RELATIVE HUMIDITY & HUMIDITY LEVEL
TECHNICAL DATA
Relative humidity is the amount of water vapor that is present in the air. It is shown as a
percentage of the water vapor in the air in relation to the total amount of water vapor that the
air can contain at a specic temperature. Air always contains water vapor, but the percentage
of water vapor in the air can vary. The higher the temperature, the more water vapor can be
held in the air. When cold air is heated to a comfortable temperature in the winter, the relative
humidity will drop. In order to keep a comfortable environment at home, water vapor must be
added into the air. For a comfortable and healthy environment, we recommend maintaining a
40% - 50% relative humidity level. The humidier will control the humidity level in your home
based on your desired settings.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

9
CAUTION: Avoid the risk of electric shock and possible damage to the humidier.
• ALWAYS unplug the humidier before removing the water reservoir. Do not touch the
water in the base during operation.
• Clean the water reservoir and base regularly with water only – never use detergents.
• Remove the water from the water reservoir, clean all components of the humidier and
thoroughly dry the humidier before storing for a prolonged period of time.
• In the instance that you have hard water, meaning that the water is rich with calcium and
magnesium, a white powder problem can develop within the humidier. This can lead to
heavy scaling on the surface of the water basin, transducer and the inner surface of the
water reservoir. Scale on the surface of the transducer will prevent your humidier from
working properly. To maintain proper functions, we recommend the following:
• Discontinue use of your tap water.
• Use distilled water.
• Clean the transducer, water reservoir and the basin unit regularly.
• Replace the water in the water reservoir regularly to ensure freshness.
Cleaning:
• Never submerge the main body of the humidier in water.
• Clean and activate the ceramic balls every 30-45 days depending upon use.
• Remove the ceramic ball lter from the water reservoir cover.
• Soak the ceramic ball lter in white vinegar for 10 minutes.
• Remove the ceramic ball lter from the white vinegar and thoroughly rinse with cool,
clean water before operating the humidier.
Cleaning the transducer:
• Put 5-10 drops of white vinegar on the surface of the transducer; wait 2-5 minutes.
• Gently remove any mineral scale from the surface of the transducer with a soft, damp
cloth to wipe it clean.
Cleaning the basin unit:
• Rinse the water basin with clean water and use a soft, damp cloth to remove build up.
In the event of scaling, pour a small amount of white vinegar and warm water into the
basin and let it soak for 5 minutes. Then use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the basin clean
and rinse it with clean water.
