Installation and replacement of the protective cover
Warning: Before each use, make sure that the cover is firmly attached and does not show signs of
damage. Otherwise, replace it with an original spare part.
1. Before installing or replacing the guard, first remove the trimming blades – see section "Installing
and replacing the trimming blades".
2. Installation Place the protective cover on the motor unit so that the holes in the protective cover
align with the holes in the motor unit. Insert the screws into the holes and tighten with a screw-
driver (Fig. F). Make sure that the screws are fully tightened and that the cover does not move.
3. Replacement: Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws and remove them. Carefully remove the
protective cover. Then proceed as in step 2 above.
PREPARATION FOR USE
Before preparing for use, make sure that the trimmer is turned off and the battery is removed.
Spare trimming blades

15ENGLISH
Adjusting the height of the front handle
The front handle can be moved up or down depending on your requirements so that you can easily
reach it and comfortably handle the trimmer.
1. Loosen the release knob clockwise (Fig. I1).
2. Adjust the height of the front handle by sliding it up or down (fig. I2)
3. Tighten the release knob counterclockwise until you feel resistance (I3). Always make sure the
release knob is fully tightened.
Modification of the wire guard
The wire guard is the boundary of the area in front of the trimmer and comes into contact with the
surrounding objects around which the trimmer mows the grass. By installing and modifying it, you
reduce the risk of damage to the trimming blades and objects. Extend or retract to adjust the safe
distance between the trimmer head and the surrounding objects.
1. Slide out the wire guard if you need to increase the safety distance (Fig. J1).
2. Retract the wire guard if you need to shorten the safety distance (Fig. J2).
Horizontal angle adjustment
Adjust the horizontal angle of the trimmer head according to the needs of the working environment.
You can adjust the horizontal angle at 90° in four steps.
1. Press and hold the lock to adjust the horizontal angle with one hand.
2. With the other hand, adjust the horizontal angle (Fig. K).
3. Once the trimmer head angle is set then release the lock. Always make sure that the lock is fully
secured.
Vertical angle adjustment
Adjust the vertical angle of the trimmer head when using the trimmer to mow the edges of the lawn.
You can set the vertical angle at 90° on each side.
1. Pull out the vertical angle adjustment lock (Fig. L).
2. Turn the entire trimmer head with the motor unit clockwise or counterclockwise.
3. Release the lock to secure the trimmer head at the desired angle. Always make sure that the lock
is fully secured.
OPERATION
Intended use
This grass trimmer is designed for personal use for mowing grass in gardens, e.g. around rocks,
under benches, trees and in hard-to-reach places. Do not use it for commercial or other purposes.
Switching On/Off
Before switching on the trimmer, make sure that:
• It is correctly assembled;
• All locking knobs are properly secured and all bolts and nuts are fully tightened;
• The battery is inserted correctly;
• The battery is fully charged.
For safety reasons, the grass trimmer is fitted with a safety lock that prevents unintentional starting.
To start the trimmer, first press the safety catch and then press the on/off switch (Fig. M). The trimmer
will start.
USE

16 ENGLISH
As soon as you release the switch, the trimmer automatically shuts off and operation stops.
Warning: After switching off the trimmer, always wait until the trimmer blades have come to a com-
plete stop.
Never use the trimmer if it only starts when the switch is pressed. In this case, contact an authorized
service centre. The safety switch is damaged.
Warning: Do not disable the safety switch or attempt to bypass the safety system. Do not attempt to
force the switch without first depressing the safety switch.
Mowing grass
Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands at an angle of about 50° to the ground.
Stand upright and stable when handling the trimmer. Move slowly from side to side. Cut the grass
from top to bottom. Keep your balance throughout the mowing operation.Always be confident when
standing on slopes and walking. Never run.
Do not allow the trimmer blades to touch the ground or any obstacles. They can be damaged. Do not
use the grass trimmer to dig or burrow into the ground.
Do not lean, bend or stand on one leg, etc.
Warning: Do not try to mow long or thick grass in one cut. Tall grass can wrap around the trimmer
head, jam and cause the motor unit to overheat. This could damage the trimmer.
Mowing grass around trees, blocks, walls, stones, etc.
Raise and tilt the trimmer so that the trimmer blades do not touch the ground. Mow the grass at short
intervals from top to bottom.
Carefully mow the grass around trees or other obstacles to avoid contact between the obstacle and
the trimmer blades. We recommend keeping a safe distance of 5 cm from a tree or other obstacle. If
necessary, adjust the distance of the wire guide. If the trimmer comes into contact with a tree or an-
other obstacle, it can result in immediate damage. In this case, the trimming blade must be replaced
immediately.
Mowing the edges of the lawn
By adjusting the vertical angle, you can use the trimmer to mow the edges of the lawn.
Adjust the horizontal and vertical angles as required – see the previous section.
Place the wire guard on the ground and slowly move the trimmer along the lawn, wall or other ob-
stacle.
It is always important to adjust the vertical angle so that the trimmer head faces away from the trim-
mer operator.
Overload protection
If you use the trimmer or battery in a way that draws an abnormally high current, the trimmer will au-
tomatically stop without any indication. If this happens, release the switch to turn off the trimmer and
stop the operation that caused it to overload. Then turn it on again.
Overheating protection
If the trimmer or battery overheats, the trimmer will automatically stop. If this happens, release the
switch to turn off the trimmer and let the battery cool down. Then turn it on again.
Protection against excessive discharge
If the charge status drops excessively, the trimmer will automatically stop. If this happens, release the
switch to turn off the trimmer. Remove the battery and charge it.
Note: Overload, overheating and over-discharge protection are the trimmer and battery safety sys-
tems that protect them from damage. Do not attempt to bypass or modify these security features.
There is a risk of serious injury or death.
