of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric
shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe place for future
reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. If
applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance.

an electrical appliance, including the following:
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Make sure that your outlet voltage and circuit frequency correspond to the voltage
stated on the Rating Plate of the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
CAUTION: Keep this coffee maker out of reach of children.
• Take care when handling the appliance. Always unplug it when unattended and
before assembling, disassembling, changing accessories, cleaning or storage.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or benchtop. Do not let it touch hot
surfaces or become knotted. Protect it from sharp edges.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of electrocution, never operate this product with wet hands,

• Do not use this coffee maker outdoors. It is intended for indoor household use only.

Usage conditions and restrictions
• This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It is not suitable for commercial
use. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose and only
use it as described in this manual.
• Improper installation or inappropriate use may result in re, electric shock, personal
injury and/or damage to the unit. We assume no responsibility for any eventual
damages caused by improper or faulty use.
• Always place the appliance on a level, stable and heat resistant work surface, away
from water splashes.
• Do not place or use this appliance on a hotplate or near a naked ame (gas cooker).
• The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may result in re, electric shock or injury.
• Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during the brewing cycles. Be careful not
to get burned by the steam.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• Do not touch HOT surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To disconnect, turn any control to "off”, then remove the plug from wall outlet.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electric shock, this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a
qualied electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

Appliances with glass containers
• The container is designed for use with this appliance. It must never be used on a
range top.
• Do not set a hot container on a wet or cold surface because the glass will break.
• Do not use a cracked container or a container having a loose or weakened handle.
• Do not clean the container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
material.
• A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an
extension cord is used:
• The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as
the electrical rating of the appliance.
• The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top
or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Getting started
Before rst use
• Remove all packaging materials from the appliance and dispose of them responsibly.
Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so
ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Inspect the cord and plug for damage or wear before each use. Do not use the
appliance if any part has been damaged or is not working properly.
• Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Add water
into the water tank to the max level and brew water without coffee powder, empty
the water out and repeat several times, then discard the water. Clean all detachable
parts thoroughly with warm water.
Clean the coffee maker before the rst use
To enjoy your rst cup of coffee, follow these simple steps to clean the coffee maker:
1. Wash the lter and the funnel as well as the glass carafe in a mixture of mild
detergent and water - rinse each thoroughly.
2. Replace all the parts and close the lid. Fill the water tank with drinking water to its
maximum and run a brew cycle (Do not exceed the MAX level marked inside the
tank). Please do not add coffee or a coffee lter.
3. When brewing is complete, turn your coffee maker off, discard the water in the glass
carafe and rinse all parts. Your coffee maker is now ready to use.
Setting the clock
Plug the power cord into the outlet. The LED will display “12:00” and the colon will ash.
To set the clock:
1. Hold down the Hour/Min button to adjust the time.
NOTE: By holding the Hour/Min button down it will quickly skip though the hours.
2. Wait 15 seconds to conrm the clock setting.
NOTE: The clock serves you as a handy kitchen clock and allows you to set the 24hour
delay timer (see page 9 for instructions).

Using your coffee maker
1. Open the top lid and ll the water tank with fresh drinking water. The water level
should not exceed the MAX level marked inside the tank.
NOTE: The coffee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some water
is absorbed by coffee grounds.
2. Place the funnel into the funnel support and make sure it is assembled correctly.
Then insert the coffee lter in to the unit.
3. Add coffee powder into the lter, usually a cup of coffee needs a level spoon of
coffee powder. This can be adjusted according to your personal taste.
Close the top lid.
4. Place the glass carafe on the warming plate.
5. Press the On/Auto/Off button once to start the brewing process.
NOTE: The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the On/Auto/Off button
twice at any time during operation. The brew indicator will extinguish. Once you
press the On/Auto/Off button again, the appliance will continue brewing.
6. Once the coffee maker has nished brewing, wait until it has nally stopped dripping,
before you remove the carafe.
Keep warm plate
• The coffee maker has a "keep warm plate", which helps to keep the coffee hot for up
to 2 hours (after this it will automatically switch off).
• For optimum taste, serve the coffee right after brewing has nished.
NOTE: Always turn the coffee maker off and disconnect from the power supply when
not in use.
Warning: The temperature of the coffee is very hot, be careful when pouring it into a
cup.
Brew strength selector
• This coffee maker has a brew strength selector which allows you to choose regular
or a more robust avored coffee.
• By using this option, the appliance will begin to work in cycles with 20 seconds
brewing followed by a 10 second pause.
• You can easily choose this option at any time during the brewing process by
pressing the "brew strength" button. The indicator light will turn on.
• Simply press the button again to disable this option.

Pause and serve feature
• This feature allows you to take out the carafe, for a maximum time of 30 seconds, to
enjoy a cup of coffee whilst the coffee maker is still brewing.
• Simply remove the carafe and the pause and serve feature will automatically be
activated.
24 hour delay timer
This coffee maker has a 24 hour delay timer, this allows you to start brewing at a later
time.
1. To use the timer, you must have set the clock time as described in setting the clock
on page 7.
2. Prepare the coffee maker as described in using your coffee maker on page 8.
3. Press the Program button once to use the Timer option. The Auto indicator light will
ash green.
4. Set your preferred starting time by holding the Hour/Minute button.
5. After setting the time, press the On/Auto/Off button twice and the Auto indicator will
light green, the LED will display the current clock. The coffee maker is now setup to
automatically brew coffee at the pre-set later time.
NOTE: If you wish to repeat this for the same time the next day, press the On/Auto/Off
button twice, the auto indicator light illuminates green.
If you disconnect from the power supply at any time the coffee maker will not
start again automatically. You have to repeat the above mentioned, starting with
step 2.

Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before cleaning. To protect against electrical
shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid. After each use,
always make sure the plug is removed from the wall outlet.
1. Clean all detachable parts after each use in warm, soapy water.
2. Wipe the product’s exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
3. Water droplets may buildup in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product
base during brewing. Wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the
product.
4. Wipe the warming plate with a clean, damp cloth. Never use rough, abrasive materials
or cleaners on the warming plate.
5. Replace all parts and keep ready for the next use.

Other useful information
Removing mineral deposits
• From time to time, you may need to clean off any mineral deposits (limescale) left by
water inside your coffee maker to keep it operating efciently. How often you have to
do this depends on the water hardness in your area and on how often you use the
machine.
• You can use a commercially available descaling agent for household products
(according to the instructions on the packet) to descale the coffee maker, if the
product is recommended for use in an automatic coffee maker. Or simply use a
water and vinegar mixture and proceed according to the steps below.
1. Fill the water tank with water and descaler to the MAX level in the gauge of coffee
maker (the scale of water and descaler is 4:1, the detail refers to the instruction of
descaler. Please use “household descaler”, you can use the citric acid instead of the
descaler (the one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric acid).
2. Place the carafe on the heating plate and align the carafe with the center of the
brewing basket.
3. Press the On/Auto/Off button once and the brew indicator will be illuminated red.
After a while, water will drop out automatically.
4. After percolating the equivalent then switch off the appliance by pressing the On/
Auto/Off button again. The brew indicator will be extinguished.
5. Let the solution work 15 minutes then repeat steps 3-5 again.
6. Turn the appliance on by pressing the On/Auto/Off button once and run off the water
until the water tank is completely empty.
7. Rinse by operating the appliance with water at least 3 times.
8. When the cycle is completed turn the coffee maker off.
