Assembly
Assembly
1. Unpack the Electric Can Opener from the box.
2. Remove any unwanted packaging materials such as cardboard, plastics or
styrofoam.
3. Check that all parts are complete and unit is not damaged.
4. Using a damp cloth wipe down the can opener and dry thoroughly. DO NOT
IMMERSE THE ELECTRIC CAN OPENER BASE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID.
5. Attach the cutting head to the can opener and press the head down to ensure
the head has been properly assembled.
Caution: Handle the cutting head with care, the blade is very sharp!
DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO CLEAN THE SURFACE
DO NOT IMMERSE THE CAN OPENER INTO WATER AT ANY TIME

1. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord or plug in
water or any other liquid. This is an electrical appliance. To avoid the risk of
electrical shock or serious personal injury, always operate with dry hands.
2. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is being used by or near
children. This can opener is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the can opener by a person responsible for
their safety.
3. Do not use the can opener outdoors. It is for household use only.
4. Do not allow the can opener to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary
when the can opener is used by or near children.
5. Do not use the can opener with a damaged cord or outlet plug.
6. Do not use the can opener if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or
dropped in water. Return the can opener to the service center for
examination, repair or refund or contact customer service.
7. Do not attempt to change accessories while the can opener is running.
8. Do not handle the plug or the can opener with wet hands.
9. Use the can opener only as described in this manual. The use of accessory
attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause damage or
personal injuries.
10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings
and moving parts.
11. Do not use abrasive materials to clean the can opener.
12. Do not immerse the can opener in water.

14. Do not abuse the power cord. Never carry the can opener by the power cord
or pull the power cord to disconnect the plug from an outlet; instead grasp

16. Always use caution when lifting and handling the blade bracket.

WARNING: Read and understand all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions
listed below may result in electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. The warnings,
cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all
possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the
operator that common sense and caution are a factor which cannot be built into this
product, but must be supplied by the operator.
CAUTION: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords
are available from local hardware stores and may be used if care is exercised in their
use. If an extension cord is required, special care and caution is necessary. Also, the
cord must be: (1) marked with an electrical rating of 125V, and at least 13 A., 1625 W.,
and (2) the cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.
Polarized plug
NOTE: This can opener has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit
in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
Electric power
If the electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliances may not
operate properly. The appliances should be operated on a separate electrical circuit
from other operating appliances.
Safety warning
Although your can opener is easy to operate, for your safety, the warnings below
must be followed:
1. Do not place the can opener near a heat source.
2. Do not unplug by pulling on the power supply cord.
3. The can opener must be unplugged:
A. Before any cleaning or maintenance.
B. If it appears to be faulty.

How to use the can opener
1. Lift the cutting head and plug the unit
into an outlet.
2. Tip the can forward so that it’s rim is under
the cutting head and the magnet comes down.
3. Press down on the cutting head while making
sure, the blade is on the inside rim.
4. The can will rotate and the blade will cut the
can open. This can opener has a hands-free
feature, it is not necessary to hold the cutting
head down or support the can during cutting.
Note: In the case that a can weighs more than 18oz, it is necessary to press
and hold the can opener to avoid overturning.
5. When the can is opened, the can opener will stop automatically.
6. To remove the can, hold it with one hand and raise the cutting head with the
other one.
Caution: Avoid contact with the cut edges of the can or the lid, as they are
very sharp! Carefully remove the lid from the magnet and discard.
Can opening tips
1. This can opener should not be used to open cans designed to be opened by
another method, such as a pull tab, peel-off foil seal, or rolling key. This can
opener will not open rimless cans or cans with angled corners.
2. If there is a dent in the rim of a can, open the other end or start the cutting
action just beyond the dent.
3. Cans with heavy seams, uneven rims or odd shapes may cause the can opener
to stall. If this occurs, turn the can slightly by hand to aid the cutting action.
4. Cans with aluminum lids will not stick to the magnet.
5. This item is not dishwasher safe.

