1. VEILIGHEIDSINFORMATIE
Lees zorgvuldig de meegeleverde instructies voor in-
stallatie en gebruik van het apparaat. De fabrikant is
niet verantwoordelijk voor letsel en schade veroorzaakt
door een foutieve installatie. Bewaar de instructies van
het apparaat voor toekomstig gebruik.
1.1 Veiligheid van kinderen en kwetsbare mensen
WAARSCHUWING!
Gevaar voor verstikking, letsel of permanente inva-
liditeit.
• Dit apparaat kan worden gebruikt door kinderen van
8 jaar en ouder en door mensen met beperkte licha-
melijke, zintuiglijke of verstandelijke vermogens of
een gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, indien zij onder
toezicht staan van een volwassene of van iemand die
verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid.
• Laat kinderen niet met het apparaat spelen.
• Houd alle verpakkingsmaterialen uit de buurt van kin-
deren.
• Houd kinderen en huisdieren uit de buurt van het ap-
paraat als het in werking is of afkoelt. Het apparaat is
heet.
• Als het apparaat is uitgerust met een kinderbeveili-
ging, raden wij aan dit te activeren.
• Reiniging en onderhoud mag niet worden uitgevoerd
door kinderen zonder toezicht.
1.2 Algemene veiligheid
• Het apparaat en de toegankelijke onderdelen ervan
worden heet tijdens gebruik. De verwarmingselemen-
ten niet aanraken.
• Bedien het apparaat niet met een externe timer of
een apart afstandbedieningssysteem.

• Zonder toezicht koken op een kookplaat met vet of
olie kan gevaarlijk zijn en brandgevaar opleveren.
• Probeer brand nooit met water te blussen, maar scha-
kel in plaats daarvan het apparaat uit en bedek de
vlam, d.w.z. met een deksel of blusdeken.
• Bewaar geen voorwerpen op de kookplaten.
• Gebruik geen stoomreiniger om het apparaat schoon
te maken.
• Metalen voorwerpen, zoals messen, vorken, lepels en
deksels mogen niet op de kookplaat worden ge-
plaatst, aangezien ze heet kunnen worden.
2. VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
2.1 Installatie
WAARSCHUWING!
Alleen een erkende installatie-
technicus mag het apparaat in-
stalleren.
• Verwijder alle verpakkingsmaterialen.
• Installeer en gebruik geen beschadigd
apparaat.
• Volg de installatie-instructies op die
zijn meegeleverd met het apparaat.
• Houd de minimumafstand naar andere
apparaten en units in acht.
• Wees voorzichtig met het verplaatsen
van het apparaat, het is zwaar. Draag
altijd veiligheidshandschoenen.
• Dicht de oppervlakken af met kit om
te voorkomen dat ze gaan opzetten
door vocht.
• Bescherm de bodem van het apparaat
tegen stoom en vocht.
• Installeer het apparaat niet naast een
deur of onder een raam. Dit voorkomt
dat hete pennen van het apparaat val-
len als de deur of het raam wordt geo-
pend.
• Als het apparaat geïnstalleerd is bo-
ven lades zorg er dan voor dat de
ruimte tussen de onderkant van het
apparaat en de bovenste lade vol-
doende is voor luchtcirculatie.
• De onderkant van het apparaat kan
heet worden. Wij raden aan om een
onbrandbaar scheidingspaneel te
plaatsen onder het apparaat om te
voorkomen dat de onderkant kan wor-
den aangeraakt.

