Th XCT motor controll rs hav “Us r Inputs” or commonly call d P rsonality Switch s that allow for s t us r
profil s or int ractiv adjustm nts of Sp d or R g n whil driving. XCT Controll rs PRIOR to AUGUST 2016 may
not hav th FN 3-pin int grat d conn ctor in J4-J5-J6 conn ctor w ll (S WEB SITE for s rial numb r cutoff).
This adapt r kit is for all old r controll rs. Us TOOLKIT softwar (V rsion 3.0 or abov ) to nabl th n w
Function Control f atur s. N w r XCT controll rs built ON or AFTER August 2016 will hav th 3-pin conn ctor to
dir ctly plug th FN box s into th XCT controll r J4-J5-J6.
Two diff r nt Function box s availabl ar FN2 dual pot Sp d/R g n [or] FNKS with Mod Switch + R g n knob.
This adapt r wir kit has 3 wir s to plug into th carts OEM wir harn ss to gain acc ss to th us r inputs on th
XCT. Install tim for this wir harn ss adapt r kit is approximat ly 5 minut s.
Steps:
1. Disconn ct positiv batt ry t rminal.
2. CAREFULLY unplug th 26 pin JAE Moric conn ctor from th XCT-YDRE controll r.
3. Th conn ctor us s an ORANGE locking cap on th nd of th conn ctor. This cap is a BEAR to r mov
without damaging it so w includ a n w orang cap in your kit. How v r b warn d r mov th cap
car fully so as not to br ak th holding tab f atur s on th conn ctor its lf or th n w cap will not lock! A
vid o is availabl on th Alltrax W b Sit to show how it is don using a simpl pap r clip as a l v rag
tool. (Y s … a Pap r Clip!).

4. Tak a pap r clip and using a n dl nos – straight n it out, th n b nd into a U Shap about th width of
th orang cap, th n add two SMALL TIPs at a 90 d gr as shown. This will fit b low th conn ctor cap
and us d as “l v rag ” wh n w r l as th sid locking tabs.
a. Ins rt th pry wir you just mad und r th orang cap dg s as shown, about in th middl .
b. Us a small j w l r’s scr w driv r and car fully pr ss outward on th locking tabs – th lock will
unsnap and th orang cap will pop up slightly on that nd. Do th sam for th oth r sid and th
cap will com off compl t ly.
5. Onc th orang locking cap is r mov d, w can ins rt th wir s from th r ar. Th back of th conn ctor
has numb rs for th rows of pins. (G t out your cok bottl r ading glass s…)
a. Pin 17 is USER 1 profil WHITE WIRE us d for REGEN.
b. Pin 16 is USER 2 profil BLACK WIRE us d for ith r SPEED on th FN2 box, [or] MODE on th
FNKS box.
6. Th pins ar clock d and k y d so must b ins rt d in th corr ct dir ction for it to prop rly lock.
7. Pr ss th NEW orang cap onto th conn ctor to lock in th pins.
8. R conn ctor batt ry.
9. R conn ct batt ry t rminal and proceed to the FN Knob Box instructions.
