1. INTRODUCTION
We thank you for purchasing automatic regulation. Instructions will help you to get to know
and operate AG-tronik. Read the manual thoroughly before use, because properly adjusted
AG-tronik achieves set value of liter per hectare much more precisely.
2. AG-tronik DESCRIPTION
AG-tronik is processor controlled device for monitoring and automatic balancing of spray on
machines for chemical protection of plants. It is used on combination with pressure regulator
PR-9EC. Take a few moments to familiarize yourself with buttons, displays and some
component parts of AG-tronik.

AG-tronik receives information, required for calculation of actual liter per hectare from:
flow sensor, which is built in regulator PR 9EC and
speed sensor, which is fitted on the front tractor wheel for carried sprayers or
sprayer wheel for driven sprayers.
Flow sensor is a component part of regulator PR 9EC and is connected to electric connection
cabinet on the flow regulator.
Speed sensor can be connected in two manners:
for driven sprayers on connector of cable harness of the regulator PR-9 EC,
for carried sprayers, in the housing of AG-tronik (4-pole connector, fig. 2).
AG-tronik is supplied through three-pole connector (figure 3) on tractor electrical circuit
with 12 V voltage.
AG-tronik regulates work pressure through regulation valve on the regulator, depending on
flow capacity. It ensures that flow capacity equals desired flow capacity (hectare
consumption).

4. AG-tronik CONNECTION
If you are not skilled in such work, we recommend that the electronic regulation is installed
by an authorized service of Agromehanika. If you have decided to install it yourself, a brief
installation description is given further on.
Speed sensor must be installed first. If you have purchased a driven tractor sprayer, the
sensor is already installed on the chassis of the sprayer and you do not have to perform this
installation. Speed sensor cable is connected with AG-tronik via connector.
If you have purchase our carried tractor sprayer, speed sensor must be mounted on the
tractor chassis. Speed sensor is no-contact metal sensor. It is mounted on the chassis next to
the front wheel, so the speed sensor can detect wheel bolts. Bolts, which connect the wheel
with the rim, are the most appropriate. Be careful that the length of the bolts remains the
same and that bolts do not hit the sensor, otherwise it can be damaged and destroyed. Sensor
is mounted on the front wheel, but when this is not possible, it is mounted on the rear wheel.
Sprayer comes with universal sensor holder, in which you install the sensor. Turn the holder
so that it is protected from mud. You must adjust the holder to your tractor. Distance of the
sensor from the bolt must be set between 4-5 mm. Check functioning of the signal with a light,
which is built into the sensor. When the sensor is connected to AG-tronik, this lights up, when
metal is close to the sensor. Speed sensor cable must be routed along the chassis of the
tractor to the cab, where it is connected to AG-tronik. Be careful not to expose the cable to
mechanic damages.
Figure 7, Control light turns on, when the sensor is less than 5 mm from metal.
Now you must mount the AG-tronik to an appropriate place in the cab. The most appropriate
place is usually to the right by the window on the mudguard or the frame of tractor cab. AG-
tronik includes a screwed-on holder on its housing, which is attached to the housing with
supplied screws. Holder can be mounted on the upper or the lower channel on the AG-tronik
housing or you can turn it vertically.
Now the sprayer must be connected to the tractor. When this one is connected, connect
regulator cable with Ag-tronik. Connector allows only one position.
If you own a carried tractor sprayer, speed sensor must be connected to AG-tronik. Plug the
speed sensor cable plug in 4-pole outlet and secure the cable from detaching with the nut. If
you own a driven sprayer, the sensor is already connected to AG-tronik in the electric
connection cabinet of regulator PR-9EC.

Signal for speed measurement can be taken from the tractor to the extent that the tractor has
speed measuring and appropriate output via a connector. 7-pin plug connection cable code:
018.60.530, in this case connect it to a connector which is mounted in tractor, 4-pin plug,
however, connect with the AG-tronik.
The cable has a built-in connector of a circuit plate, which properly converts the speed
signals from the tractor. A constant speed is in this case 1024 imp/km, and you can enter it in
the Ag-TRONIC.