WAARSCHUWING!
Gevaar voor brand en elektrische
schokken.
• Alle elektrische aansluitingen moeten
door een gediplomeerd elektromon-
teur worden gemaakt.
• Dit apparaat moet worden aangeslo-
ten op een geaard stopcontact.
• Verzeker u ervan dat de stekker uit het
stopcontact is getrokken, voordat u
welke werkzaamheden dan ook uit-
voert.
• Gebruik de juiste stroomkabel.
• Voorkom dat de stroomkabels verstrikt
raken.
• Zorg ervoor dat de stroomkabel of
stekker (indien van toepassing) het he-
te apparaat of heet kookgerei niet

aanraakt als u het apparaat op de na-
bijgelegen contactdozen aansluit
• Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat correct
is geïnstalleerd. Losse en onjuiste
stroomkabels of stekkers (indien van
toepassing) kunnen ervoor zorgen dat
de contactklem te heet wordt.
• Zorg ervoor dat er een schokbescher-
ming wordt geïnstalleerd.
• Zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet wordt
belast door trekken.
• Zorg dat u de hoofdstekker (indien
van toepassing) of kabel niet bescha-
digt. Neem contact op met de service-
afdeling of een elektromonteur om
een beschadigde hoofdkabel te ver-
vangen.
• De elektrische installatie moet een iso-
latieapparaat bevatten waardoor het
apparaat volledig van het lichtnet af-
gesloten kan worden. Het isolatieap-
paraat moet een contactopening heb-
ben met een minimale breedte van 3
mm.
• Gebruik alleen de juiste isolatie-appa-
raten: stroomonderbrekers, zekerin-
gen (schroefzekeringen moeten uit de
houder worden verwijderd), aardlek-
schakelaars en contactgevers.
2.2 Gebruik van het apparaat
WAARSCHUWING!
Gevaar op letsel, brandwonden
of elektrische schokken
• Gebruik dit apparaat in een huishou-
delijke omgeving.
• De specificatie van het apparaat mag
niet worden veranderd.
• Laat het apparaat tijdens het gebruik
niet onbeheerd achter.
• Bedien het apparaat niet met natte
handen of als het contact maakt met
water.
• Leg geen bestek of deksels van steel-
pannen op de kookzones. Ze zijn heet.
• Zet de kookzone op "uit" na elk ge-
bruik.
• Het apparaat mag niet worden ge-
bruikt als werkblad of aanrecht.
WAARSCHUWING!
Brand- of explosiegevaar.
• Verhitte vetten en olie kunnen ont-
vlambare damp afgeven. Houd vlam-
men of verwarmde voorwerpen uit de
buurt van vet en olie als u er mee
kookt.
• De dampen die hete olie afgeeft kun-
nen spontane ontbranding veroorza-
ken.
• Gebruikte olie die voedselresten be-
vat kan brand veroorzaken bij een la-
gere temperatuur dan olie die voor de
eerste keer wordt gebruikt.
• Plaats geen ontvlambare producten of
items die vochtig zijn door ontvlamba-
re producten in, bij of op het appa-
raat.
WAARSCHUWING!
Risico op schade aan het appa-
raat.
• Zet geen hete pannen op het bedie-
ningspaneel.
• Laat kookgerei niet droogkoken.
• Activeer de kookzones niet met leeg
of zonder kookgerei erop.
• Geen aluminiumfolie op het apparaat
leggen.
• Laat geen zure vloeistoffen, zoals bijv.
azijn, citroensap of reinigingsmiddelen
voor het verwijderen van kalkaanslag,
in aanraking komen met de kookplaat.
Hierdoor kunnen doffe plekken ont-
staan.
2.3 Onderhoud en reiniging
WAARSCHUWING!
Risico op schade aan het appa-
raat.
• Reinig het apparaat regelmatig om te
voorkomen dat het materiaal van het
oppervlak achteruitgaat.
• Gebruik geen waterstralen of stoom
om het apparaat te reinigen.
• Maak het apparaat schoon met een
vochtige, zachte doek. Gebruik alleen
neutrale schoonmaakmiddelen. Ge-
bruik geen schuurmiddelen, schuur-
sponsjes, oplosmiddelen of metalen
voorwerpen.

2.4 Verwijdering
WAARSCHUWING!
Gevaar voor letsel of verstikking.
• Neem contact met uw plaatselijke
overheid voor informatie m.b.t. correc-
te afvalverwerking van het apparaat.
• Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Snijd het netsnoer van het apparaat af
en gooi dit weg.

