1. Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered, darkareasinviteaccidents.
2. Do not operate the snow thrower in
an explosive atmosphere, such as in
thepresence of flammableliquids,
gases,ordust. Electricalappliances
createsparks that may ignite thedustor
fumes.
3. Keep children, pets, and bystanders
away from the work area.Beaware that
thenormal noise of themachine when
turn onmay make it difficult for you to
hearapproachingpeople. Spectators
should wearsafetyglasses andbe kept
a safe distance away from thework area.
Donot let spectators touchthesnow

4. Electrical plugs must match the
outlet. Never modify the plug in any
way. Do not use any adapter plugs with
grounded appliances.Unmodified plugs
andmatchingoutlets willreduce the
risk ofelectric shock.
5. Avoid body contact with earthed or
grounded surfaces.(i.e. upper andlower
water pipes, radiators,ranges,

refrigerators, mircrowave ovens, and
outerframes of heating equipment).
Take necessary precautions toavoid
electricshock.Thereis anincreased risk
ofelectricshock ifyour bodyisearthed
orgrounded.
6. Do not abuse the cord. Keep the cord
away fromheat,oil,sharpegdes, or
movingparts.Never carrythesnow
throwerby its cord oryank the cord to
disconnectitfromtheelectricaloutlet.
Damaged or entangled cords increase
theriskof electricshock.
7.Replace or properly repair damaged
cords. Ifthecord becomedamaged in
any mannerwhile plugged intothewall
receptacle,immediatelly unplugthe
extensioncords fromthereceptacle.
8.Contact with water while operating
the snow thrower can result in electric
shok and serious bodily injury. Do not
usethesnowthrowerin damp or wet

9. WARNING:Use outdoorextension

10. Turn off the power switch and
disconnectthe power cable before
inspecting, servicing, changing
accessories , or cleaning the snow
thrower.Follow the sameprocedureif
any other dangerous conditions are
present during operation. Any
adjustments tothe unitshouldbe
performed afterrevolving parts inside
thesnowthrower stop completely. Such
preventative safety measuresreduce
theriskofstartingthe power tool
accidentally.
11. If you find the main power cable or
the extension cable damaged, please
pull outthe plug from the socket and
disconnect the power immediately.
Repair thecableor replaceitif
necessary.
12. When replacing any parts,you must
strictly observe the instructionsand
procedures described in this
manual .Specialcare shouldbepaidto
anyrubber parts,since these partsmay
increasetheengine load anddecrease
its mechanical power ifdamaged.
13. Do not move or transport the snow
thrower when the plug is connected to
the power socket and the switch is
turned on.
14. If during use, you noticethat the
unit runs unstably or hear abnormal
sounds from the engine, stop the
machine, disconnect the power
immediately and contact the service
centre.
Electrical Safety
1.Groundfaultcircuitinterrupter(GFCI)
protectionshouldbeprovided on the
circuits oroutlets to be used for the
snow thrower.Receptacles are
availablehavingbuilt-inGFCI
protectionand may beused for this
measureof safety.
2.Topreventelectricshock,useonly
withanextension cord suitable for
outdoor use. Before use,checkthat the
extensioncord is in good condition.
Whenusing an extensioncord,make
sure to useone heavey enoughto
carrythecurrent yourproduct will
draw. Forlengths less than 50ft(15m),
aNo.14AWG (or greater)extension
cord should beused. An undersized

cord willcause a dropin line voltage
resulting in lossof power and
overheating.
3. Electric shock may cause SEVERE
INJURY or DEATH. Heed these
warnings:
-Donot allow anypartof the snow
throwertomake contactwith water
while it isin operation.If the appliance
becomes wet while turned off,wipedry
before starting.
-Useonly UL-,CSA-,orETL-rated
extensioncord for outdoor,all-weather

4.Donotabuse thecord. Neverpull the

Personnal Safety
1. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing
andusecommon sensewhen operating
thesnowthrower. Do not usethe
machine when tired, ill, or underthe
influence of drugs,alcohol, or
medication. A momentofinattension
may resultinserious personalinjury.
2. Wear proper clothing. Wearrubber
bootsoffers additional protection from
electricshock.Donot wearloose
clothingorjewelry thatmay become
caught in the machine.
Wear protective headgearto keep hair
awayfromrevolvingparts of the
machine .Safetyglasses offerbetter
protectionthaneveryday eyeglasses.
3. Moving parts present risks. Keep
your face,hair, clothing,hands,and feet
away frommoving parts.
Allguardsand safety attachments must
beinstalled property beforeusingthe
unit.Shutoff and disconnect the cord
before touching any partsother than
thehandles andthe switch.
4. Surfaces. Thissnowthrower is
intendedfor useon paved surfaces. Do
not useon gravel, stone,or other
unpaved surfaces unless thesnow
throwerisadjusted for such surfaces
accordingto theinstructionsgiven in
this manual.
5. Avoid accident starting. Make sure
theswitchis intheOFF positionbefore
plugging in the unit. Donot carry the
snow thrower with yourfinger onthe
switch.
6. Body positon. Maintainproper
footing andbalance at alltime. Place
heels firmlyonthe groundandtightly
graspthe handle bar.Watch for uneven
surfaces anddonot overreach.Incase
you fall orcollidewith the snow thrower,
inspectthe unitfor any damages or
cracks. Whensteppingbackwards,be
carefulto avoidobstacles beneath your
feet or behind outo avoidfalling.
7. If the snow thrower strikes any
object. Immediately stop the snow
thrower, then inspect for damage.
Repair anydamage before restarting
andoperatingthesnowthrower.

