1. Special Precautions
Handle the Optical Fiber according to the method described in this operation manual.
(1) Safety Precautions
These precautions are shown for safe use of our products and for prevention of damage or
injury to operators or others.
Be sure to read each of them, since all of them are important for safety.
When using with laser equipment, also read operation manual attached to the laser.
Denotes operations and practices that may imminently result in
serious injury or loss of life if not correctly followed.
Never disassemble, repair or modify the Optical Fiber.
Laser beam leak can cause heating, fire and breakage. Do not do anything
other than the maintenance described in the operation manual.
Do not look at or touch the beam.
Do not look at the end face of the Optical Fiber connected to laser equipment.
Both direct laser beams and scattered laser beams are highly dangerous. If the
beam enters the eye directly, it can cause blindness.
Denotes operations and practices that may result in serious
injury or loss of life if not correctly followed.
Wear protective glasses.
Be sure to wear protective glasses while using the laser. Even if you wear them,
you may lose your sight if the laser beam enters your eyes directly.
Do not expose your skin to the laser beam.
Your skin may be severely burnt.
Do not damage the Optical Fiber.
Do not cut, machine, tread on, twist or tense any cable. The Optical Fiber may
be broken, and that can cause heating and fire due to laser beam leak.
Do not use the Optical Fiber, end face of which is damaged.
A damaged Optical Fiber can not transmit laser beam normally, causing
connector breakage, heating and fire. If any part needs to be repaired or
replaced, consult us or your distributor.
Connect the Optical Fiber securely.
Insecure connection can make laser beam to be incorrectly incident or to output
incorrectly, causing breakage, heating and fire.
Stop the operation immediately if any trouble occurs.
Continuous operation after occurrence of a trouble such as burning smell,
abnormal sound, abnormal heat, smoke, etc. can cause electric shock and fire.
If such a trouble occurs, immediately consult us or your distributor.
Denotes operations and practices that may result in personal
injury or damage to the equipment if not correctly followed.
When inserting or disconnecting the Optical Fiber, hold the connector.
If the Optical Fiber is pulled to disconnect the connector, it may be broken, and
that can cause heating and fire due to laser leak.

1. 特に注意していただきたいこと
本製品は､この取扱説明書に記載されている方法に従ってご使用ください。
(１)安全上の注意
ここに示した注意事項は、製品を安全にお使いいただき、使用者や他の人々への危害
や損害を未然に防止するためのものです。
いずれも安全に関する重要な内容ですので、必ずお読みください。
レーザ装置に接続して使用するさいは、装置付属の取扱説明書もお読みください。
取り扱いを誤った場合、人が死亡または重傷を負う危険が切迫して生
じることが予想されるもの。
光ファイバの分解・修理・改造は絶対にしない
レーザ光漏れによる発熱・発火・破損のおそれがあります。取扱説明書に記載
されているメンテナンス以外のことはしないでください。
ビームを見たり触れたりしない
レーザ装置に接続した状態で光ファイバ端面を覗かないでください。直接光も
散乱光も危険です。レーザ光が直接目に入ると失明するおそれがあります。
取り扱いを誤った場合、人が死亡または重傷を負う可能性が想定され
るもの。
保護メガネを着用する
装置を使用している場所では、必ず保護メガネを着用してください。保護メガ
ネを着用しても、レーザ光が直接目に入ると失明するおそれがありますので、
十分注意してください。
ＹＡＧレーザ光を人体に照射しない
やけどをしますので絶対におやめください。
光ファイバを傷つけない
切断・加工や、踏む・ねじる・引っ張るなどの扱いはしないでください。
光ファイバが破損し、レーザ漏れによる発熱や発火の原因となります。
端面の傷ついた光ファイバは使わない
レーザ光が正しく伝送されず、コネクタ部の破損・発熱・発火の原因となりま
す。修理・交換が必要なときは、お買い上げの販売店または弊社までご連絡く
ださい。
コネクタ部は確実に接続する
接続の仕方が不十分だと、レーザ光が正しく入射・出射されず、コネクタ部の
破損・発熱・発火の原因となります。
異常時には運転を中止する
こげ臭い・変な音がする・非常に熱くなる・煙が出る、などの異常が現れたま
ま運転を続けると、感電や火災の原因となります。すぐにお買い上げの販売店
または弊社までご連絡ください。
取り扱いを誤った場合、人が傷害を負う危険が想定されるものおよび
物的損害の発生が想定されるもの。
光ファイバの抜き差しは、プラグ部分を持って行う
コード部分を引っ張って抜くと、コネクタ部が破損してレーザ光漏れによる発
熱や発火の原因となります。

(2) Precautions for Handling
○
1Environment
Use the Laser in a place where the ambient temperature is 5°–35°C and humidity is
85% or less and where there are no sudden temperature fluctuation. Do not use it in
the following places:
where there is considerable dirt, dust, or oil mist,
where the Laser may be subjected to vibration or impact,
where the Laser may be exposed to chemicals,
where there is a nearby high noise source, and
where moisture may be condensed on the surface of the Laser.

2Malfunction
When the Optical Fiber is broken or the laser output decreases, stop the use
immediately and consult us or your distributor.
○
3Stain on the outside of the Optical Fiber
If the SUS tube is stained, wipe it with a dry cloth or a moistened cloth. If it is badly
stained, use neutral detergent or alcohol to clean it. Do not use paint thinner, benzine,
etc., which can discolor or deform the parts.