WAARSCHUWING!
Raadpleeg de hoofdstukken Vei-
ligheid.
Om de temperatuur in te schakelen en
de instelling te verhogen de knop links-
om draaien. Draai de knop naar rechts
om de kookstand te verlagen. Draai de
knop naar 0 om het apparaat uit te scha-
kelen.
Het controlelampje gaat branden als
een of beide kookzones wordt ingescha-
keld, en blijft branden tot de kookzones
worden uitgeschakeld.
4.1 Voor het eerste gebruik
Plaats op alle kookzones een pan die
met een beetje water is gevuld. Stel de
hoogste stand in en laat het apparaat
ongeveer 10 minuten werken totdat het
water in de pan kookt. Laat hierna het
apparaat 20 minuten werken in de laag-
ste stand. Gedurende deze periode kun-
nen geurtjes en rook worden afgegeven.
Dit is normaal. Zorg dat er voldoende
luchtcirculatie is.
Nadien reinigt u het apparaat met een
zachte doek die in warm water is ge-
drenkt.

WAARSCHUWING!

5.1 Pannen
• De bodem van de pan moet zo
dik en vlak mogelijk zijn.
5.2 Energie besparen
• Doe indien mogelijk altijd een
deksel op de pan.
• Zet de pan op de vaste kook-
plaat voordat u deze inscha-
kelt.
• Schakel voor het einde van de
bereidingstijd de vaste kook-
plaat uit, om gebruik te maken
van de restwarmte.
• Voor goede resultaten moet
de bodem van de pannen de-
zelfde afmeting hebben als de
vaste kookplaat (of iets groter
zijn). Gebruik geen kleinere
pannen.

6. ONDERHOUD EN REINIGING
WAARSCHUWING!
Raadpleeg de hoofdstukken Vei-
ligheid.
Reinig het apparaat na elk gebruik.
Gebruik altijd kookgerei met een schone
bodem.
WAARSCHUWING!
Trek voordat u de kookplaat gaat
schoonmaken altijd eerst de
stekker uit het stopcontact en
laat de kookplaat afkoelen
De kookplaat kan het beste wor-
den schoongemaakt als hij nog
warm is; etensresten kunnen ge-
makkelijker verwijderd worden
als ze nog warm zijn
WAARSCHUWING!
Scherpe voorwerpen en schuren-
de reinigingsmiddelen beschadi-
gen het apparaat.
Het reinigen van het apparaat
met een stoomstraal- of hoge-
drukreiniger is om veiligheidsre-
denen verboden.
Krassen of donkere vlekken heb-
ben geen invloed op de werking
van het apparaat.
Verwijderen van vuil:
1. Gebruik het fijn schuurmiddel of een
schuurspons om het vuil te verwijde-
ren.
2. Reinig het apparaat met een vochti-
ge doek en een beetje afwasmiddel.
3. Verwarm de kookplaat op een lage
temperatuur en laat deze opdrogen.

4. Om de kookplaten te onderhouden,
wrijf de kookzones met een beetje
olijfolie op een keukenpapiertje in
om roest te voorkomen
Gebruik een schoonmaakmiddel
voor roestvrij staal om de roest-
vrij stalen randen schoon te ma-
ken.
De roestvrijstalen rand van de
plaat kan iets verkleuren als ge-
volg van thermische belasting.
Het roestvrij staal kan beschadigen als
het te heet wordt. Daarom moet u ook
niet koken met grillstenen, aardewerk
potten of pannen van gietijzer.
7. PROBLEEMOPLOSSING
Probleem Mogelijke oorzaak en oplossing
Het apparaat werkt niet. • Controleer de zekering van de stroomvoorziening
in de stoppenkast van het huis. Neem contact op
met een bevoegde elektricien als de zekering
steeds doorbrandt.
De plaat wordt niet
warm. • Zorg ervoor dat u het apparaat aansluit en scha- kel de elektrische voeding in.
• Zorg ervoor dat u de bedieningsknop goed
draait.
• Controleer de zekering van de stroomvoorziening
in de stoppenkast van het huis. Neem contact op
met een bevoegde elektricien als de zekering
steeds doorbrandt.
Resultaten van de plaat
zijn niet bevredigend. • Zorg ervoor dat de plaat schoon en droog is.
• Zorg ervoor dat de pan de juiste maat heeft voor
de kookplaat.
• Zorg ervoor dat de pan een vlakke bodem heeft.
• Zorg ervoor dat de instelling correct is voor de
soort bereiding.
Als er een storing optreedt, probeer dan
eerst zelf een oplossing voor het pro-
bleem te vinden. Als u niet zelf het pro-
bleem kunt verhelpen, neem dan con-
tact op met uw verkoper of de serviceaf-
deling.
Als u het apparaat verkeerd heeft
gebruikt, of als de installatie niet
is uitgevoerd door een erkende
monteur, dan is het bezoek van
de klantenservicemonteur of van
uw leverancier mogelijk niet gra-
tis, zelfs niet in de garantieperio-
de.

