Installation
Windows
1. Connect the mini Wireless NIC to a USB-A Port on the Host Computer. The
operating system should auto-install native drivers.
Note: If the drivers do not auto-install, please follow the instructions under Download
the Driver section.
macOS
1. Follow the instructions under Download the Driver section.

1. Navigate to

2. Click the Drivers & Downloads tab.
3. Under Driver(s), download the Driver Package corresponding the Operating
System installed on the Host Computer.
Install the Driver
Windows
1. Right-click the zipped Driver Package that was downloaded. Click Extract All.
Browse to the newly created folder.
Note: Ensure to make a note of the location where the drivers were extracted. That
location will be used on the next step.
Windows usually saves the les to the Downloads folder associated with the user
account (e.g. C:\Users\useraccount\Downloads).
2. Open the folder corresponding to the Windows version installed on the Host
Computer.
3. Right-click the Installer Setup le. Click Run as administrator.
Note: If the Run as administrator option is not available, you could be attempting to
run the Installer Setup from within the zipped Driver Package. Extract the les using the
instructions in Step 1 in the Install the Driver section.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Device Driver. Restart the Host
Computer if prompted.

2. Press the WPS button on the AP. The two devices should communicate with one
another and pair automatically.
PIN Input Conguration
1. Open the Realtek Wireless Utility. Click the Wi-Fi Protect Setup tab.
2. Press the Pin Input Cong (PIN) button to generate a PIN Code.
3. Browse to the conguration utility for the AP (typically a web browser interface) and
enter the code into the WPS conguration section to nish pairing the devices.

1. Double-click the downloaded le.
2. Open the folder corresponding to the macOS version installed on the Host
Computer.
3. Run the Installer Setup le inside the folder.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Device Driver. Restart the Host
Computer if prompted.
Linux
1. Extract the contents of the Driver Package.
2. Follow the instructions in the accompanying Readme le to nish the installation.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
WPS allows to automatically setup a secure wireless network on a Windows-based
computer. A WPS compatible AP is required. There are two methods of setting up WPS
described below.

1. Once the mini Wireless NIC is connected and installed on the Host Computer, press
the WPS Button.

Warning: StarTech.com Class A equipment is compliant with Class A of EN 55032. In a

StarTech.com products are tested to the requirements of EN 55032 (emissions) and EN 55035
(immunity). There are no specic precautions which must be taken in order to comply with
the requirements of Directive 2014/30/EU Essential Requirements in Section 1 of Annex I.
In addition, StarTech.com wireless products are further tested to ensure spurious emissions
are within the specied limits, as well as meeting the requirements for adaptivity, which
mitigates against problems caused by co-location with other wireless products.
StarTech.com products are not subject to the requirements in Section 2 of Annex I of

De producten van StarTech.com zijn getest volgens de eisen van EN 55032 (emissies) en EN
55035 (immuniteit). Er zijn geen specieke voorzorgsmaatregelen die moeten worden genomen
om te voldoen aan de eisen van Richtlijn 2014/30/EU Essentiële eisen in sectie 1 van bijlage I.
Bovendien worden de draadloze producten van StarTech.com verder getest om ervoor te
zorgen dat ongewenste emissies binnen de gespeciceerde limieten blijven en dat ze voldoen

Dit symbool op het product of de batterijen of de verpakking betekent dat dit product en
de batterijen die het bevat niet bij het huisvuil mogen worden geplaatst. In plaats daarvan
is het uw verantwoordelijkheid dit in te leveren bij een inzamelpunt voor de recycling van
batterijen en elektrische en elektronische apparatuur.
Deze gescheiden inzameling en recycling draagt bij tot het behoud van natuurlijke
hulpbronnen en voorkomt potentiële negatieve gevolgen voor de volksgezondheid en het
milieu als gevolg van de mogelijke aanwezigheid van gevaarlijke stoen in batterijen en
elektrische en elektronische apparatuur, die veroorzaakt kunnen worden door een onjuiste
verwijdering. De regelgeving inzake afvalverwijdering verschilt per regio. Gooi oude batterijen
en apparatuur weg in overeenstemming met uw plaatselijke voorschriften.
