l1. Read Instructions All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the
product is operated.
l2. Retain Instructions The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future
reference.
l3. Heed Warnings All warnings on the product and in the operating instructions should be
adhered to.
l4. Follow Instructions All operating and use instructions should be followed.
l5. Cleaning Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid
cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
l6. Attachments Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as
they may cause hazards.

l7. Water and Moisture Do not use this product near water-for example, near a bath tub, wash
bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool, and the like.
l8. Accessories Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The
product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product.
Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommended by the manufacturer, or sold
with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer's instructions, and
should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer.
l9. Carts and Stands The product should be used only with a cart or stand that is recommended by
the manufacturer.
l9A. A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force, and
uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn.
l10. Ventilation Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure
reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating, and these openings must
not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a
bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in
installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the
manufacturer's instructions have been adhered to.
l11. Power Sources This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated
on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your
product dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power, or
other sources, refer to the operating instructions.
l12. Grounding or Polarization This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating-current
line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet
only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try
reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your
obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. (ONLY FOR US-TYPE)
Alternate Warnings This product is equipped with a three-wire grounding-type plug, a plug having a
third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into a grounding-type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If
you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug. (ONLY FOR USA TYPE, NOT FOR EUROPE)
l13. Power-Cord Protection Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be
walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords
at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product.
l14. Protective Attachment Plug The product is equipped with an attachment plug having
overload protection. This is a safety feature. See Instruction Manual for replacement or
resetting of protective device. If replacement of the plug is required, be sure the service
technician has used a replacement plug specified by the manufacturer that has the same
overload protection as the original plug. (ONLY FOR USA MODELS)
l15. Outdoor Antenna Grounding If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the
product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection
against voltage surges and built up static charges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with regard to proper grounding of the mast and
supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of
grounding conductors, location of antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes,
and requirements for the grounding electrode. See drawing on next page.
l16. Lightning For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left
unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect
the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and
power-line surges.
l17. Power Lines An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead
power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or
circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from
touching such power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal.
l18. Overloading Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience
receptacles as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
l19. Object and Liquid Entry Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as
they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric
shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

l20. Servicing Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing covers may
expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service
personnel.
l21. Damage Requiring Service Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to
qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
a) When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged,
b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the product,
c) If the product has been exposed to rain or water,
d) If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust only
those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adjustment of
other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified
technician to restore the product to its normal operation,
e) If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way, and
f ) When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance this indicates a need for
service.
l22. Replacement Parts When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has
used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the
original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.
l23. Safety Check Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the service
technician to perform safety checks to determine that the product is in proper operating
condition.
l24. Wall or Ceiling Mounting The product should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as
recommended by the manufacturer.
l25. Heat The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers,
stoves, or other products (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

Precautions
On Safety
lDo not use wet hands to pull out the plug. It may cause electrical shock.
lIf the player does not work, please pull out the plug for safety. Contact us for further technical
support.
lBefore moving the player, please make sure the power adapter is disconnected from the wall
outlet.
lDo not move the player when playing. It may cause a fire or electrical shock.
lShould any solid object or liquid fall into the cabinet, unplug the player and have it checked by
qualified personnel before operating it any further.
lIf you are not going to use the player for a long while, be sure to disconnect the player from the
wall outlet. To disconnect the power adapter, grasp the plug itself; never pull the cord.
On Placement
lPlease keep a sufficient distance between the player and a radio set. A sufficient distance is also
needed between the player and any other devices with electromagnetic field.
lPlease place the player in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent heat build-up in the
player.
lDo not place the player on a soft surface such as a rug that might block the ventilation holes on
the bottom.
lDo not place the player in a location near heat sources, or in places subject to direct sunlight,
excessive dust, or mechanical shock.
lDo not place the player in a location exposed to cool air. Condensation may occur and cause the
player work incorrectly.
On Operation
lThe player may not work because of improper operation. The limited warranty does not cover
consequent losses that rise from improper usage.
lTurn off the player when you are watching regular TV program. It may cause a picture distortion.
lThe player will not work correctly when affected by exterior elements such as static electricity. In
such cases, pull out the power adapter and plug it back to the outlet again.