1. Read the user’s mannual carefully.

Learn yoursnowthrower’s applications
andlimitationsaswellas thespecific
potential hazards related to this
machine. Do not use this machine for
any purpose other thanthe onefor
whichitwasdesigned. Otherwise, it
may cause mechanical defects,serious
damage,or personalinjury.
2. Preliminary unit inspection.
Thoroughly inspectthe unitbeforeuse.
Make sure allthe parts are secureand
installed correctly. Ifyou notice any
abnormalities, donot usethemachine
until ithas beenproperlyrepaired.
Alwaysperforma testrunthefirst time
you usethesnowthrower or after
replacingparts toensure thatthe unitis
functioningproperly.
3. Preliminary area inspection. Clear
thearea to beplowedbefore eachuse.
Remove allobjects,such as rocks,
broken glass,nails, wire,orstring,which
canbethrownby or becomeentangled
inthesnowthrower. Keep thearea of
operation clear of all spectators,
particularly children andpets.
4. Excessive force. Thesnowthrower
wasdesigned torespondat acertain
rate for varioussnow conditions for
optimumsafetyand performance. Do
not force it; keep pressure constant.
5. Malfunctionning switch. Donotuse
thesnowthrower if the switchdoes not
turn iton andoff. Any electrical
appliancethat cannot becontrolled by
theswitchis not safe touseand must
berepaired.
6. Hitting an object. Ifthesnow
throweraccidentally strikesan object,
followthese steps:
i)Stopthesnowthrowerandunplug
theunit.
ii)Inspect for damage.
iii)Repairor replace any damaged part
before restartingand operatingthe
snow thrower.
7.Discharge chute safety. Never direct
thesnowdischarge chuteatthe
operator,at bystanders, at vehicles,or
atwindows.Thedischarged snow
streamandforeignobjectsaccidentally
picked up by thesnow throwercan
cause serious damageandpersonal
injury. Do notuse yourhands tounclog
thedischargechute. Stopthemotor
before removing debris.
8. Hand-held operating position.
Operation ofthesnowthrower in the
hand-held positionisunsafe.
9. Abnormal operation. Ifyou notice
thesnowthrowerrunningin an
unstablestateorhearabnormalsounds
from theengine, immediately stopthe
machine,disconnect the power, and
contact theAAVIX service center.
10. Noise control. Whenusingthe
snow thrower. You must respectlocal
lawsand regulationsregardingnoise
control and enviromentalprotection. To
avoidnoise disturbance,you should
carefully decideuponanappropriate
operation time and considerthe
surroundingconditions.
11. When work is completed.
Disconnect thesnowthrower from the
power source when not inuse, when
changingaccessories, andbefore
performingany maintenancefunction.
12. Store safely. Storethe snnow
throwerindoors inadry area between
uses. Keepit ina lockedarea, where
children andunauthorized users cannot

gain access.Donot store themachine
while it isstill connected tothepower
sourceasthismay resultin damage and
injury.
13. Maintain for safety and longevity.
Check for misalignment or bind of
movingparts, breakageof parts, and
any other conditions thatmay affectthe
unit’s operation.If damaged, repair or
replacethedamaged part before use.
Useonlyoriginal replacementparts
designed speciallyfor your model.
Whenreplacing any parts,you must
strictly observe theinstructions and
procedures described inthismanual.
Special careshouldbe paid toany
rubber parts, since theseparts may
increasetheengine load anddecrease

1. Remove thescrew from theupper
lever. Insertthe lower lever into the
upper lever, tighten themwiththe

Chute Deflector Adjustment
1.Loosenthelocking knobandadjust
the chute deflector to a suitable height.
Themachine offers different positions
(0~60°). Re-tighten thelocking knob.
(Fig.9).

Operation
NOTE: Before using this machine,
make sure that the power source you
willusecompiles withthe
specificationsdetailedin this manual.
Beforeinsertingthe plug intothe
socket,verifythatthesnowthrower’s
augerandrubberplates are firmly
secured, andthat therubberplates are
facingthecorrect direction.Perform a
testrun to ensure thatthe rotor turns
freely.
Beforeconnecting the snowthrower
withtheelectricpowersupply,make
sure that themains supplyvoltage is
120V.
Securing the Extension Cord
To prevent theappliancecord from
disconnectingfrom the extension cord
duringoperation,make aknot with
thetwo cords as shown. (Fig.10)

Powering ON/OFF
WARNING! Theaugerstarts

1.Press the safetypush-button.