en goed te kunnen helpen. Deze ge-

8. MONTAGE

Raadpleeg de hoofdstukken Vei-
ligheid.
8.1 Montage
WAARSCHUWING!
Neem de instructies zorgvuldig
door en volg ze op. Risico op let-
sel of beschadiging van het ap-
paraat.
• Zorg dat er geen transportschade aan
het apparaat is. Sluit geen beschadigd
apparaat aan. Indien nodig, neem
contact op met de leverancier.
• Installeer inbouwapparaten alleen na-
dat u het apparaat in de conrrecte in-
bouweenheden en werkoppervlakten
hebt gemonteerd. Zorg dat de inbou-
weenheden en oppervlakten voldoen
aan de normen.
• Houd u aan alle wetten, voorschriften,
richtlijnen en normen die van kracht
zijn in het land waar het apparaat
wordt gebruikt (veiligheidsvoorschrif-
ten, recyclingvoorschriften, veilig-
heidsvoorschriften met betrekking tot
elektrische installaties, enz.)
WAARSCHUWING!
Risico op letsel door elektrische
stroom.
• De netaansluiting staat onder stroom.
• Schakel de stroomtoevoer naar de
netaansluiting uit.
• Als de bevestigingssteun zich in de
buurt van het aansluitblok bevindt,
controleer dan altijd of de aansluitka-
bel niet in aanraking komt met de
rand van de bevestigingssteun.
8.2 Aansluiting op het
elektriciteitsnet
• Aard het apparaat volgens de veilig-
heidsmaatregelen.
• Zorg ervoor dat het nominale voltage
en het type vermogen op het typepla-
tje overeenkomen met het voltage en
het vermogen van de stroomvoorzie-
ning in uw woning.

• Dit apparaat wordt geleverd met een
netsnoer. Dit moet zijn voorzien van
een geschikte stekker, die geschikt is
voor de belasting die vermeld is op
het identificatieplaatje. De stekker
moet in een geschikt stopcontact wor-
den gestoken.
• Alle elektrische onderdelen moeten
worden geïnstalleerd of worden ver-
vangen door een technicus van de ser-
vice-afdeling of door gekwalificeerd
onderhoudspersoneel.
• Gebruik altijd een correct geïnstal-
leerd, schokbestendig stopcontact.
• Zorg ervoor dat het netsnoer na instal-
latie bereikbaar is.
• Trek niet aan het netsnoer om het ap-
paraat los te koppelen. Trek altijd aan
de stekker.
• Het apparaat moet niet worden aan-
gesloten op een verlengsnoer, een
adapter of een meervoudige aanslui-
ting (brandgevaar). Controleer of de
aarding conform de normen en regel-
geving is.
• De stroomkabel moet zo worden ge-
plaatst dat er geen contact wordt ge-
maakt met een heet oppervlak.
• Sluit het apparaat op de netvoeding
aan met behulp van een voorziening
waarmee het apparaat kan worden
losgekoppeld van de alle polen van
de netvoeding, met een contactope-
ning van minimaal 3 mm breed, b.v.
een automatische beschermende
stroomonderbreker, aardlekschake-
laars of een zekering.
• Geen enkel deel van de aansluitkabel
mag een temperatuur van 90°C berei-
ken. De blauwe neutrale draad moet
worden aangesloten op de eindklem
gemarkeerd met "N". De bruine (of
zwarte) fasedraad (gemonteerd in het
contact van de eindklem gemarkeerd
met "L") moet altijd worden aangeslo-
ten op de fase van het voedingsnet.
8.3 Vervanging van het
aansluitsnoer
Gebruik om de aansluitkabel te vervan-
gen alleen het type H05V2V2-F T90 of
een gelijksoortig type. Zorg ervoor dat
de doorsnede van het snoer geschikt is
voor het voltage en de bedrijfstempera-
tuur. De geel/groene aardedraad moet
ongeveer 2 cm langer zijn dan de bruine
(of zwarte) fasedraad.

