The INTREPID120 Antenna System
The ‘INTREPID’ class of antenna systems are renowned for their compact size,
light weight and powerful performance having been designed to excel in today’s
ever demanding satellite communications industry.
The user friendly modular design allows for simple, fast and accurate satellite
acquisition either as a manually controlled mount or as a fully auto-acquisition
motorised mount.
The clever design of the tri-pod mount also means that other 3rd party
antennas can be fitted allowing existing equipment to be cost effectively
upgraded.
The main reflector is manufactured from high quality carbon fibre and is
supplied in six easily assembled petals that employ a revolutionary spherical
dowel locking mechanism.
The revolutionary design of the complete fly-away system allows for the
INTREPID class antenna to be transported in easily manageable carry cases
weighing less than 32kg that can be checked onto any commercial aircraft
making the INTREPID class antenna a totally flexible fly-away system.

The Tripod is transported in its custom built transit case. The components are
secured in place by the lid of the case and are supported as shown.

Remove the Antenna stays & lift out the antenna bag containing the carbon
antenna.

Remove the tripod base from the packing case.

Invert and Place Tri-pod base securely. Splay the Tri-pod legs and force the
centre lock into the stow position.
Remove the tripod extension legs and locate into tripod head. Tighten and lock
leg cams.

Stand tripod on legs and level using adjustable levelling feet and bubble level
mounted on the tripod base.
Remove the elevation head from the packing case.

Assemble elevation head onto the rear locations on the tripod base
and lock with Vee-Lock handle by pushing in an upward motion.

2.2 Antenna Assembly
Remove antenna base petal, antenna carry case and stays.
Locate and lock antenna base petal onto tripod head.
