BeforeYou Start
Proper placementof your Gatewayisimportanttoimproveyour network
performance.Thefigure belowisaroughoverviewofthe connection.Especially,
inorder toensurethe bestperformanceof yourwirelessnetwork,keep the
followingtipsinmindtochoosethe location ofyour wireless gateway.
•PlacetheGatewayonaflat, stable
surface.
•Keepthedeviceclearfrommetal
obstructionsand awayfromdirect
sunlight.
•Donot placeobjectsorcomponentson
top oftheGateway.
•KeeptheGatewayawayfrom
transformers,heavy-dutymotors,
fluorescentlights,microwaveovens,
refrigeratorsand other industrialequipmentstopreventsignalloss.
•Locatethe Gatewayinacentralareaaspossibletoprovidebetter coverage
forallwirelessclients.
•Locatethe Gatewayashigh aspossible, wireless devicesworkbest ina
line-of-sightsituation.
•Metallic-based UVwindowtintcanaffect wireless performance.Donot
placetheGatewaynext toatintedwindow.
•Makesure theantennaispointing up atalltimes.

Configuring yourrouter
A:Through ADDON Quick Installation Wizard
1.youcan findtheADDONQuick InstallationWizardonthe installationCD
2.installthe ADDONQuickInstallationWizard anddoubleclicktheADDON
icononyou desktop
3.Enter theUSERNAMEandPASSWORD givenbyyourISP (you canalso
enter theencryption keyin10digitsformat).
4.Press Saveand Exit’tosavethechangeand exittheprogram.You should
beabletosurfthe internetafterthe ADSLrouter restarted.
B:Through WebBrowser
1LaunchaWebbrowser. If you are usingaproxy server,disableit
temporarilysothat youcan openthe configurationpage.Type 192.168.1.1
inthelocationoraddresslineofyourWebbrowser toaccessthe
Configuration Utility.
Enterthe
USERNAME
and PASSWORD given
byyourISP

Admin (casesensitive)andpasswordis Admin (casesensitive).
3Thisfirstscreenthat appearsisHomescreen.ThebasiclayoutoftheHome
page consistsofapageselectionlistacrossthetopof thebrowserwindow.
Thefooter displaysgatewaystatus,connectioninformation, and other
usefulinformation.
Openyour webbrowser and type theaddress
192.168.1.1 intotheURLaddressfieldand then press
Enter or Return key.Theloginscreen willappear.
Typein
Admin
(casesensitive)foruser
nameand Admin (casesensitive) for
password and thenpress Log in button.
TosetupyourGateway
withabasicconfiguration,
select Setup. Andthen
click on Connection1.