3.Before using, checkthe supplyand
extensioncords for signsof damaged
duringuse, disconnectthecord for
signs ofdamage or aging.If thecord

Over-current Protector
This unithasan over-current protector.
Intheeventof amajorobstruction
halting theauger, the unit will stop
running. Releasetheswitchbar and
press thereset button. Thenre-start
the machine. (Fig.12)

Maintenance
WARNING: Make sureto turn off
theswitchand disconnectthe
extensioncord beforeperformingany
maintenancetaskon your snow
thrower.
General Maintenance Tips
1. Donot attempt torepairthe
machine unless you have theproper
tools andinstructions for disassembly
andrepair ofthe machine.
2. Checkbolts andscrews atfrequent
intervals for proper tightness to
ensurethat the equipmentisin safe
workingcondition.
3.Aftereachsnowremovalsession,
run the snowthrowerfor a few
minutes topreventthe augerfrom
freezing. Shut off themotor,waitfor
allrevolving partsto stop completely,
andwiperesidualice andsnow offthe
unit.Rotate thechute crank several
times to remove any excesssnow.
4. Only use a cloth soaked with hot
waterand a softbrushtocleanthe
snowthrower, never wet or spray
water onthemachine!
5.Donotuse detergentorsolvents as
thesecould causeirreparable damage
tothe snow thrower. Chemicals can
destroythe plasticparts.
6. Toprotect thesnowthrower from
corrosionwhenstoringforlong
periods, lightly oil themetal parts.
7.Storetheapplicancein a dry area
outof reach of children.
8. Foruser’s safety, worn or damage
partsmustbe replaced. Replace with
originalreplacement partsonly. Parts
from anothersnow thrower may not
fitproperly,causinganunsafe
situation.
Warning: Donot spraytheunit
withwater. Ingress of water may
destroythe switch-plugcombination
unitand theelectric motor. Cleanthe
unitwitha cloth,handbrushetc.
Expertinspection is required, donot
make any adjustmentbyyourself,
must contact to customer service
center:
a) ifthesnowthrowerstrikes an
object.
b)ifthemotorstops suddenly.
c)if the augerisbent (donot align!)
d)ifthemotorshaftis bent(donot
align!)
e)if ashort-circuitoccurswhenthe
cable isconnected.
f) Ifthe gears are damaged.
Replacing the Scraper Bar
1. Removethescrews that securethe
scraper to the snow thrower.(Fig.13)

2. Install the new scraper barand
fasten itsecurely to thesnowthrower
withscrews.

Replacing the Belt
NOTE: Under normaloperating
conditions,itshouldnot be necessary
toreplacetheauger belt.However,
shouldthe augerjamormalfunction,
thebeltcouldbe damaged. To replace
thebelt,followtheinstructions.
NOTE: Determine theleft and right
hand sideofthe snowthrowerby
standingbehindtheunitin thenormal
operating position.
1. Open theleftside plate byremoving
thefivescrews.
2.Pulloutthebeltunderthebelt
tension. Rolltheauger pulley
counterclockwise. Thebeltcanbe
easilyremoved. (Fig.14)

3. Put thebeltonthedrive pulley first
andthen placethe belt atthelower
endof the auger pulley. Use your right
hand topress the beltwith the ribbed
side down.While holdingthe belt
down with your righthand,use your
left hand to turning the augerforward
sothatthe auger pulley rotates in a
counterclockwisedirection.Thebelt
willbe graduallypushed downonto
thepulley. When thebeltis seated on
thepulley, adjust itso thatthe ribs of
thebeltmatch thegrooves onthe
pulley.(Fig.15)

4. Afterbelt isinstalled,replacethe
side plate andsecure it with the
screws.
Replacing the Rubber Plates
NOTE:Whenreplacingworn rubber
plates,pay closeattentionto any
differenttypes of bolts andnuts and
where theyarepositioned. This will
ensurethat new rubber plates are
installed properly andsecurely.
1.Disassemble the auger pulley and
ballbearing seats in both sides. Take
out the auger assembly. (Fig.16)

2. Install the rubber platesand Make
sure thelock-nuts arefirmly secured
tothebolts. (Fig.17)

3. Assemble all parts oppositely well.
Storage
1.Allow the engine tocoolcompletely
before cleanning, storing,or

transportingthe snow thrower. Be
sure to securetheunitwhile
transporting.
2.Disconnect the extension cordfrom
thesnowthrower. Inspectthe
extensioncord closely for signs of
wearor damage.Replace itif itis
worn ordamaged.
3.Inspectthe snow thrower carefully
for worn, loose,ordamaged parts.
Check connectionsand screwsand
tightenifnecessary . Forrepairingor
replacingparts,contactthecustomer
service center.
4.Store the unit,alongwiththe
disconnectedextensioncord ina
locked,dry place outofthereachof
children to preventor unauthorized
useordamage. Cover loosely with a
tarp for added protection.
