Notes:
1. There is a 15-20 second initialization time after powering on the device. The motion sensor will not trigger during
initialization.
2. The device includes a 3 second delay after a sound has finished playing before retriggering.
3. ey A and ey B are valid for Previous or Next file selection while a sound is playing. The keys are invalid during Standby.
4. The micro-USB port is used for uploading MP3 files to internal flash OR for powering the device. Device cannot be
powered by a computer’s USB port.

Power
The MicroSound3 PIR Motion Sensor MP3 Player can be powered by either three AAA batteries OR a
USB wall-wart power supply and icro-USB cable ( any cell phones use this type of power supply and
cable for recharging). The unit cannot be powered fro a USB port on a co puter because the
co puter i ediately loads a driver and prepares for MP3 file anage ent.
Load or Update Audio Files
1. Connect the sound player to your co puter using a icro-USB cable. Copy the MP3 file(s) to the
unit using Windows Explorer. Depending on file size, this ay take several inutes.
2. When the files are done copying, unplug the MicroSound3 fro the co puter and install three AAA
batteries into the unit. Alternatively, the MicroSound3 can be plugged into a wall-wart style power
supply. Do not use batteries and a power supply at the same time!
3. Turn the switch on and wave your hand in front of the lens to test it. Press Key A and Key B to scroll
through ultiple files (if you have ore than one).
Mode Switching
The MicroSound3 supports two odes of operation:
1. Sequential ode – plays each sound file sequentially when otion is detected, and
2. Single ode – plays the sa e file each ti e otion is detected.
Si ply activating the device ultiple ti es will tell you which ode the unit is in.
To change the ode, press Key A for about 4 seconds while the device is playing a sound file. The LED
will flash twice to indicate that the device is in Sequential ode and will loop through each file upon
sensing otion. The LED flashes three times if the device is in Single ode and will play only the
current sound file when otion is detected. To change between these odes, press Key A again for
about 4 seconds while the device is playing a sound.
When in Single ode, you can scroll through the sound files to select which file will be played. Key B
will scroll forward through the list and Key A will scroll backwards through the list. The device ust be
playing a sound while scrolling through the files – the next file will i ediately play, aking it easy to
select the file you want to hear.
Si ilarly when in Sequential ode, you can scroll through the sounds using Key B to scroll forward
through the list and Key A to scroll backwards. The device will play the next sound in the sequence
upon otion detection.
