Defrosting
◆
℃
◆
When the frost layer in freezer compartment is about 5mm
thick, it must be defrosted manually. Disconnect the power supply,
take out all foods in the freezer compartment, and cover them with
clean cloth to prevent meltdown of foods. If the frost layer is loose
and soft, the freezer compartment door is left open for natural
defrosting. If the frost layer is thick, a bowl of warm water (about
50 ) is placed into the freezer compartment to speed up
defrosting, and the freezer compartment door is left open for frost
melting. After defrosting, wipe clean the walls of freezer
compartment and place the foods back.
The refrigerator compartment is featured by automatic
defrosting, and the melt-water of frost flows into the catch tray
above the compressor and automatically evaporates (but the
discharge hole must be kept unblocked).
Except otherwise recommended by manufacturer, do not use
any mechanical device or take any other means to speed up the
process of defrosting.
