PACKAGE CONTENT:
Identify all parts before proceeding with installation.
THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE INSTALLATION:
For best performance, follow these simple guidelines:
*The camera should not be aimed directly at bright light e.g. window without shades during daylight. .
*Avoid installation where there are thick walls or major obstruction between the camera & the LCD
monitor.
* Avoid setting up monitor close to wireless network router or card, or 2.4Ghz phones.
CA520 WIRELESS CAMERA INSTALLATION:
• Unpack the Camera. (This camera is for indoor use only)
• The Pan & Tilt camera can be setup on a flat surface like tabletop

• Connect camera’s power adapter to the power jack on the backside of the camera’s base. Once
powered on, the camera will go through the initial test.
Note: The camera can be adjusted by rotating the camera head to the required position using the
remote.
• USING PRIVACY BUTTON ON THE CAMERA:After camera completes the initial test cycle,
pressing “Privacy” button, will rotate the lens to the lowest position and won’t display picture on
the monitor.
• REPROGRAMMING CAMERA REMOTE:The remote control is preset to work with the camera.
To re-program remote and the camera follow these instructions:

channel (channel 1, 2 or 3) by setting appropriate DIP switch to ON position as shown in the
following figure. DIP switches are located on the bottom of the camera.
IMPORTANT: Camera must have only one DIP switch in the ON position and if using more than one
camera then each camera must be set at a different channel.
• NIGHT VISION: The Camera includes IR LEDs, which allows viewing in the dark. Camera
automatically uses night vision in low light.
CAMERA REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS:

OPTIMIZING THE WIRELESS CAMERA SYSTEM:
The 2.4 GHz signal passes easily through walls, but the signal may be reflected by power wires or
plumbing inside the wall. The most common sources of interference are other 2.4GHz wireless devices
and microwave ovens. Do not setup LCD monitor near other 2.4GHz devices and microwave oven or
other source of RF interference. In case of interference try changing channels on the camera and monitor
and change location of the monitor and if you have a wireless network try changing wireless channel on
the router.
MULTI-CAMERA OPERATION:
The Wireless monitoring System is designed to work with up to three wireless cameras. Additional
cameras are sold separately. All models of wireless cameras offered by Hi-Tech Trading are compatible
with this monitor.
Important: When using more than one camera, make sure each camera is assigned to a specific/different
channel by moving the DIP switch to the right position.
The LCD monitor’s DIP switches located on the Bottom panel of the LCD monitor should be adjusted to
setup the channel.
OPERATING MODES:
The wireless system can be set to operate in Scan (requires camera with motion sensor), Auto or Manual
mode. The desired operating mode can be selected using the buttons on the front panel of the LCD
monitor or the remote for the monitor (Auto or Manual mode can also be set using camera’s remote)

7
SCAN (requires camera(s) with motion sensor)
Pressing the Scan button places the system in Scan mode. The LCD monitor screen turns blank indicating
it’s in standby mode. In standby mode system continuously scans the active cameras. If a camera detects
motion, the LCD monitor displays picture from that camera and also generate a beep (the beep volume is
adjustable from the monitor). If no motion is detected for few minutes the screen will returns to standby
mode and the system resumes scanning. Pressing the Manual or Auto button will cancel this mode.
Note: CA520 does not have motion sensor so pressing SCAN button will turn screen blank and it will
stay blank until Auto or Manual button is pressed
AUTO
Pressing AUTO button places the system in Auto mode. In this mode, the system automatically rotates
through all active cameras. When a camera detects motion, the LCD monitor displays the picture from the
camera for a few seconds, and a makes a beeping sound. To avoid searching channels that do not have
cameras/transmitters assigned to them, set the DIP switches (located on the bottom panel of the LCD
monitor) for those corresponding channels to the OFF position.
CHANGING DWELLTIME:The dwell time (time taken to switch between cameras) is preset to 4 seconds
and can be adjusted between 2 - 30 seconds. To adjust the dwell time, press both the Auto and Manual
buttons simultaneously. Each flash of the LED increases the dwell time by one second.
MANUAL
To select a specific camera on the LCD monitor, press the Manual button. The LCD monitor will switch to
a different camera each time the Manual button is pressed. If camera has motion sensor, then monitor will
beep when motion is detected. To avoid searching channels that do not have cameras assigned to them, set
the dip switches (located on the bottom panel of the LCD monitor) for those corresponding channels to the
OFF position.
ARM/DISARM (requires camera(s) with motion sensor)
This feature is used to turn the sound trigger ON or OFF. By using the Cam1, Cam2 and Cam3 buttons,
you can arm or disarm sound trigger on each camera independently. Green light on Cam1, Cam2 or Cam3
buttons means that camera is armed and will generate sound alert. Press the button to turn off the green
light, which indicates the sound alert is disabled.
