Safety instructions
Warning! When using electric tools,always
follow basic safety precautions to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and personal
injury.Including the following read all
instructions and save them for future use.Be
sure everyone operating this tool reads and
understands these instructions.
Know your power tool. Read this manual
carefully to learn your power tool's
applications and limitations as well as
potential hazards particular to his tool.
Keep work area clean and well lit.
Cluttered,dark work areas invite
accidents.
Keep children away. All visitors should
be kept at a safe distance from the
work area to avoid distracting the
operator and contacting the tool or
extension cord.
Avoid dangerous environments. Do not
expose power tools to rain or use them
in wet or damp locations. Do not use
tools in the presence of flammable
liquids or gases.
Outdoor use extension cords. When tool
is used outdoors,use only extension
cords intended for use outdoors and so
marked.
Use safety glasses. Use a face or dust
mask if operation is dusty.
Dress properly.Do not wear loose
clothing or jewelry, and contain long hair
since these may be caught in moving
parts.Wear rubber gloves and insulated
non-skid footwear when working
outdoors.
Secure work. Use clamps or vise to hold
work securely and free both hands to
operate tool.
Guard against electric shock. Prevent
body contact with grounded surfaces
such as pipes ,radiators,ranges and
refrigerator enclosures. Always check
the work area for live wires, and hold
your tool by insulated surfaces.
Keep hands away from all moving parts.
Do not force tool. It will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it was
intended.
Use right tool. Do not force a small tool
or attachment to do the job of a heavy-
duty tool. Do not use tool for a purpose
for which it was not designed, such as
using a circular saw for cutting tree
limbs or logs.
Do not abuse cord. Never carry tool by
its cord or disconnect by yanking the

cord from the receptacle. Keep the
cord from heat, oil and sharp objects.
Maintain tools carefully.For best
performance,keep tools clean.Follow
instructions for lubricating and
changing accessories.Keep tool handles
clean, dry and free of oil grease.
Periodically inspect switches,tool cord
and extension cord.Check moving parts
for alignment and binding as well as for
breakage,improper mounting and any
other conditions that may effect its
operation.Have an authorized service
center replace or repair any damaged
parts.
Do not over reach. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times.
Avoid accidental starting. Be sure the
tool is turned off before plugging it in.Do
not carry a connected tool with finger
on the switch.
Check damaged parts.Before using the
tool, damaged parts should be carefully
checked to be sure it will operate
properly and perform its intended
function. Have an authorized service
center repair or replace any damaged
parts.
Unplug tool. When it is not in use and
before changing accessories or
performing maintenance be sure that
the tool is disconnected.
Stay alert.Watch what you are
doing,and use common sense.Do not
operate a tool when you are
tired, distracted or under the influence of
drugs or alcohol.
Store idle tools. When not in use, store
tools in a dry and high or locked area-
out of reach of children.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES
Wear ear Protectors.
Check the socket carefully for wear,
cracks or damage before installation.
Hold the tool firmly.
Always be sure you have a firm footing.
Be sure no one is below when using the
tool in high locations.
The proper fastening torque may differ
depending upon the kind or size of the
bolt. Check the torque with a torque
wrench.
When driving into walls, floors or
wherever " live" electrical wires may be
encountered, DO NOT TOUCH ANY MET
AL PARTS OF THE TOOL. Hold the tool
only by the insulated grasping surfaces
to prevent electric shock if you drive
into a " live " wire.
IMPORTANT:
Never attempt to use an incorrect sized
socket. This will result in stripping the head
of the bolt or nut and incorrect fastening
torque.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Check the outlet voltage to be
sure it matches the voltage listed on the
nameplate.Using tool at voltages more than
10% greater is potentially dangerous and
constitutes misuse.This includes using
voltage boosters.

●CHANGING SOCKETS:
CAUTION: Always make sure both the
switch is off and the tool is unplugged
before changing sockets or accessories.
Only use sockets designed for use with
impact wrenches. Make sure that the
socket is fully engaged onto the anvil.
CAUTION: Never use hand-tool type
sockets. These are not designed for the
impact loads this machine creates and
could shatter, causing a hazardous
situation.
This machine is designed to use either lock-
pin type sockets or hog-ring type sockets.
To install lock pin type sockets:
First pull the rubber ring out of the groove to
expose the pin and remove it. Place the
socket on the anvil and then put the pin in
the hole to lock. Then replace the rubber
ring in the groove to hold the pin in place.
To install hog ring type sockets:
Firmly push the socket all the way onto the
anvil (it will be a tight fit).
●TRIGGER SWITCH:
This is a variable speed tool. Increasing the
pressure on the trigger will increase the
speed. To stop, release trigger.
●REVERSING SWITCH
For clockwise rotation switch to FWD
position. For counterclockwise rotation
switch to REV position. Before operation
,always double check reversing switch
position.
WARNING:
Always wait for the tool to come to a full
stop before changing direction of rotation.
●TIGHTENING TORQUE:
Different diameters lengths,and classes of
fastener all have differing torque
requirements.
Tightening to the proper torque is essential
to avoid either damage to fastener or
undue looseness. Therefore make a habit of
always testing your work with a torque
wrench. Torque increases proportionately
with trigger pressure and fastening time.
Always try to keep these factors consistent
for a given workpiece. Take great care not
to over-torque bolts threaded into
aluminum. Always tighten to final torque by
hand with a torque wrench on critical
items.(such as engine cylinder head nuts).
NOTE:Tightening torque is affected by the
following factors:
Trigger switch
Clockwise
Counterclockwise
Reversible switch

5
Different types of materials have different
torque requirements
Oil on the threads will yield most accurate
torque
Use of an extension socket will lessen
torque
Lower voltage will lessen torque
Worn or oversize sockets will lessen torque
LOOSENING:
If a bolt will not loosen after a reasonable
time, check to make sure there isn't a cotter
pin, locking pin, or other device locking the
bolt or nut. Also ensure that the bolt isn't left-
hand thread! It's a good practice to apply
penetrating oil to rusted fastener before
attempting to loosen.
●MAINTENANCE:
Every 50 hours of operation blow compressed air
through the motor while running at no load to clean
out accumulated dust. (If operating in especially
dusty conditions, perform this operation more
often.)
It's best to entrust any maintenance or
inspection to an authorized service agent.
CAUTION : Ensure the power cord is
unplugged before performing any
maintenance or inspection.
●CARBON BRUSHES:
The motor uses carbon brushes that wear
with normal use. The motor will not operate
properly if the brushes become too worn.
Replace the brushes when they are worn
to 1/4 of their original length.
●CARBON BRUSH REPLACEMENT:
Always replace both brushes at the same
time . First, remove relevant screws and
separate two cover halves.Remove brush
holder and remove old brush. Install new
brush in brush holder. Replace brush holder
and refit cover halves together. Refit screws
and tighten evenly.
IMPORTANT:Never allow oil or grease to
contact the brushes.
●LUBRICATION
This tool is lubricated at the factory. It should
be regreased after about 30 hours of
operation. Entrust lubrication to a qualified
service representative.
Other repairs and service should be
performed by a qualified service
representative.