Voordat u het apparaat installeert in de
uitsparingsruimte, dient u het afdicht-
ingsrubber op de rand van de uitsparing
te plaatsen. Het afdichtingsrubber wordt
bij het apparaat geleverd. Het voorkomt
dat lekkage in de onderliggende ruimte
druppelt.
1. Breng het afdichtingsrubber rond de
hele rand van de opening aan.
2. Plaats het apparaat in de ruimte en
zet vast met de klemmen. De klem-
men worden geleverd in de acces-
soirestas (zie het overzicht). De rand
van de bovenkant van het apparaat
raakt het afdichtingsrubber. Verwij-
der het restant van het afdichtings-
rubber.

8.5 Mogelijkheden voor
inbouw
Keukenmeubel met deur
Het paneel geïnstalleerd onder de kook-
plaat moet eenvoudig te verwijderen zijn
en eenvoudig toegang bieden indien
technische hulp nodig is.

Keukenmeubel met oven
De afmetingen van de uitsparing voor
de kookplaat moeten overeenkomen
met de voorgeschreven inbouwmaten
en het keukenmeubel moet voorzien zijn
van ventilatiegaten om een continue
luchttoevoer te kunnen garanderen. Om
veiligheidsredenen en om een gemakke-
lijke verwijdering van de oven uit het
meubel mogelijk te maken, moeten de
elektrische aansluitingen van de kook-
plaat en de oven afzonderlijk geïnstal-
leerd worden.

een geschikte verzamelcontainer om
het te recyclen.
Help om het milieu en de
volksgezondheid te beschermen en
recycle het afval van elektrische en

1. SAFETY INFORMATION
Before the installation and use of the appliance, careful-
ly read the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is
not responsible if an incorrect installation and use cau-
ses injuries and damages. Always keep the instructions
with the appliance for future reference.
1.1 Children and vulnerable people safety
WARNING!
Risk of suffocation, injury or permanent disability.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they are supervised by an adult or a
person who is responsible for their safety.
• Do not let children play with the appliance.
• Keep all packaging away from children.
• Keep children and pets away from the appliance
when it operates or when it cools down. Accessible
parts are hot.
• If the appliance has a child safety device, we recom-
mend that you activate it.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
1.2 General Safety
• The appliance and its accessible parts become hot
during use. Do not touch the heating elements.
• Do not operate the appliance by means of an exter-
nal timer or separate remote-control system.
• Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be
dangerous and may result in fire.

