
stated in the
User’s
Guide.

Xircom will honor claims under
this
Warranty only
if
the user
completes
all
the following stepsbefore making the claim and makes the
claim acarding to the procedurebelow:

Read the
User‘s
Guide and follow its installation,setup,software
setup, and operationinstructions;
2.
Run the self test provided on the Pocket EthernetAdapter

software
diskette;
3.
Use
the Adapter and Software only in the environmentsdescribed
in the

Guide.

will
not honor
this
Warranty (and

if
there

been any

attemptto remove the

The Xircom Pocket Ethernet Adapter
III,
shown
in
Figure
1,
allows you to
connectan

to an Ethernet

EEE
802.3
local area
network
(LAN).
The Adapter connectsexternally to a standard parallel
printer port, which eliminatesthe need
to
open the computercase
to
install
an internal
card.
