Before you begin installing your card, please make sure that
the following items have been shipped:
Cradle for MARS-3100 x1
VESA Mount screw x4
VESA Mount copper stub x4
If any of these items are missing or damaged, please con-
tact your distributor or sales representative immediately.
Note: The adapter is not contained in this packing list.
please use the adapter with the MARS-3100 unit.

Note: The VGA output signal will switch from system
side to cradle side automatically when MARS-
3100 is docking on the cradle.
Start to Use
Before you start to use this cradle, please remove the
power adapter on MARS-3100 unit.
Caution: The cradle and MARS-3100 unit may damage if
the power adapters are both plug in MARS-3100
unit and cradle.

Plug the power adapter with 19Vdc to the cradle DC-in
jack.
Note: The cradle will supply power to the MARS-3100
unit and the 3x USB port on the cradle.
Note: The battery will also be charged if the MARS-
3100 unit is put on the cradle.

Note: The 19Vdc power adapter is not contained in this
packing list. Please use the adapter which use
on MARS-3100 unit.
Close the DC-in jack door on the MARS-3100 unit.

Note: If the door is not close well, the mechanical
interference will happen.

Lift the hook before insert the MARS-3100 unit.

Installing VESA Mounting
The MARS-3100-CRADLE also provides standard VESA
mounting to help system integrators conveniently integrate
into their systems.
To prevent the unstable mounting of MARS-3100-CRADLE,
never use mounting brackets other than those provided by
Advantech. VESA mount installation should be done by a
professional technician; please contact the service techni-
cian or your retail vendor if you need this service.

Warning! Be sure to secure the screws of the mounting
bracket tightly. A loose joint between the MARS-
3100-CRADLE and the mounting bracket could
cause risk of injury!
Push back the hook and the hook will be locked until
you hear “CLICK”.

Caution: The hook may loosen if it is not locked. And it
may damage the MARS-3100 unit.
Release the hook. Press the button on the back of the
hook and lift up the hook. Then you can release the
MARS-3100 unit.
