11. Before each use, make sure that it is correctly folded and that the drip tray is inserted correctly
in place.
12. Do not use the appliance in damp or dusty environments, in places with explosive or
ammable substances.
13. Do not immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or other liquids. Otherwise, there
is a risk of electric shock.
14. Do not place heavy objects on the power cable. Make sure that the power cable does not
hang over the edge of the table to avoid hot surfaces or sharp objects.
15. Do not touch the power cord or plug with wet or damp hands.
16. Only use the appliance on a at, dry, clean and stable surface that is heat-resistant. Do not use
the appliance standing on a metal surface, such as a sink drip tray, on a surface that is heat-
sensitive or covered with a tablecloth, paper or other ammable material, near curtains and
other ammable or heat-sensitive materials.
17. Do not place the appliance on the edge of a table or worktop. Place the appliance away from
electric or gas cookers or other heat sources.
18. Do not use the appliance near a bathtub, sink, swimming pool or other source of water.
19. Make sure that a safe distance of at least 50 cm from the surface of ammable materials is
maintained above the appliance in the direction of heat radiation and at least 10 cm in other
directions around the appliance.
20. Make sure there is enough space around the appliance for air circulation, especially during
operation.
21. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is in operation or plugged in.
22. Use only wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils. Metal utensils, knives, forks, etc. can scratch
the non-stick coating and damage the grill.
23. Always use the handle to open the top cover. We recommend using protective kitchen gloves.
24. Use only the accessories supplied with the appliance. Do not use accessories that are not
recommended or marked as suitable by the manufacturer.
25. Check the condition of the food regularly during operation. Do not place any objects on
the appliance.
26. Do not cover or block the ventilation openings.
27. Take extra care when grilling higher fat foods or using oil in cooking.
28. During use, the appliance heats up and remains hot for some time after use. Take extra care
not to touch the heated surface. There is a risk of severe burns.
29. Turn off the appliance by turning it to the OFF position, disconnect the power cable from the
mains socket each time you nish cooking, if you leave the appliance unattended when not in
use and before cleaning, maintenance, relocation or storage.
30. Unplug the appliance by pulling on the plug, not the power cable. Otherwise, the power cable
or outlet may be damaged.
31. Allow the appliance to cool completely before moving, cleaning, maintaining or storing it.
Never move the appliance while it is in operation or until it has cooled down completely.
32. Check the appliance regularly for damage. Do not use it if it shows signs of damage, the grill
plates are scratched, cracked or damaged, the power supply or the plug is damaged. The
appliance does not contain parts repairable by the user. Have all repairs and maintenance
other than routine serviced by an authorized service center.
