●About the roller mode and single mode
By extending the grip of the device in a straight line or bending the grip, you can use the device to
administer continuous-pulse flashes (roller mode) or single-pulse flashes (single FACE mode/single BODY
mode).
The device can render unwanted hair inconspicuous and allow you to carry out a facial treatment by
administering instantaneous flashes of light to the skin using a xenon lamp.
Use the device by selecting the mode according to the site where the device will be used.
Roller mode: Use by extending the grip in a straight line.
Glide the device with the treatment window in contact with the skin to rotate the roller, which
in turn causes flash pulses to be discharged continuously.
The meter indicator lets you know how many more flash pulses can be emitted.
* Each time the level is raised, the interval between each flash pulse will gradually lengthen.
Single mode: Use by bending the grip.
Each time you press the flash button that appears when you bend the grip, a flash pulse will
be discharged.
Since you can choose between FACE mode and BODY mode in the single mode, select the
mode according to the site where you wish to use the device.
* Do not treat the same site continuously at a high level. Make sure to use the device while
moving the treatment window from one site to the next.
Attention
When treating your face, make sure you use FACE mode.
Using BODY mode may cause a burn injury or other problems.

②Level indicator
The selected intensity level will be indicated. The higher the number, the stronger will be the power of the
flash.
In addition, this indicator will let you know when there is an error (See “Error indications” on page 27.)
③READY lamp
White light: When the treatment window is in proper contact with the skin after preparations have been
completed (emission is possible).
Light is off: When the treatment window is not in proper contact with the skin.
④Meter indicator
The meter gradually rises until all lamp bars are lit to notify the user that the device is ready to emit
flashes.
When in roller mode: The number of continuous flash pulses remaining (max. seven) is indicated.
<Single mode only>
⑤BODY mode/FACE mode indicator
The site (body or face) at which the device can be used is indicated.
Press the power/level button to select the treatment site and the intensity level.

When carrying out a treatment, keep the following tips in mind:
●Treatment of the underarm area <recommended: single BODY mode>
・
Carefully remove any antiperspirant, perfume, cream, or other cosmetic product from the underarm
area prior to treatment.
・
If you use a mirror, finding sites to be treated will become easier and render a treatment easier to carry
out.
・
Since the skin is susceptible to sagging, carry out a treatment while stretching out the skin with your
fingers.
・
When skin gets into the dent at the treatment window, you might feel it hot.
●Facial treatment <recommended: single FACE mode>
・
Remove makeup and use the device on clean skin.
* Do not look directly at the flash pulses.
<Treatment for unwanted facial hair>
・
When applying treatments above the lip or chin or on any other site with a narrow scope for
movement or on a site with a sharp angle, carry out a treatment while you stretch out the skin of the
site being treated.
・
After carrying out a treatment, avoid exposure to direct sunlight. Refrain from getting a suntan for the
duration of a treatment.
<Facial skin treatment>
・
Apply treatments two or three times a week with an intensity level which you feel a slight warmth.
・
Moisturize the skin with skin toner after use.
●Bikini line treatment <recommended: single BODY mode>
・
Use the device at a low level on sites where pigmentation is occurring or sites with darker skin color.
* Make sure to start using from level 1 until you are more accustomed
to the treatment.
* The device cannot be used on external genitalia or surrounding
mucous membranes.
●Arm/leg treatment <recommended: roller mode>
・
You are more likely to feel pain or develop redness at
bony or roughly textured sites than elsewhere.
・
Hold the device perpendicular to the skin so that the
treatment window is in full contact with the skin as
shown in the illustration.

Frequently asked questions
Q A
The flash pulses feel hot
and redness or pain is
manifested. Is this normal?
Start using the device from level 1.
Once you have grown comfortable with this level, gradually
raise the level. Perceiving a slight measure of heat from flash
pulses is normal and does not pose any problem.
This problem can be attributed to the presence of long bits of
excess hair or to the treatment of suntanned skin with flash
pulses.
Remove excess hair and use the device on skin that has not
been suntanned.
If redness or pain is manifested, discontinue use immediately
and cool down and moisturize the skin.
If there is no amelioration, discontinue using the device and see
a physician.
How many times a day can
I use the device?
In single mode, the application of flash pulses on the same site
twice or more times per day should be avoided.
Strong heat-generated stimulation may give rise to skin
problems.
In roller mode, usage should be limited to five minutes per day
for each body part.
* 1 body part = (examples) upper arm, forearm, thigh, lower leg,
underarm
Immediately after a flash
pulse is discharged, I can
smell a burning odor. Is
this normal?
The burning odor comes from the heating of excess hair
caused by the flash pulse.
If a burning odor is emitted by the device itself, immediately
discontinue using the device, turn the device off, and
disconnect the AC adapter.
Inquire with your local distributor.
* Four longer buzzer sounds are emitted in quick succession.
Inquire with your local distributor.