Now the supply cable must be connected to the 12 V tractor electric circuit. Press the key
and if the cables are connected properly, the display of AG-tronik turns on.

5. DESCRIPTION OF THE DISPLAY
When you press the key the display turns on. At first, for a few seconds, there is sign
AG-tronik M1 on display and below is current version and date of software.

displayed. This is the largest display, because it is the most important one.

6. AG-tronik KEYS DESCRIPTION
Keys for turning on, AUTO, MAIN and sections have a LED next to the key, which lights up
or blinks, when the key is on. LEDs are red, except the key for turning on, which has a green
LED. LED for various sections are in two colours (red and green).
Key ON/OFF –when pressing this key, AG-tronik turns on.
Hold the key for at least 3 seconds to turn it off.
Key AUTOMATIC –selection key for automatic or manual
control. LED lights, when automatic control is set. When
the LED blinks, automatic control is set, but the main valve
is shut down due to improper spraying conditions.
MAIN VALVE ON/OFF button; this button opens and
closes junction –sectional valves simultaneously.
INDIVIDUAL SECTION ON/OFF button with two-colour
LEDs; use buttons to open and close individual sections (in
case there are 4 sections, left/right side in case there are
only two selected sections. Section is on, when a RED LED
is on above the button. If the green LED is on, the switch is
on, but not all spraying conditions are met (GPS device
does not "allow spraying", chapter 12 GPS), or speed is
lower than minimum set speed (chapter 9.9 Minimum
speed).
Key PRESSURE INCREASE (manual control) –the key is
intended for increasing pressure in the regulation valve. It
is active only in manual control (LED next to AUTO key is
turned off), and the central valve MAIN must be turned on.
Key PRESSURE DECREASE (manual control) –the key is
intended for decreasing pressure in the regulation valve. It
is active only in manual control (LED next to AUTO key is
turned off), and the central valve MAIN must be turned on.
Key PROGRAM –this key is used for entry in and exit from
programming module, or analysis and exit program
(opposite function of the OK button).
Key FUNCTION –this key returns AG-tronik to its factory
settings.
Keys CURSORS –keys are intended for navigation on the
display and for setting individual values. Central key OK is
a confirmation key, with which set value is confirmed or is
used to exit the menu of quick setting.

7. OPERATION DESCRIPTION –MANUAL CONTROL
Spraying in manual control is done with settings, which are input manually. This enables to
increase or decrease pressure during work and therefore change liter per hectare. Spraying is
therefore done without a computer or without automatic regulation. With key
open the main valve and individual sections, and keys
are used to set work pressure. Pressure regulation with keys is possible only when the
main central valve is turned on .
If correct constants for speed sensor, flow sensor and working width are input in AG-tronik,
then we can monitor all main parameters of spraying on the display, such as:
liter per hectare
spraying speed
working width
treated area
hectare efficiency
travelled distance
current flow
Manual control can be implemented, when AG-tronik is turned on, key is turned on
(red LED in the upper right corner of the key is turned on), and key is turned off
(LED in the upper right corner of key AUTO is not turned on or does not blink).

8. OPERATION DESCRIPTION –AUTOMATIC CONTROL
In automatic control, set hectare dosage is controlled by AG-tronik. Of course, all of the
following conditions must be met:
correct choice of spraying parameters, such as correct choice of spraying speed,
correct choice of nozzles...
correct input of constants of flow and speed sensors
correct input of working width
Ensure the following when spraying:
correct choice of agent
correct calculation of concentration
appropriateness of spraying according to weather conditions
If the conditions above are met, then spraying with AG-tronik is very simple. The operator
must only keep driving in a steady manner, the speed being in accordance with nozzle
functioning capability (TR, ITR, ID, IDK 2-20 bar) and consideration of the minimum speed
(settings AG-tronik).
Press button to turn on Ag-tronik. Individual sections are turned on by pressing
button . In automatic control, key is turned on (in
upper right corner lights LED). Keys for manual setting of pressure DO NOT function
in automatic control.
Spraying or preparation for spraying is done in the following manner:
8.1. Preparation for spraying
First we check if correct parameters are input in the program.
Fill the sprayer partially with water and test flow sensor functioning (when all nozzles
are open –diversion valves on the regulator, check the current flow on the display OF
AG-tronik). Sum of flow of all working nozzles must be equal to displayed flow on AG-
tronik.
Fill the tank with water to the top.
Go to the field or treatment location.
Check functioning of speed measuring during drive.
Fill the tank with chemical agent and turn on mixing. During preparation of
chemicals, all manual valves for mixing and central valve are open. If the central

