1 Channel Video Server (ADC-VS121) - Installation Guide
Required items for installation:
• Video Server and power adapter (included)
• Broadband (Cable, DSL, or Fiber Optic) Internet connection with router
• Personal computer or web-enabled tablet
• Login/Password for the customer’s Alarm.com account
• Analog CCTV camera with power supply (not included)
• RG-59 or RG-6 coaxial cable with BNC connectors
• Ethernet cable
Install the video devices:
1. Use the coaxial cable to connect the analog camera to the BNC connector on the video server.
2. Use a standard Ethernet cable to connect the video server to the network router.
3. Connect the video server’s AC adapter and plug it into a non-switched outlet.
4. From an internet-enabled device on the same network as the camera, add the video device to the account using
either MobileTech or by entering the following web address: www.alarm.com/addcamera to access the Customer
Website.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to add and set up the video device. For more information about adding video
devices to an account, see Enroll the video device to the customer account.

LED guide
LED pattern Status Description
Connected to internet Local network and internet
connection with Alarm.com IP.
Local network connection
Local network connection with local
IP address, no internet.
Note: If the LED does not go to a
solid green after a few minutes,
see Camera LED is blinking green.
Power on, or no network
connection
Power on, system booting up
typically 60-90 seconds.
If solid red for longer than 60-90
seconds, then there is no local or
Internet connection.
Firmware update Device firmware update is in
progress.
Factory reset
The video device is restoring to
factory default settings.
Caution: If the video device is
already installed, it may need to be
removed from the Alarm.com
account and re-added after a factory
reset.
To perform a factory reset, use a thin
tool (e.g. paper clip) to hold the reset
button for about 10-15 seconds.
