Note: Installation of this light control should be done only by
those with experience in 120 Volt household wiring. Some lo-
cal codes may require that a licensed electrician install the light
control.
This light control automatically turns on lights when motion is
detected.
Two lamp holders are provided. The lamp holders are rated at 150
watts max. each.

3. Testing
Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. Turn the light switch
on.
Note: When first turned on wait about 1 1/2minutes for the circuitry
to calibrate.
Put the TIME switch on the bottom of the sensor in the TEST posi-
tion.You can now walk in front of the unit and the lights will come on
for about 5 seconds. The TEST mode works both day and night.
Walk through the coverage area and point the sensor to obtain the
desired coverage area. Adjust sensitivity as needed. Use Range
Boost only if required.
4. Operation
For motion sensing, put the ON-TIME switch on the bottom of the
sensor in the 1, 5 or 20 minute position. When motion is detected,
the lights will come on the selected time. Note: The photocell keeps
the lights from turning on in daylight.
To keep lights on all night, flip the light switch off for 1 second
then back on. Turning the light switch off for 1 second then back
on will return the control to the motion sensing mode. At dawn, the
control will return to the motion sensing mode and shut off.
ForAccent Lighting, set the DualBrite®switch to the 3, 6, or Dusk
to Dawn setting. The lights will then turn on dim at sundown for the
set time. When motion is sensed the lights will turn on full bright.
1. Installation
Caution: Always turn the circuit breaker off when wiring the
fixture.
1. Remove the existing fixture.
2. The plastic hanger can be used to hold the fixture while wiring.
The small end of the plastic hanger can be threaded through the
hole in the center of the cover plate. The small end then goes into
one of the slots on the mounting strap.
3. Connect the light control as shown in Figure 1:
• Black sensor wire to the black (HOT) house wire.
• White sensor wire to the white (NEUTRAL) house wire.
2. Aiming
The coverage area for the sensor is shown in Figure 2. The sensor
should be aimed so that the motion to be detected is in front of and
across the coverage area. The sensor should be aimed looking out
at a horizontal angle. To reduce false triggering, point the sensor
away from traffic areas, air conditioners, dryer vents, water pools,
or anything which may move or change temperature rapidly.

4. Attach the fixture to the mounting strap with the center mount-
ing bolt. Use a weatherproof sealant to seal the fixture to the
junction box.
5. Install the protective lamp shields on the lamp holders by lining
up the groves on the narrow end of the shields with the dimples
in the lamp holders, push the shields into the lamp holders and
turn clockwise slightly.
6. Install the lamps in the lamp holders. Do not over tighten.
7. Adjustment lamp holders. The lamps should be at least 1 inch
away from the sensor.
CAUTION: Do not mount the sensor above or touching the lamps
(keep 1 inch or more from the lamps). The sensor bottom must
be facing down for best coverage and to avoid water damage
and electrical shock.
Note: For under-eave installation, rotate the sensor head 180° by
bending the sensor towards the clamp bracket. Rotate the sensor
bottom clockwise away from the bracket.

3. Prueba
Prenda la corriente que va al cortacircuitos. Prenda el interruptor.
Nota: Cuando lo prenda por primera vez espere unos 1 1/2 minutos hasta
que el circuito se calibre.
Ponga el interruptor TIME (TIEMPO) en la parte inferior del detector en la
posicióndeTEST (PRUEBA).Ahoracamineenfrentedelaunidadylasluces
se encenderán durante unos 5 segundos. La modalidad de TEST (PRUEBA)
funciona tanto de día como de noche.
Camine por el área de protección y apunte el detector para obtener el área
de protección deseada. Ajuste la sensibilidad como la necesite.
4. Funcionamiento
Para detección del movimiento, ponga el interruptor ON-TIME (DURA-
CIÓN DEL ENCENDIDO) en la parte inferior del detector en la posición
de 1, 5 ó 20 minutos. Cuando el aparto detecte movimiento, las luces se
encenderán y durarán encendidos para el tiempo seleccionado. Nota: la
fotocélula evita que las luces se enciendan durante el día.
Para mantener las luces encendidas toda la noche, apague la luz usando
el interruptor por un segundo; luego vuelva a encender la luz de nuevo. Al
hacer tal proceso otra vez, el control volverá a la modalidad de detección del
movimiento. Al amanecer, el control volverá a la modalidad de detección
del movimiento y se apagará.
Para alumbrado decorativo, programe el interruptor DualBrite®a 3, 6 ó
delAnochecer alAmanecer. Las luces se prenderán con luz baja al atardecer
por el período de tiempo determinado. Cuando detecten movimiento, las
luces se pondrán bien brillantes.
1. Instalación
Cuidado: Apague siempre el cortacircuitos cuando instale el
aparato.
1. Retire el aparato existente.
2. Se puede usar el colgador plástico para sostener el aparato mientras se
instala el cableado. El extremo pequeño del colgador se puede pasar
por el agujero en el centro de la placa cubertora. El extremo pequeño va
luego dentro de las ranuras de la lámina de montaje.
3. Conecte el control de luz como se muestra en la Figura 1:
• El alambre negro del detector con el alambre negro (CALIENTE) de
la casa.
• El alambre blanco del detector con el alambre blanco (NEUTRO) de
la casa.
2. Puntería
El área de protección del detector se muestra en la Figura 2. El detector
debe estar dirigido de tal forma que se deyecte el movimiento al frente o a
través del área protegida. El detector debe estar apuntando hacia afuera y en
ángulo horizontal. Para reducir las alarmas falsas, apunte el detector lejos
de las áreas de tráfico, acondicionadores de aire, ventosas de secadoras,
recipientes de agua, o de cualquier otra cosa que pueda moverse o cambiar
de temperatura rápidamente.

4.Acople el aparato a la correa de montaje con el perno de montaje central.
Use un compuesto obturador a prueba de intemperie para sellar el aparato
en la caja de empalmes.
5. Instale las pantallas protectoras de las lámparas en los portalámparas
alineando las ranuras del extremo estrecho de las pantallas con los
promontorios de los portalámparas. Empuje las pantallas en los porta-
lámparas y g’relas ligeramente.
6. Instale las lámparas en los portalámparas. No los sobreajuste.
7. Arreglo de los portalámparas. Las lámparas deberían estar por lo menos
a 25 mm lejos del detector.
CUIDADO: El detector no debe estar sobre las lámparas ni debe tocarlas
(mantenga 25 mm de distancia, o más, desde las lámparas). La parte de
abajo del detector debe mirar hacia abajo para obtener una mejor
cobertura y evitar un shock eléctrico y daños causado por el agua.
Nota: Para instalarlo debajo de los aleros, gire la cabeza del detector por
180° doblando el detector hacia el soporte del sujetador.

Nota: La instalación de este control de luz debe ser hecha sólo por per-
sonas con experienceia en cableados de casa con 120 voltios. Algunos
códigos locales pueden exigir que la instalación de este control de luz
sea hecha por un electricista certificado.
Este cotrol prende automáticamente las luces cuando detecta movimien-
to.
Se ofrecen dos portalámparas. Cada portalámparas está clasificado para
150 vatios máximo.