How to use the bottle opener
Before opening bottles, unplug the power supply from the electrical outlet.
1. Hold the bottle and position the cap
under the metal hook in the bottle
opener.
Note: Be sure the bottle neck is not under the
metal hook, or the glass may break. Hold the
can opener with one hand and pull down to pop
the cap off with the other hand.
2. The bottle opener will only remove metal
bottle caps. Do not use it for the bottles with
screw-off cap or pull ring.
How to use the knife sharpener
Before sharpening knives, unplug the power supply from the electrical outlet.
1. Place the knife intended to be
sharpened into the slot of the knife
sharpener, located at the back of the
can opener.
2. For best results, sharpen the entire length
of the knife carefully by holding the can
opener with one hand while pulling the
knife through the slot back and forth with
the other, until desired sharpness is achieved.
Caution: Be very careful with knife after sharpening!
3. After Sharpening is completed, wash and dry the
knife.
Knife sharpening tips
1. Clean and dry knives before sharpening.
2. Do not attempt to sharpen serrated blades, as this will smooth their edges.
3. Do not attempt to sharpen scissors.

CAUTION:
Always be sure that the can opener is unplugged before cleaning or attempting to
store the item. NEVER IMMERSE base in water or any other liquid.
It is important to clean the can opener thoroughly after each use to prevent sticky
build ups that are difficult to clean later. Proper cleaning of the can opener leads
to clean, better tasting food.
1. When performing any cleaning or maintenance to this unit, be sure to unplug
from power outlet first.
2. Remove the individual parts from the can opener.
3. Carefully wash the detachable cutting head in warm soapy water, rinse, and
dry thoroughly before storing. Handle with care, the blade is very sharp!
4. Wipe the base with a damp cloth, sponge or paper towel. Do NOT immerse
the base or run water over the base unit. Dry the surfaces with a soft cloth or
paper towel before storing.
5. Do not use abrasive cleaners on any part of the electric knife.
6. Store in a cool dry location out of reach of children. Never wrap the power
cord around the unit. Use the cord storage in the back of the can opener.
CAUTION: The blade is very sharp! Handle with care.

1. Quite el abrelatas eléctrico de la caja.
2. Deshágase de materiales de embalaje no deseados como cartones,
plásticos o poliestireno.
3. Compruebe que todas las piezas estén completas y que la unidad no esté dañada.
4. Con un paño húmedo, limpie el abrelatas y séquelo a fondo. NO SUMERJA

alimentación o los enchufes en agua u otro líquido. Este es un
electrodoméstico. Para evitar el riesgo de descarga eléctrica o lesiones

2. Es necesaria una atenta supervisión cuando el aparato es usado por niños o

lesiones graves. Las advertencias, precauciones e instrucciones que se detallan en este manual
de instrucciones no cubren todas las condiciones y situaciones posibles que podrían suceder. El
operador debe entender que el sentido común y la precaución son factores que no se pueden
incluir en el producto, sino que los debe aportar el operador mismo.
PRECAUCIÓN: Se proporciona un cable eléctrico corto para reducir el riesgo de lesiones
personales resultantes de enredarse o tropezar con un cable más largo. Hay disponibles cables
de extensión en las tiendas locales de hardware y estos se pueden utilizar si se tiene cuidado en
su uso. Si se requiere usar un cable de extensión, es necesario tener especial cuidado y
precaución. Además, el cable debe: (1) estar marcado con una clasificación eléctrica de 125 V y
al menos 13 A, 1625 W y (2) el cable debe colocarse de manera que no cuelgue de un

Enchufe polarizado
NOTA: Este abrelatas posee un enchufe polarizado (una clavija es más ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, este enchufe está
diseñado para entrar en un tomacorriente polarizado en un solo sentido.
Si el enchufe no entra completamente en el tomacorriente, gire el enchufe.
Si el enchufe aún no encaja, comuníquese con un electricista calificado. No intente
eliminar esta característica de seguridad.
Alimentación eléctrica
Si el circuito eléctrico está sobrecargado con otros electrodomésticos, estos podrían no

