T-CHIME ASSEMBLY GUIDE
PARTS:
• High-end wheel assembly with stationary wheel
• Low-end wheel assembly with swivel wheels
• Lower crossbar
• Handle
YOU WILL NEED:
1. Hex key provided with the T-CHIME
2.Hex keys provided with the Yamaha YCH-6018
and YCH-7018 chimes

1. The T-CHIME will arrive in a separate box from the
YCH-6018 or YCH-7018 chimes. As you unbox the
Tough-Terrain Frame, you will see that the T-CHIME
handle is not attached. Additionally, a small metal bar
will be located between the low-end and high-end
wheel assembly. This bar is for shipping purposes only
and may be discarded.
2. The concert frame for Yamaha chimes will come fully
assembled. If you have already purchased the YCH-6018
or YCH-7018 chimes, it will need to be disassembled for
reassembly on the T-CHIME frame.
3. Remove the T-CHIME from the box. Place the high-end
wheel assembly with stationary wheels on the ground.

4. Next, place the low-end wheel assembly with swivel
wheels on the ground.
5. Insert the long lower cross bar into both wheel assem-
blies to attach them together. Finger tighten the screws.
Do not fully tighten the screws in each wheel assembly
just yet. Save that for the end, as it is helpful to have a
little give during the assembly process.
6. Attach the T-handle to the low-end wheel assembly using
the hex key provided in the T-CHIME box. Lock the swivel
casters when completed.
7. Now that the base of the T-CHIME is complete,
prepare to attach the YCH-6018 or YCH-7018
components to the T-CHIME frame.
8. Lock the wheels of the chime frame to avoid any
movement during disassembly.
9. Carefully remove all chime tubes. To avoid damage, lay
them down on a soft, level surface such as a blanket. If the
concert chimes are not already assembled, go to step #11.
Use care to not leave scratches when removing each tube
from the frame. Wearing soft gloves is recommended.

10. Using the hex key included with the concert chimes,
remove the screw at the top of the upper chime frame.
Ensure the safety of screws until the frame is put back
together.
11. Remove the upper chime frame by sliding it up and out
of the entire concert frame. Place it on a soft surface.
12. Using the hex key, loosen the screw that attaches the
pull rod to the damper box attachment. Disconnect the
damper rod from the damper box and set it aside.
13. There are two screws attached to the plate under the
damper box on each side of the concert frame. Using
the hex key, remove each of the four screws, and set
them aside for later use.
14. The damper box is now disconnected from the concert
frame. Remove the damper box by sliding it up and out
of the concert frame.
15. There is a screw that attaches the lower crossbars to the
underside of the damper box. Loosen each screw with a
hex key and put it aside in a safe place for reassembly.

16. Remove the screw that attaches each tube post to the
wheel assembly with a hex key. There is one on each
side. Put the screws in a safe place for reassembly.
17. Remove each vertical tube post from the concert frame. 18. Place both tube posts in the T-CHIME frame. Do not fully
tighten the screws on each side yet. Save that for the end
as it is helpful to have a little give during the assembly
process.
19. Loosen the screw located at the bottom on each side
of the concert frame. Put the screws in a safe place
for reassembly.
20. Remove the pedal rod assembly from the concert frame. 21. Place the pedal rod assembly on the T-CHIME frame.
The pedal should be facing the player with the T-handle
on the player’s left-hand side.

22. Attach the lower crossbar on the pedal rod assembly to
the T-CHIME with the screws from the concert frame.
There is a screw on each side.
23. Attach both lower cross bars onto the T-CHIME tube
posts with the screws from the concert frame.
24. Replace the damper box over the top of each tube post.
Ensure the side of the box with the damper stop is on the
player side. Slide the damper box down slowly and evenly
on both sides.
25. Replace the four screws under the damper box (two
on each side). Both will attach to a plate on the side
tube post.
26. Place the upper chime frame onto each top post. 27. Firmly attach the frame with the two screws provided
(one on each side).
