Important Safety Instructions
•Read and understand all of the safety instructions.
•Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the unit.
•This product should never be placed near or over a radiator or heater register.
•This product should not be placed in a built-in installation unless there is proper
ventilation.
•This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated in this user
guide. If you are not sure of the type of power supply in your location, consult your dealer
or local power company.
•Never insert object of any kind into the unit through the case slots or openings, since they
may touch dangerous voltage points or shortcut parts, resulting in a risk of fire or electric
shock.
•Never spill liquids of any kind on the product.
•Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer to servicing by qualified service
personnel under the following conditions:
- When the power supply cord or plug is damaged or frayed
- If liquid has been spilled into the unit
- If the unit has been exposed to rain or water
- If the product has been dropped or the case has been
damaged
- If the product shows a noticeable change in performance

The AB550 is a Coin Counter unit that allows the user to count and sort
coins at high speed.
This unit was designed with heavy-duty mechanical components to meet the
requirements demanded by users who want to count high volumes of coins.

4. Control Panel Description
1. "SET" key
Press this key to enter SET mode.
Press this key repeatedly to scroll through the options.
2. ''BAT" key
On SET mode, short press this key and the batch number increases by 10 units
or long press this key and the batch number increases continuously by 10 units.
3. "+" Key
On SET mode, short press this key and the number increases by 1 unit or long
press this key and the number increases continuously by 1 unit. On counting
mode, press this key to pick a counting result that needs to cleared.

4. "-" Key
On SET mode, short press this key and the number decreases by 1 unit or long
press this key and the number decreases continuously by 1 unit.
On counting mode, press this key to pick a counting result that needs to clear.
5. "Clear" Key
Short press this key to remove the selected set value.
Short press this key to remove the individual counting result (clear the
blinking value after pressing the key "+" or "-" to scroll up and down)
Long press this key to remove all the set or counting results.
6. "PRINT" Key
Press this key to print receipt.
7. "START/STOP" Key
Used to start counting or stop counting
8. "REPORT" Key
Use to switch the sorting details displays among 4 pockets of value counted
denominations and the pocket with other mixed coins.

1. Press BAT to select the sorting mode.
2. Press SET to access the batch menu, press SET again to select the
denomination you want to modify.
3. Press and hold CLEAR to clear all the batch values.
4. Pres BAT to increase the batch value by 10 and 20 units.
5. Press + and - to increase and decrease the batch value by 1 unit.
6. Press START/STOP to confirm the batch selection.

Batching example
The unit is set up by default with the maximum quantity of coins for every
denomination per tray and roll (quantities may vary depending on the
currency programmed).

1. Connect the unit to a power outlet and turn the power switch on.
2. If the user prefers to count or sort small batches of coins, he/she should use
the coin drawers to collect coins per denomination.
3. If the user prefers to count or sort large quantities of coins, he/she should
use the coin bags to collect coins per denomination.
4. Deposit all the coins in the Coin Hopper and press “START” to begin the
counting.
5. The coin batches are setup as default for the coin drawers to reach their
maximum capacity.Then, the unit will automatically stop and the user should
empty each drawer to continue counting.
6. Press "PRINT" button to print a detailed report of the last counting.
5.Operational Functions
Coin Sorting
The AB550 can be used for counting and sorting large volumes of coins
with multiple and mixed denominations using two counting modes.

. Jamming
1. Please turn the power switch OFF and make sure that the unit is disconnected
from the power outlet.
2. Proceed to open the service window located on the back of the unit to get
access to the coins plate.
3. Inspect the coin plate and remove the obstruction.
4. Replace the service window to its original position.
5. Connect the unit back to the power outlet and turn the power
switch ON.
6. Confirm that the unit is now working properly.
7. If the issue persists, contact our technical support agent for further assistance.
If any jamming occurs, the machine will stop counting and will move the turning
plate in reverse in order to remove the jammed object by itself.
In case the unit is unable to remove the object itself:
• Counting bent or damaged coins.
• Counting any type of foreign objects such as clips, staples, paper, nylon,
rubber bands etc.
In order to ensure that the unit operates with optimal performance as well as to
prevent jamming, avoid the following:

1. Please turn the power switch OFF when you finish operating the unit.
2. Clean the Hopper coin plate and the coin track (use a brush and an air duster
to do so)
3. If you realize that the unit is not performing as usual or you are experiencing
technical problems, please contact your local dealer for technical support.