Cómo usar el abrelatas
1. Levante el cabezal de corte y enchufe
la unidad a un tomacorriente.
2. Incline la lata hacia adelante para que el aro esté debajo
del cabezal de corte y el imán baje.
3. Presione el cabezal de corte hacia abajo y
asegúrese de que la hoja esté en el aro
interior.
4. La lata girará y la hoja la cortará. Este
abrelatas tiene una función manos libres; no
es necesario sostener el cabezal de corte o
sostener la lata durante el corte.
Nota: En caso de latas que pesen más de 18 oz (510 g), es necesario
mantener presionado el abrelatas para evitar que gire de más.
5. Cuando se abre la lata, el abrelatas se detiene automáticamente.
6. Para quitar la lata, sosténgala con una mano y con la otra levante el cabezal
de corte.
Precaución: Evite tocar los bordes cortados de las latas o las tapas porque
quedan muy filosos. Con cuidado quite la tapa del imán y deséchela.
Consejos para abrir latas
1. No se debe usar el abrelatas para abrir latas diseñadas para ser abiertas de
otra forma, como jalar de una pestaña abridora, quitar un sello hermético
o una rosca. El abrelatas no abrirá latas sin aro o con ángulos cerrados.
2. Si hay una abolladura en el aro de la lata, abra el otro extremo o comience
a cortar justo después de la abolladura.
3. Las latas con uniones gruesas, aros desiguales o con formas raras podrían
trabar el abrelatas. Si esto sucede, gire un poco la lata a mano para ayudar a
cortar.
4. Las latas con tapas de aluminio no quedarán adheridas al imán.
5. Este artículo no es apto para el lavavajillas.

Cómo usar el abrebotellas
Antes de abrir botellas, desconecte la fuente de alimentación del tomacorriente.
1. Sostenga la botella y coloque la
tapa debajo del gancho de metal del
abrebotellas.
Nota: Asegúrese de que el cuello de la botella
no esté debajo del gancho de metal o el cristal
podría romperse. Sostenga el abrelatas con una
mano y jale hacia abajo para destapar la botella
con la otra mano.
2. El abrebotellas solo quita tapas metálicas.
No la use con tapas de rosca o de aro.
Cómo usar el afilador de cuchillos
Antes de afilar cuchillos, desconecte la fuente de alimentación del tomacorriente.
1. Coloque el cuchillo que desea afilar
en la ranura del afilador de cuchillos
que se encuentra en la parte
posterior del abrelatas.
2. Para obtener mejores resultados, afile
toda la extensión del cuchillo con cuidado
sosteniendo el abrelatas con una mano
mientras mueve el cuchillo por la ranura
hacia adelante y atrás con
la otra, hasta alcanzar el afilado deseado.
Precaución: ¡Tenga mucho cuidado con el cuchillo después de afilarlo!

PRECAUCIÓN:

Es importante limpiar el abrelatas a fondo después de cada uso para evitar
acumulaciones pegajosas que son difíciles de limpiar después. La limpieza
adecuada del abrelatas producirá alimentos más limpios y de mejor sabor.
1. Cuando limpie o dé mantenimiento a esta unidad, asegúrese de
desenchufarla antes del tomacorriente.
2. Quite las piezas individuales del abrelatas.
3. Lave con cuidado el cabezal de corte desmontable con agua tibia y jabón,
enjuáguelo y séquelo bien antes de guardarlo. Manipule con cuidado ya
que la hoja es muy filosa.
4. Frote la base con un paño húmedo, una esponja o una toalla de papel. NO
sumerja la base o deje correr agua sobre la base de la unidad. Seque las
superficies con un paño suave o una toalla de papel antes de guardar la
cafetera.
5. No use limpiadores abrasivos en ninguna parte del cuchillo eléctrico.
6. Guarde en un lugar seco y frío, fuera del alcance de los niños. Nunca