4Mounting
To prevent loosening of the Optical fiber, fix it with the following tightening torque with
10-mm spanner.
Input unit side: 0.9 N･m (9 kgf･cm)
Output unit side: 2.0 N･m (20 kgf･cm)

5Bending radius
When the bending radius of the Optical Fiber gets smaller, transmission loss of laser
beam is generated and divergence angle at output end gets larger. Do not bend the
Optical Fiber more sharply than the minimum bending radius, otherwise it may be
broken.

6Twist
When the Optical Fiber is twisted, it may be broken. Do not twist forcedly. Also,
when the Optical Fiber is subjected to strong shocks, it may be broken.

7Keeping
When keep the Optical Fiber, be sure to put the fiber cap to prevent the end from
becoming dirty. If the end of the Optical Fiber is dirty or coated with dust, it will be
damaged. In the worst case, the lens may be damaged.

(２)取扱上の注意
① 環境について
周囲温度５～３５℃、周囲湿度８５％以下で、急激な温度変化のない場所で使用し
てください。また、次のような場所での使用は避けてください。
・ちり、ほこり、オイルミストの多いところ
・振動や衝撃の多いところ
・薬品などを扱うところ
・強いノイズ発生源が近くにあるところ
・結露するようなところ
② 故障について
光ファイバが破損したりレーザ出力が落ちたりした場合は、ただちに使用を中止し、
お買い上げの販売店または弊社までご相談ください。
③ 製品外部の汚れについて
ＳＵＳ管の汚れは、柔らかい布または水を少し含ませた布で拭いてください。汚れ
がひどいときは、中性洗剤を薄めたものかアルコールで拭き取ってください。
シンナーやベンジンなどは、変色や変形のおそれがあるので使用しないでください。
④ 取り付けについて
光ファイバの緩み防止のため、１０mm のスパナを使い、下記の締め付けトルクで固
定してください。
入射ユニット側：０.９N･m(９kgf･cm)
出射ユニット側：２.０N･m(２０kgf･cm)
⑤ 曲げ半径について
光ファイバの曲げ半径が小さくなると、レーザ光の伝搬損失が生じたり、出射側の
レーザ光の拡がり角が大きくなったりします。また、光ファイバを、最小曲げ半径
以下に曲げると破損するおそれがあるのでおやめください。

⑥ ねじれについて
光ファイバをねじって接続すると破損するおそれがあります。無理にねじらずお使
いください。また、強いショックを与えても破損することがあるのでご注意くださ
い。
⑦ 保管について
光ファイバの端面に、汚れやほこりが付いていると、ファイバ端面を損傷するばか
りでなく、レンズまで痛める場合があります。
ファイバを保管するさいは、端面が汚れないよう、必ずキャップをしてください。

2Ferrule ꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏInserted into input and output units.
○
3Nut ꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏConnects to input and output units by rotating this.
○
4SUS tube holder ꞏꞏꞏFixes the SUS tube and the Ferrule.
○
5SUS tube ꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏꞏProtects the optical fiber.
When using the Multi-lens output unit, FOL-30M-70
□□-□□AC/QC, remove the Guard since it
interferes with the internal parts.
3. Maintenance
○
1Blow the dust off the end face of the Optical Fiber with an air
blower.
○
2If dust can not be removed by performing step ○ 1above, lightly
wipe it with the cleaning paper. To avoid scratching the end face,
never press the cleaning paper by finger against the end face of
the fiber.
(The Guard is right-hand screw type. Remove it with 3.2-mm
spanner.)
○
3Check the end face for dust and staining.
○
4Mount the Guard again with 0.15 N･m (1.5 kgf･cm) of tightening
torque.
○
5Check the end face again.
Note: It is recommended that you use an end face checker (sold
separately) to check the end face of the optical fiber for flaws,
dust, and burns.
Tightening torque for the Guard should be 0.15 N･m (1.5 kgf･cm). When the Guard is
tightened strongly, the screw may be damaged.
Also, make sure that the Guard does not touch the end face of the fiber when mounting.

2. 各部の名称とそのはたらき
① ガード‥‥‥‥‥‥光ファイバ端面を保護します。
② フェルール‥‥‥‥入射ユニットや出射ユニットの取り付け穴に差し込みます。
③ ナット‥‥‥‥‥‥この部分を回して入射ユニットや出射ユニットと接続します。
④ ＳＵＳ管ホルダ‥‥ＳＵＳ管とフェルールを固定します。
⑤ ＳＵＳ管‥‥‥‥‥光ファイバを保護します。

注意
マルチレンズ出射ユニット FOL-30M-70□□-□
□AC/QC をお使いの場合、①ガードが内部の部品
と干渉しますので、取り外してご使用ください。
3. メンテナンス
① 端面のほこりをエアブローで飛ばします。
② 端面のほこりが取れない場合は、ガードを外して端面をクリ
ーニングペーパーで軽く拭きます。傷の原因となりますので、
クリーニングペーパーを指先で端面に押し当てないでくださ
い。
(ガードは右ネジ式になっています。３.２㎜のスパナで外し
てください。)
③ 端面にほこりや汚れがついてないか確認します。
④ 再びガードを取り付けます。締め付けトルクは０.１５N･m
(１.５kgf･㎝)としてください。
⑤ もう一度、端面を確認してください。
※ 光ファイバ端面の傷、ほこり、焼けを見る場合は、端面チェ
ッカー（別売品）をお使いになると便利です。
！
注意
ガードの締め付けトルクは、０.１５N･m(１.５㎏ f･㎝)としてください。強く締めるとネ
ジを損傷するおそれがあります。
また、取り付けのさいに、ガードがファイバ端面に触れないよう注意してください。
