Decorator Panel Dimensions
Listedbelow are required heightx width dimensions for
decorator panels. Panels are not supplied with this kit and
can be purchased locally.

Procedure
Caution
Toavoidpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage,
twopeopleshouldremoveandrehangeach
door.
Caution
Toavoidpersonalinjury,protecthandsand
arms.Trim pieces may have sharp edges.
Important
Save all screws and reuse in original location.
1. Removetophandleend caps by removing screws.
2. DispenserModels
Removecrushed/cubediceswitchcoveron
dispenserbypullingforward.Removescrewsfrom
bottomof dispenser cover. Releasebottom clips on
dispensercover by placing tapededge of putty knife
underneathcoverand pulling out. Release topclips
byholding bottom of dispenser cover out andslide
upward.
3. Removedoorhandleinsertsbyplacingscrewdriver
attopof door handles inarea between handle and
insertand pulling out.
4. Pulledgeof inserts forward alonglength of handles.
Caution
Toavoidpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage,
holdhandleswhenremoving.
5. Removedoorhandlesbyremovingscrews.Bottom
insertsareremovedwithhandle.
6. Removetopdoortrim by removing screws.
7. Ifrefrigeratorhasdecorator panels, carefully slide
panelsout.On dispenser models, remove
dispensertrim.

8. Removetrim on sidesof doors byplacing taped
edgeof putty knife underneath trim and pullingout.
Caution
Toavoidpersonalinjuryorproperty
damage,temporarilytapedoorsshut.
9. Tape doors shut using masking tape.
10. Removetophingecoversbyremovingscrews.
Tracearound top hinges with a pencil. Thishelps
alignmentwhenreassembling.Ondispenser
models,unplugtophingewire connectors. Remove
top hinge screws.
WARNING
To avoid electrical shock which can cause
severepersonalinjuryordeath,greenground
wire must remain attached to hinge.
11. Remove tape fromrefrigeratordoor.Grasp
refrigeratordoorsecurelyand lift up while opening.
Thiswill free door frombottom hinge pin. Tophinge
maycome offdoor.
12. Removetoegrillebypullingforward.
Caution
Toavoidpropertydamage,drainwaterfrom
water tube into small bucket.
13. DispenserModels
Loosen water tube clamp screw. Loosen plastic
water tube union nut. Gently pull water tube away
fromunion nut and throughtube clamp.
14. Removetapefrom freezer door.Grasp freezer door
securelyand lift up while opening. This willfree
doorfrom bottom hinge pin. On dispenser models,
plastic water tube must slide through slot in bottom
doorhinge as door is raised. Top hinge willremain
attachedto door.
15. Remove bottomdoortrim by removing screws.
WheninstallingHTK200S,HTGK200W,HTK220S
andHTK220Wkits, remove door stops.Confirm
support plate is under door trim. Install new bottom
door trim by placing trim on bottom of doors. Insert
andtighten screws. When installing HTK200S,
HTGK200W,HTK220Sand HTK220W kits, install
new door stops by placing door stops on bottom of
doors.Insert and tightenscrews.

16. Rehang doors by positioning bottom sockets onto
bottom door hinge pins. Position so doors are flush
withsidesof refrigerator cabinet. Handleside of
doorsshould be approximately1/8inch(3.2
millimeters)higher than hinge sideof doors. Doors
willsettle when loaded with food. On dispenser
models,whenreplacingfreezerdoor, thread water
tubethrough bottomhinge pinand watertube clamp.
Caution
Toavoidpersonalinjuryorpropertydamage,
temporarilytape doors shut.
17. Tape doors shut using masking tape.
Important
• Ensuretrimpieces adhere properly byconfirming
surfacesareclean,dry and free of adhesive
residue.
• Discardfactory installed trim and handles.
18. Replace top hinges by placing top hinges on
refrigerator.Insertand tighten screws. On
dispensermodels,reconnect top hinge wire
connectors.Install new top hinge covers by placing
hingecoversoverhinges.On dispenser models,
carefullyplacewiresundercover to avoid pinching
wires. Insert screws and tighten.
WARNING
To avoid electrical shock which can cause
severepersonalinjuryordeath,green
groundwire must be attachedto freezer
doorhinge.
19. Install new bottom door handle caps by pushing up
into bottom of new handles until caps snap in place.
20. Install newdoorhandles by placingdoor handles on
door. Insert andtighten screws. Install newhandle
inserts by snapping in place.
Thin Section
21. Remove thin section on top handle end caps to
allowroom for panels. Discardsection. Replace
top handle end caps by placing end caps on
handles.Insert and tighten screws.
22. DispenserModels
Replacedispensercover by snapping in place.
Insert and tighten screws. Replace switch by
snappinginplace.
23. Install new top door trim by placing trim on top of
doors. Insert screws but do not completely tighten.
WheninstallingHTK200E and HTK220E, install new
color coordinated screws taped to trim.
24. DispenserModels
Installnew dispenser trim on freezer panels by
slidingtrimon bottom edge ofupper freezer door
panelandtopedgeof lower freezer door panel.
25. Slide decorator doorpanels into placeuntil panels
aresecureunder door handle inserts.
Important
Permanent, double-sided tape is used to attach some
trimpiecestorefrigerator. Beforeremovingpaperbacking,
checkplacement of trim pieces on refrigerator. Trim
piecesmay be damagedif adjustment orremoval is
attemptedafterinstallation.

26. Install side door trim by peeling off 11/2inches (38
millimeters) of backing. Place trim against bottom
cornerofrefrigeratorcabinetoveredgeofbottom
trim. After checking placement, peel off backing and
press into place. Place side door trim under edge of
top trim. Tighten top trim screws.
27. Push water tube into plastic union nut and tighten
union nut by hand. Gently pull on tube to confirm
nut is tight. Tighten water tube clamp screw.
Caution
Toavoidpropertydamage, confirm water
tubeunion nut is secure before replacing toe
grille.
28. Install new toe grille (if supplied) by inserting clips in
holesand snapping in.