• Never try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off
the appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a
fire blanket.
• Do not store items on the cooking surfaces.
• Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance.
• Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids
should not be placed on the hob surface since they
can get hot.
2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 Installation
WARNING!
Only a qualified person must in-
stall this appliance.
• Remove all the packaging.
• Do not install or use a damaged appli-
ance.
• Obey the installation instruction sup-
plied with the appliance.
• Keep the minimum distance from the
other appliances and units.
• Always be careful when you move the
appliance because it is heavy. Always
wear safety gloves.
• Seal the cut surfaces with a sealant to
prevent moisture to cause swelling.
• Protect the bottom of the appliance
from steam and moisture.
• Do not install the appliance adjacent
to a door or under a window. This pre-
vents hot cookware to fall from the ap-
pliance when the door or the window
is opened.
• If the appliance is installed above
drawers make sure that the space, be-
tween the bottom of the appliance
and the upper drawer, is sufficient for
air circulation.
• The bottom of the appliance can get
hot. We recommend to install a non-
combustile separation panel under the
appliance to prevent access to the
bottom.
Electrical connection
WARNING!
Risk of fire and electrical shock.
• All electrical connections must be
made by a qualified electrician.
• The appliance must be earthed.
• Before carrying out any operation
make sure that the appliance is dis-
connected from the power supply.
• Use the correct electricity mains cable.
• Do not let the electricity mains cable
tangle.
• Make sure the mains cable or plug (if
applicable) does not touch the hot ap-
pliance or hot cookware, when you
connect the appliance to the near
sockets
• Make sure the appliance is installed
correctly. Loose and incorrect electrici-
ty mains cable or plug (if applicable)
can make the terminal become too
hot.
• Make sure that a shock protection is
installed.
• Use the strain relief clamp on cable.
• Make sure not to cause damage to the
mains plug (if applicable) or to the
mains cable. Contact the Service or an
electrician to change a damaged
mains cable.
• The electrical installation must have an
isolation device which lets you discon-
nect the appliance from the mains at
all poles. The isolation device must

have a contact opening width of mini-
mum 3 mm.
• Use only correct isolation devices: line
protecting cut-outs, fuses (screw type
fuses removed from the holder), earth
leakage trips and contactors.
2.2 Use
WARNING!
Risk of injury, burns or electric
shock.
• Use this appliance in a household en-
vironment.
• Do not change the specification of this
appliance.
• Do not let the appliance stay unatten-
ded during operation.
• Do not operate the appliance with wet
hands or when it has contact with wa-
ter.
• Do not put cutlery or saucepan lids on
the cooking zones. They become hot.
• Set the cooking zone to “off” after
use.
• Do not use the appliance as a work or
as a storage surface.
WARNING!
Risk of fire or explosion.
• Fats and oil when heated can release
flammable vapours. Keep flames or
heated objects away from fats and oils
when you cook with them.
• The vapours that very hot oil releases
can cause spontaneous combustion.
• Used oil, that can contain food rem-
nants, can cause fire at a lower tem-
perature than oil used for the first
time.
• Do not put flammable products or
items that are wet with flammable
products in, near or on the appliance.
WARNING!
Risk of damage to the appliance.
• Do not keep hot cookware on the con-
trol panel.
• Do not let cookware to boil dry.
• Do not activate the cooking zones
with empty cookware or without cook-
ware.
• Do not put aluminium foil on the ap-
pliance.
• Do not let acid liquids, for example
vinegar, lemon juice or limescale re-
mover touch the hob. This can cause
matt patches.
2.3 Care and Cleaning
WARNING!
Risk of damage to the appliance.
• Clean regularly the appliance to pre-
vent the deterioration of the surface
material.
• Do not use water spray and steam to
clean the appliance.
• Clean the appliance with a moist soft
cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do
not use abrasive products, abrasive
cleaning pads, solvents or metal ob-
jects.
2.4 Disposal
WARNING!
Risk of injury or suffocation.
• Contact your municipal authority for
information on how to discard the ap-
pliance correctly.
• Disconnect the appliance from the
mains supply.
• Cut off the mains cable and discard it.

To switch on and increase the heat set-
ting turn the knob counterclockwise. To
decrease the heat setting turn the knob
clockwise. To switch off turn the knob to
the 0.
Power indicator is activated when either
of the zones are turned on, and will stay
on until the cooking zones are switched
off.
4.1 Before first use
Put on all cooking zones a pan filled with
some water. Set the maximum position
and operate the appliance for approxi-
mately 10 minutes until water inside the
pans boils. After that, operate the appli-
ance at minimum position for 20 mi-
nutes. During this period, an odour and
smoke can occur. This is normal. Make
sure that the airflow is sufficient.
After this operation, clean the appliance
with a soft cloth soaked in warm water.

