Battery
Insert one battery into the compartment as shown
Status Panel
Display the abbreviated messages and the counts of picture taken
List of LCD display messages – case sensitive:
1. Po: picture overflow
cause: compressed picture size over the SRAM size (it won't happen in this
camera)
reseult: system soft-reset
2. FL : picture full
cause: picture count meet maximum storage size
result: can't take any more picture
3. FE: flash memory error
cause: hardware error or inappropriate operation(such as shut-down power
while writing flash)
result: may get damaged picture
4. bE: board number error
cause: hardware error
result: dead camera
5: rS: system soft-reset
cause: system time-out for hardware response
result: may cause camera hung (try re-boot camera)

6. Lo: battery low
cause: battery voltage below the threshold
result: may cause picture worse quality (try new battery)
7. LL: low light condition
cause: no enough lighting
result: longer exposure time and may have noise within the picture
8. --: enter testing mode
cause: press both buttons while power up
result: start testing routine after release both buttons
9: FO: verify flash OK
cause: test flash OK when enter testing mode
result: enter button testing routine
10. b1: testing shutter button
cause: push shutter in testing mode
result: LED flash once and buzzer beep once
11. b2: testing self-timer button
cause: push self-timer in testing mode
result: LED flash twice and buzzer beep twice
Taking a Picture
1. Turn the camera on
Note: The camera will go to a Standby mode if you
don’t take a shot in 10 seconds.
2. Frame the subject through the optical viewfinder
Note: The distance between you and the subject(s)
can range from 3 feet to infinity
3. Press the shutter button to take the shot
Note: Press and hold the button until you hear a beep

Viewing / Modifying Pictures
4. Press the self-timer button to take a picture of yourself.
Note: You will hear the beeps in an increasing frequency
manner from the Camera Microphone.
1. Connect the serial port from the
camera to the computer

2. Open the DPS320 ALBUM application
from the Start Program menu

3. Click on the Download button while the
camera is powered on and connected
4. Double click on an icon to open the picture for viewing or modification

Click on the Erase button while the
camera is powered on and connected
1. Press and hold the two buttons
while the camera power is on

Note: After erasing the memory inside the camera (using either one of
the techniques described above), the LCD display on the Status Panel
should read “00”.
2. Switch the power to Off and then back
On twice while you are holding the buttons
