1.1 INSTALLING THE YEPZON ONE
The Yepzon One can be best installed in the main bag of your rig. Your rigger
needs to modify your main bag in order to create a pocket where the Yepzon One
sits. The figures below show an example of a UPT Vector V3 main bag with a
modified Full RDS pocket. Please contact your local rigger for modifying your
main bag.

1.2 RECOMMENED SETTINGS
The following settings are the best compromise between long battery life, lowest
data usage and quickest way of finding your gear
1.2.1 Connection Interval
The Yepzon One is switched on from the moment you charge the battery. The
battery life depends on the set connection interval. In the mobile app of the
Yepzon you can set 2 kinds of intervals:
1. Moving; Interval when the Yepzon is moving. The Yepzon one has a
accelerometer that detects when the unit is moving.
2. Sleeping; After 30 minutes of being still the Yepzon One goes
automatically in Sleeping mode.
The recommended settings for the use in Skydiving is:
Moving; 20 min
Sleeping; 4 hours or longer
Please see the below steps to change the interval settings in the mobile app:
1. Click on the Yepzon of which you want to change the settings
2. Go to Settings

3. Go to Set connection intervals
4. Change the intervals of Moving to 20 minutes and Sleeping to 4 hours

1.2.2 Notification
Other relative settings to change are the notifications:
1. Go to Edit notifications
2. Tick at least the following boxes

1.3 SUBSCRIPTION
The Yepzon One comes with a month free unlimited usage. Valid for the EU,
Norway, Switserland, Iceland, USA, China and Russia. After that month you need
to buy a subscription or a data package. Traveling outside the above countries
require a separate roaming purchase that needs to be bought before entering the
country. Subscription or data packages and roaming can be bought from the
mobile app.
The following tables show the different subscriptions and data package:
Unlimited data
Time

3 months
€14.54
6 months
€24.30
12 moths
€43.81
Limited data

100 MB
€77.09
If you are planning to use the Yepzon One only for skydiving we recommend to
use the data package of 100 MB. The data package is indefinite and with the
standard settings this will last for 20 months. The standard interval settings are:
Awake; 5 min
Sleep; 6 hours
This means with the settings of Awake 20 min and Sleep 4 hours as described in
Chapter 1.2.1 at least 2.5 to 3 years. This is when the device is always on. During
longer periods of not skydiving you can switch the Yepzon One off or change to a
lower interval which means the 100 MB will last even longer.

1.4 LOCATING YOUR GEAR AFTER A CUTAWAY
During a skydive day your Yepzon One is Awake. So
every 20 min it will give an update. The position is
not accurate unless you click on Update Location at
the bottom of the screen in the mobile app.
In the case of a cutaway first change the interval to
a higher rate for both the Awake and Sleep mode.
At least 5 min or higher. The new settings will be
applied at the next connection (probably within 20
min)
Now press the Update Location button to get an
accurate position of your gear. This will be
established in less than 20 minutes or when the new
settings are applied within 5 minutes.
Once the Yepzon One is located you will get a
notification on your phone and you see a location
pin in your screen. After receiving an accurate
location you can turn the interval lower again to
Awake 20 min and Sleep 4 hours.
The blue dot is your current position. Now you can
navigate to your main using the app.
If the free bag of your reserve is not attached to
your main canopy, you can find the free bag in the
line of your main canopy location and your reserve
opening location. This is upwind from the main
canopy location. To determine your reserve opening
location you can look at videos or retrieve the data
from your smart altimeter or FlySight GPS.

1.5 TIPS AND TRICKS
1.5.1 Turning the Yepzon One off and on
If you don’t jump for a long time or your gear is
sitting in your house we recommend to switch off
your Yepzon One. This is saving data. You can switch
off the Yepzon One with the mobile app.
To switch on the Yepzon One you need to connect it
to the charger and it will switch on automatically.

month or at least once every 3 months. A full charge
will take around 2.5 hours.

settings will be applied on the next interval update of
the Yepzon One. When the Yepzon One is connected
to the charger it will apply the changes directly.

It is highly recommended to share your Yepzon One
with at least one other person / phone. This is in case
you lost your phone or forgot your phone and still
want to track your gear.

case you lose your phone and you want to pair your
Yepzon One again.
