WAN(WideAreaNetwork)isanetworkconnectionconnectingoneormoreLANstogetheroversome
distance.Forexample,themeansofconnectingtwoofficebuildingsseparatedbyseveralkilometers
wouldbereferredtoasaWANconnection.ThesizeofaWANandthenumberofdistinctLANsconnected
toaWANisnotlimitedbyanydefinition.Therefore,theInternetmaybecalledaWAN.
WANSettingsaresettingsthatareusedtoconnecttoyourISP(InternetServiceProvider).TheWAN
settingsareprovidedtoyoubyyourISPandoftentimesreferredtoas"publicsettings".Pleaseselectthe
appropriateoptionforyourspecificISP.
Formostusers,Internetaccessistheprimaryapplication.IPG‐200/IPG‐110supportstheWANinterface
forinternetaccessandremoteaccess.ThefollowingsectionswillexplainmoredetailsofWANPort