valve is closed, mixing through mixing nozzle does not occur (unless the mixing is
done through the mixing pump). Ensure appropriate pressure of 2-10 bar.
If required, reset daily counters (ha, km, l).
8.2. Spraying
Before taking off, check minimum speed (chapter 9.9) and adjust it, if required. Turn on
section valves and move to starting point of spraying. Check
that automatic protocol is on and begin spraying.
When driving off, engage the central valve and AG-tronik ensures that you
achieve the set liter per hectare in the least time possible. If the minimum speed is adjusted
properly (see chapter 9.9 General settings; minimum spraying speed), AG-tronik ensures
automatic opening and closing of the main valve on the regulator. At the end of the line, when
you reduce driving speed under minimum set speed, it automatically closes central (MAIN)
valve and reopens it when spraying speed exceeds minimum set speed.
Buttons for distribution valves are independent of MAIN valve and can be opened or closed,
when the MAIN valve button is off. Valves open in connection with MAIN valve and open and
close in relation to position of MAIN valve button.
8.3. After spraying
After spraying, make sure that all vital parts of the regulator are adequately washed with
clean water as soon as possible! The instructions for use of the sprayer have described a
process for the cleaning and partial purification device. To clean it, it only takes a few
minutes and at the same time reduces the likelihood of blockage in the vital parts of the
regulator.

To enter program "PROGRAMMING", use quick menus. Menus are located in top right part
of display. Red frame marks icon of individual chapter.

Access required icon by moving left and up with button or , right and down with
button or . Use confirmation button to select correct chapter. Let's go
through individual chapters:
9.1. Hectare consumption
Select icon and use confirmation button to confirm it. The display shows:

Top left corner of display show icon of chapter, which you are currently in.
Press confirmation button again to display an auxiliary window, asking us, if we want
to change value.

If you do not want to change the value of hectare consumption, press button to return
to previous window.
If you want to change the value, press button to select confirmation and confirm it
with button .

New window opens with flashing value before l/ha. Use setting button or to set
new value and confirm it with button . New set value is displayed.
Exit the program by pressing to return to basic menu.
9.2. Filling of tank
With the window “FILLING OF TANK” you basically set the content of chemical, which you
have prepared in the tank. By setting the value you are basically setting the quantity of
chemical on the liter scale of AG-tronik. In program “FLOW ANALYSIS”, AG-tronik then
counts down the used chemical during spraying and shows current quantity of remaining
chemical in the tank.

To enter window "TANK FILLING", select icon and confirm it with confirmation
button . The display shows:

In the line “VOLUME OF CHEMICAL IN TANK” AG-tronik offers the last set value and in
case that you prepared the same quantity, press key and value in the frame starts to
blink. By pressing the key again, you confirm quantity, counter “currently”
simultaneously sets “current” quantity of chemical to set value.
If you have prepared a greater or smaller quantity, press key and the value in the
frame starts to blink.

With setting key or set new value and “transfer” it to window “currently” by
pressing the key .
If the values are not confirmed or set before the start of spraying, AG-tronik litre scale does
not function (Ag-tronik is not instructed that the tank was filled).

9.3. Deleting daily counters of spray consumption (l), surface area (ha) and
path (km)
To delete daily counters, select icon and confirm it with confirmation button .
The display shows:

If you want to erase an individual counter, use button or to move selection window
to value, which you want to delete. Press button to set value under selected frame to 0.
Note: only "daily consumption" counters can be delete.

To set GPS device type, select icon and confirm it with confirmation button .