General Operating Instructions

Remote Control Battery Installation
Before attempting to operate your remote
control, install the battery as described below.
(1) Turn the remote control face down.
(2) Press down on the ridged area of the battery
cover and slide it off.
(3) Slide another battery in.

!Make sure the lithium battery pack is
properly attached to the unit and fully
charged when use.
(1) Matching the battery pack into the
back of the Handheld DTV.
(2) Press the battery pack downward
until the battery pack locks onto the
Handheld DTV.
!Detach the battery pack from the unit if
you will be storing the unit for an
extended period of time.
!Ensure the unit is turned off before
detaching the battery pack.
!Detaching the battery pack from the
unit as below steps.
(1)Press the battery locker on the back of
the unit.
(2)Push out the battery pack upward until
the battery pack unlock onto the unit.

IMPORTANT
WARNING
The Handheld DTV will turn off automatically when the battery is
getting low . In this time, according the correct method to
recharge your battery pack.
!Charge your battery pack for a minimum of 4 hours to get fully
charged.
!When the battery pack is being charged, the LED will glow red.
!After successfully charging the battery pack, the LED will glow
green.
!Please un-pack the battery when the battery is not working.
!The average lifetime of the lithium rechargeable battery is
about 300 recharging cycles. After this many recharges,
please consider replacing the battery.
!Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, or short external
connectors contact.
!Use only with specified charger and players.
!Do not expose to high temperature above 50℃(122℉)
!Stove between 20℃(4℉) and 35℃(95℉)

Charging the lithium battery
Use Handheld TV and charge Battery simultaneously
Use Handheld TV alone or without charging
(1)Connect the large power adaptor into AC power outlet and
the small plug of the DC cable into the charging plug on the side
of the battery pack.
(2)Charging time will be about 4 hours, but may increase
if TV set is operated at the same time together with charging.
(1) Connect DC cable from power adaptor now into the DC IN 9 V
socket on the side of the TV set and not into the battery case
socket.
(2) Turn power switch of the unit to ON, to use handheld TV
(3) Even if battery pack should be attached to the TV set,
no charging will take place.

Preparing the battery pack for use (Alkaline battery)
!The handheld TV with a battery pack
allows play back without any AC
power adapter.
!Make sure the alkaline battery pack is
properly attached to the unit and has
sufficiant capacity.
(1)According to the diagram, insert the
batteries correctly according to the plus
and minus markings.
(2)Please use only high quality alkaline
type batteries (6 pcs AA size)
in the battery pack.
(3)Matching the battery pack downward
until the battery pack locks onto the
handheld TV.
(4)Press the battery pack downward until
the battery pack locks onto the

!Detach the battery pack from the unit if
you will be storing the unit for an
extended period of time.
!Ensure the unit is turned off before
detaching the battery pack.

(3)Take out alkaline battery from the
battery pack.

WARNING
!The Handheld TV will turn off automatically when the battery
is getting low . Empty alkaline batteries should be replaced, while
discharged NiMH battery cells may be recharged externally.
!Please un-pack and check batteries if they should not work.
!Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, or short external
connectors contact.
!Do not expose to high temperature.
!Please don't use the different battery types mixed together
in one set, as well do not mix old and new batteries.

MENU
There are two pages of the menu, including program and system.
You can use [VOL-] button to select each page. In the program
page of the menu, you can highlight the service type, program list,
preview, audio channel, subtitle language, program info,
automatic search, or manual search to perform TV program
related operation. And in the system page of the menu, you can
highlight the brightness, TV system, regional setting, OSD
language, time zone to adjust the system setting. You can use
[CH+] button and [CH-] button to highlight the item and press
[VOL+] button and [VOL-] button to select your choice and then
press [OK] button to set the setting.
