1. Introduction
The Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router is a high-performance tool that supports wireless
networking at home, work, or in a public place. The Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router
supports uses a Type II PC car or USB 3G mo em car , either WCDMA or EVDO an even
HSDPA as well, an supports wireless ata transfers up to 54 Mbps, an wire ata transfers up
to 100 Mbps.
The Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router is compatible with in ustry security features.

2. Configuring Wireless WAN Mobile broadband Router
2.1. Installation Considerations
The Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router allows you access your network using a
wireless connection, from virtually anywhere within its operating range. Keep in min
however, that the number, thickness, an location of walls, ceilings, or other objects that the
wireless signals must pass through, may limit this range.
Typical ranges vary epen ing on the types of materials use , an backgroun RF (ra io
frequency) noise in your home or business.
To maximize your wireless range, please follow these gui elines:
1. Keep the number of walls an ceilings between the Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban
Router an other network evices to a minimum. Each wall or ceiling can re uce the
Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router’s range from 3-90 feet (1-30 meters).
Note:
The same consi erations apply to your broa ban EVDO connection.
2. Keep your pro uct aware from electrical evices (such as microwaves, air con itioners,
an televisions) that emit large quantities of RFI (Ra io Frequency Interference).
2.1.1. Installation Instructions- Get Start Networking
Connect the Wireless Router to Your Network
Note:
DO NOT connect Wireless WAN Mobile Broadband Router to power before
performing the installation steps below.
1. Attach the antenna.---picture 2.1

a. Remove the antenna from its plastic wrapper.
b. Screw the antenna in a clockwise irection to the back panel of the unit.
c. Once secure , position the antenna upwar at its connecting joint. This will
ensure optimal reception.

2. Connect a compatible Type II 3G car s or USB mo em with service to the Wireless
WAN Mobile Broa ban Router in one of the following ways:
- Insert your wireless Type II 3G car (either 16-bit or 32-bit ) into the WAN
PCMCIA Car Slot or you can plug your USB mo em into the USB
interface.---see Picture 2.2

Note:
The Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router is esigne to work with
either UMTS or EV-DO an even HSDPA 3G car that can be use as a mo em
(support tethere ata). Please refer to your service provi er for etaile feature
information.
3. Insert the Ethernet patch cable into LAN Port on the back panel of the Wireless
WAN Mobile Broa ban Router, an an available Ethernet port on the network
a apter in the computer you will use to configure the unit.-see Picture 2.

Note:
The Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router LAN Port is
“Auto-MDI/MDIX.” This provi es patch Ethernet cable LAN Port access.

4. Connect the power a apter to the receptor on the back panel of your Wireless WAN
Mobile Broa ban Router. Then plug the other en of the power a apter into a wall
outlet or power strip.---Picture 2.4

2.1.2. stablish WiFi Connection

WiFi an encryption settings must match for access to the Wireless WAN Mobile
Broa ban Router Configuration Menu, an the Internet. Please refer to your WiFi
a apter ocumentation for a itional information.
2.2. Using the Configuration Menu
Once properly configure , the Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router will obtain an
assign IP a ress information automatically. Configuration settings can be establishe
through the Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban Router Configuration Menu. You can access
this interface by performing the steps liste below:
1. Open a web-browser.
2. Type in the
IP Address

http://192.168.123.254
) of the Wireless WAN Mobile
Broa ban Router
Note:
If you have change the
default
IP A ress assigne to the Wireless WAN Mobile
Broa ban Router, ensure you enter the correct IP A ress now.

2.2.1. Wizard setting
Press “Wizard” button - for basic settings with simpler way. (Please check
section 2.2.1)
Or you may click on “Advanced Setup” - for advanced settings. (Please check
each item from section 2.2.2
Click on “ nter” button to get start.
With wizard setting steps, you could configure the router in a very simple way. This
configuration wizard includes settings of
a. Login Password,
b. WAN Setup
c. Wireless Setup,
Press “Next” button to start configuration.

Step 1: Allow you to change the system password.
You can change Passwor here.
It is recommen e that you change the system passwor into the one you prefer to on the basis

of security
1. Key in your Ol Passwor ( if it is the first initiation, the “ a min” will be the efaulte
one.
2: Enter your New Passwor
3: Enter your Passwor again for confirmation; it must be the same as the New Passwor .

:Configure the LAN IP Address
Configure the LAN IP AddressConfigure the LAN IP Address
Configure the LAN IP Address, Host Name and WAN MAC Address.

LAN is short for Local Area Network, an is consi ere your internal network. These
are the IP settings of the LAN interface for the Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban
Router, an they may be referre to as Private settings. You may change the LAN IP
a ress if nee e . The LAN IP a ress is private to your internal network an cannot
be seen on the Internet.
Note:
There are 254 a resses available on the Wireless WAN Mobile Broa ban
Router when using a 255.255.255.0 (Class C) subnet. Example: The router's IP
a ress is 192.168.123.1. The available client IP range is 192.168.123.2 through
192.168.123.254.

2.2.2. Advanced Setup > Basic Setting
1. LAP IP Address: the local IP address of this device. The computers on your
network must use the LAN IP a ress of your pro uct as their Default Gateway. You
can change it if necessary.
2. LAN Netmask: the Netmask of the local IP a ress
3. WAN’s MAC Address: The WAN’s MAC of this evice. If you want to clone the
MAC a ress from your NIC, just click the Clone MAC an save
4. WAN Type: WAN connection type of your ISP. You can select a correct one
from the following options

Advanced Setup > Basic Setting > Primary Setup
Select the WAN types you prefer to get on the internet connection
Caution: For 3G WAN Networking.
The WAN fiel s may not be necessary for
your connection. The information on this page will only be use when your
service provi er requires you to enter a
User Name

to connect to
the 3G network.