5.1 Cookware
• The bottom of the cookware
must be as thick and flat as
possible.

5.2 Energy saving
• If possible, always put the lids
on the cookware.
• Put cookware on a solid hot-
plate before you start it.
• Stop the solid hotplate before
the end of the cooking time to
use residual heat.
• For satisfactory results, the
bottom of pans must have the
same dimensions (or slightly
larger) as solid hotplates. Do
not use smaller pans.

6. CARE AND CLEANING

Clean the appliance after each use.
Always use cookware with clean bottom.
WARNING!
Before any maintenance or
cleaning can be carried out, you
must disconnect the hob from
the electricity supply.
The hob is best cleaned while it
is still warm, as spillage can be
removed more easily than if it is
left to cool.
WARNING!
Sharp objects and abrasive
cleaning agents will damage the
appliance.
For your safety, do not clean the
appliance with steam blasters or
high-pressure cleaners.
Scratches or dark stains have no
effect on how the appliance op-
erates.
Removing the dirt:
1. Use the fine scouring powder or a
scouring pad to remove the dirt.
2. Clean the appliance with a damp
cloth and some detergent.
3. Heat the hotplate to a low tempera-
ture and leave to dry.
4. To maintain the hotplates, wipe the
plates with a drop of olive oil on a
kitchen towel to prevent rust.
For stainless steel edges of the
hob use cleaner for stainless
steel.
The stainless steel edge of the
plate can be slightly discoloured
as a result of the thermal load.
The stainless steel can become tarnished
if it is too much heated. Refer to this you
must not cook with potstones, earthen-
ware pans or cast iron plates.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

operate. • Examine the fuse in the electrical system of the house in the fuse box. If the fuses blow time after
time, speak to an authorised electrician.
The plate does not heat
up. • Make sure that you plug in the appliance and switch the electrical supply.
• Make sure that you turn correct control knob.
• Examine the fuse in the electrical system of the

Results of plate are not
satisfactory. • Make sure that plate is clean and dry.
• Make sure that the cooking pan is the correct size
for the plate.
• Make sure that cooking pan has a flat bottom.
• Make sure that the setting is correct for type of
cooking.
If there is a fault, first try to find a solu-
tion to the problem yourself. If you can-
not find a solution to the problem your-
self, speak your dealer or the local Serv-
ice Force Centre.
If you operated the appliance in-
correctly, or the installation was
not carried out by a registered
engineer, the visit from the cus-
tomer service technician or deal-
er may not take place free of
charge, even during the warranty
period.

8.1 Installation
WARNING!
Read and follow the instructions
carefully. There is a risk of injury
or damage to the appliance.
• Make sure that there is no damage to
the appliance from the transportation.
Do not connect a damaged appliance.
Speak to the supplier if necessary.
• Install built-in appliances only after
you assemble the appliance into cor-
rect built-in units and work surfaces.
Make sure that built-in units and surfa-
ces obey the standards.
• Obey all orders and standards in force
in the country where you use the ap-
pliance (safety standards, recycling
standards, electrical safety standards
etc.)
WARNING!
Risk of injury from electrical cur-
rent.
• The electrical mains terminal is live.
• Make electrical mains terminal free of
voltage.
• If the fixing bracket is near to the ter-
minal block, do not let the connection
cable come in contact with the edge
of the bracket.
8.2 Electrical connection
• Ground the appliance according to
safety precautions.
• Make sure that the rated voltage and
type of power on the rating plate
agree with the voltage and the power
of the local power supply.
• This appliance is supplied with a mains
cable. It has to be supplied with a cor-
rect plug, able to support the load
marked on the rating plate. The plug
has to be fitted in a correct socket.
• Any electrical component must be in-
stalled or replaced by the Service
Force Centre technician or qualified
service personnel.
• Always use a correctly installed shock-
proof socket.
